GingerMod - Custom Italian Style - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is my first post here, so don't eat me alive if I posted in the wrong place / method
I have searched, I have tried, I have been unsuccessful.
I installed GingerMod 0.8, and works like a dream, except for the horrible Italian Custom Style logo.
I have managed to change the boot logo to the stock one, and I have managed to change the boot animation, however this logo persists.
This is how the screens show.
Boot Logo (changed to stock one) --> Italian Custom Style logo --> Boot animation.
I just cannot find a way to change the middle part, and cannot find any info about it anywhere.
Some direction would be appreciated.

It's related to their custom kernel IIRC. If you flash another compatible kernel, you won't see their ICS logo.

HELP Change boot animation

So i have searched this forum, plus google and other forums on how to change the boot animation for the eris. I know how to change the splash screen (the 3 skateboards androids) but the verizon and htc animations i cant seem to get to change. somehow i was able to get rid of that animation so now when it boots up i get a custom splash screen instead of the android skateboards. then after the custom splash it goes to a black screen, and skips over the new animation that i am try to use.
can anyone lend a hand in how to do this or what i am doing wrong?
Many threads and howto's on this. Please try to search again, or look for threads started by me.
Also please move this to the theme forum.
can anyone provide a debug walkthrough to try and figure out what i did wrong and why i dont see my boot animations?

[Q] Change Kernel Boot Splash Logo

Hi All,
How to change kernel boot splash logo?
Facts:
I have LG Optimus 2x (P990). Current ICS kernel have two LG icons splash logo. I'm building my own CM10.1 kang, so I have kernel & android source codes.
What did I tried:
1) initlogo.rle
My ramdisk do not contain any initlogo.rle file. I created new CM10.1 build including my new initlogo.rle. Nothing changed, LG splash logo still remains there.
2) BOOT_LOGO defconfig
I enabled BOOT_LOGO defconfig and replaced 224.ppm picture. Again, nothing happen.
I wonder where can be current splash screen logo located and how can I override it.
I asked same question in our forum, but looks like nobody knows answer. I'm posting it here in hope that maybe somebody solve similar case for other device or maybe have any idea which can help me.
Please, any idea is welcomed! Thanks

Removing Three Network boot logo

I've searched on this but can't find anything. I have a Three network Galaxy SIII that has been network unlocked and works on my O2 account. The only annoying thing is the Three network logo (in black on a white background) that runs at boot and closedown.
I found this thread that describes how to remove what I take to be a similar logo on a Motorola device but, on looking in the same directory, there is no similar directory. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2445150
Does anyone know where this lives on an SIII and how to remove it. I don't want to flash a custom ROM, just remove the ugly Three bootlogo.
These branded bootanimations are in Samsungs´ QMG format. You´ll need to replace the animations and you´re ready to go
I´ve created a flashable.zip for you with the Stock Samsung Bootanimations inside

Boot Logo if it is the splash screen that has replaced the initial Samsung S splash screen its not changeable .
If its the boot animation after the splash then delete the bootanimation files .
System/ Media / Bootsamsung QHG and Bootsamsungloop QMG .
Boot animation see Themes and apps .
Shutdown is System/ media/ video / shutdown/ shutdown QMG
Yeah 3 UK is just a boot animation. Although, there is other "Three crap" on the ROM too, so I would personally just flash latest unbranded BTU, but that's not to say that this is THE solution. Just A solution
Just flashed these. Big delay I know but that's another story.
Anyway. They all got copied into system/media The shutdown file was the only one that didn't replace an existing file and, sure enough, boot up now shows the Samsung S but shutdown still shows the Three logo. Anyone know where the three shutdown file is located?
Edit: Found it in system/media/videos/shutdown

[Q] Allwinner A33 boot logo change

Hello,
I have a Allwinner A33 tablet with Android 4.4.2 it's 1024x600, and I want to change boot logo (not bootanimation), it displays 2 logos at boot before bootanimation, and I want to change them, how can I do it?
I have found many posts about this but none for A33, I also do not have any boot/ROM for it...
Is there a way that I can backup the device, change the logo and send it back with the same boot but with my logo?
Thanks

Use dragon face to edit firm file
DragonFace
Hi,
Is this still the way to edit firmware files? I have tried DragonFace 2.5 but when I put the image back on the tablet it sits at the boot logo and doesnt go from there. Is there a tutorial on how to edit the logos and customise the preinstalled apps and desktop etc?
Thanks!

I am also facing the same issue. Even if I just save the firmware without making any changes in DragonFace, the device just freezes on the boot logo when flashed with Phoenix Suite.
Am i using the wrong combination of tools (Dragon Face to change the firmware and Phoenix Suite to Flash it)?

[Q] Can I change the boot logo?

Hello
A couple of months ago I decided to install a custom ROM on my device (Alcatel 5015a), I tried with a few of them until i found one that i really liked, the problem was with one of the ROM instalation the Boot Logo changed for an ASUS one (It was an ASUS ROM ported for my device), I thought that flashing a different ROM will change the boot logo, but for my suprise it did not, I started looking for a way to change the boot logo myself, with some changes and I found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953726 I follow the steps, make the "update.zip" file, but when I flash it nothing happen, and the móvil stills shows up the ASUS logo, I dont really know if I am doing something wrong, or if there is any solution, I hope you guys can help.
