I am trying to set up a script with Script Manager which will check if com.facebook.katana is running and disable it, but if it isn't running then it will enable it.
The enable and disable part is easy using pm enable/disable but how do I check what is running?
So it turns Facebook off if it running but runs it if its not running?

Is it possible to install some of the default apps from SGS2 stock on cyanogen?
I'd really like to have the video and photo editor to begin with. I tried them from Tricky's ROM kitchen rom, they're deodexed zipaligned etc but won't install.
Any advice?
Most likely none of them will work as they rely on Samsungs custom framework.

Samsung Apps with Cyanogenmod 7.1
Assuming my SGS I897 is similar enough to the SGS2, here is my experience: After flashing Cyanogenmod 7.1, I tried to restore apps from Samsung using Titanium Backup.
I was happy my son's Krazy Kart Racing still worked, because it was free in the Samsung Apps market but $3.38 in the Android market.
However, when I tried to restore Samsung Apps itself, Titanium Backup went into an infinite loop. An attempt to restore Program Monitor had the same result.
I guess my answer is: some apps will work and some will not.
Has anyone else tried?

Nice app... a bit early to say anything about battery consumption..
The only issues I've run into so far are that the weather maps don't show the correct location... for example, instead of Beaumont TX, it's centered on Louisiana to the east, leaving the Beaumont, TX off the edge of the map and mostly invisible... some of the maps only show north Texas, completely leaving the selected location off the map completely.... they really need to work on making absolutely sure the selected location is centered on the map even if their data source is centered elsewhere.
No local map support till now .

I don't use the widget and manually reduced /turned off syncing like, and I still noted some significant battery drain with the app so I uninstalled it first.

There is now iOS emulator for Blackberry. When the author will open the code it should be posibble to port it to Android...
When I try to install 3rd party apps it does not let me highlight the install button. I can only choose cancel. But when I flash back to 2.5 official I am able too. Can anyone let me know if I all the only one with this issue. I really enjoy the nightly liquid smooth.
