There has to be a good sports app on ics. I cant find anything
Looking for a sports calendar that in can see when all my teams have games and just a general sports score app..
Something that is mad for the tablet
I have been using the ESPN Scorecenter app and it is not optimized for tablets yet. Guess I need to start downloading and testing to see if there is something better.

I use ScoreMobile. Not optimized for a Tablet, but the best one in my opinion.
good thread, but i use scorecenter also. frustrated that it is only vertical orientation, so i only use it on my phone now
edit: looking for a good soccer app (scores and standings) also, any suggestions?
I use sportstap. It has landscape view but not optimized for tablet either. At least it has landscape... lol.

also scoremobile fc looks pretty good, also https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fivemobile.footy&feature=search_result
"Are you watching this" is awesome. The game grid shows all games that are playing for the day and the broadcast channel. All of the sports you select to follow are shown mixed together listed in order of game time. You can also input your cable provider and only show games that you can view in addition to controlling your connected TV via wifi. (Google TV, direct TV, dish TV). Also has the usual alerts, favorite teams, news, auto-follow etc. and is optimized for tablets. I think this is what your looking for.

are you watching this seems pretty cool.. not a traditional score app that i am looking for but a good idea.
a similar app that i used all nfl season was "sport live stream" has an LS on the icon. at any time it gives you all the possible live sports and where to stream it live via flash.

footmob is a great app for soccer.
it allows the app to run horizontally (great since my prime is mostly docked) and shows whom scored and assisted
BETBUD is the absolute best app around if you bet on sports as well. gives you live lines for every game and you can enter picks. it then shows all your pending picks and gives you live score updates with color codes if you are winning or losing. there is a widget for this also. also keeps stats. if you gamble this app is truly amazing.

You can check Sports Rules & News app. It will work on ICS and on any device, be it a Tablet or a Mobile Phone.
You can find the details about this app in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674635
Hope you enjoy and we would like your valuable feedback.

I would suggest you to download the Eurosport app. It can give you live updates and current statistics of your favorite sport.

Hi,
To all Prime owners,
How is the official Facebook app running on Transforme Prime?
Is fully tablet optimized?
Or a bit optimized?
Or not at all?
Please if you can post screenshot of the news feed in landscape mode.
Thanks
PS: I am not interested in Friendly nor FriendCaster.
Facebook is Tablet optimized. It looks just like the iOS version.
Its laggy and choppy for me. I find the desktop version works well on Opera.
Maybe I downloaded the wrong one... but facebook does not look tablet optimized to me. Looks identical to the phone version... but with lots of white space. Is there another version?

There's an app on the market called "friend me" works very well with the prime
it also lets you play flash games on fb haven't tired the flash games since i never play fb games
Ive been using friend me as well, the facebook application is the mobile version, it just looks 'OK' on the transformer, its not a tablet version (check the ipad version out thats how it should be).
Tweetcomb for twitter is best i've found to, very similar to tweetdeck for pc's
There are too many apps that should have a tablet version but don't (tv guide . co . uk for example - great on ipad, crap on honeycomb)

Problem is, Friend Me and Tweetcomb dont have push notifications.
Try Friendcaster or Friendcaster Pro in market. It has notifications. Don't get the Friendcaster Tab beta as it has ended and the features are integrated in the other versions.
I am running Friendcaster Pro and love it.. Works very well!
For 2D or 3D applications (like GTA III for instance), I would like to be able to tell what FPS the game is running at pretty much for benchmarking purposes.
A game called osu!droid can show FPS in the bottom right corner, but this option can be enabled or disabled via it's options:

I would figure Android SDK for Windows to have some sort of way to see this, but I couldn't find anything. If there is a way to display FPS via the SDK (or maybe an app), does anyone know of it?
Hmm, it seems nobody has any feedback or info about this :/
I'm looking for the same thing.
Bump. Very interested in this as well. I have a Nexus 7 and was having lag issues on Beach Buggy Blitz so I rooted rommed and overclocked it and would like to know my frames per second. We need something like Fraps for PC with a simple fps overlay.
Bump.. there has to be "something" available? Do developers just not check FPS of their apps/games? Do they code FPS counters manually and then remove them?
been looking for a way to have an fps overlay in 3D games (like FRAPS for windows) for quite a while now... i bet there'd be a market for a well written commercial app that takes care of this. any takers?
Some games (like Dragon Fly, for example) have this option and its awesome.
I would really like to see something like fraps for android, too bad because games are best for benchmarks after all.

GameBench records your fps and a bunch of other system metrics during a gameplay session! It's useful for identifying bottlenecks on your device.
We'll also have an fps overlay feature pretty soon, so check us out!

Hi,
We just published an app called GameBench about 4 months ago in the play store. It does exactly what you are looking for and even more. Have a look.
Hi All,
I'm looking for a similar app or piece of code where I can get the FPS in any application or even in the home screen. I've seen FPS Meter but it seems to be very inaccurate. Furthermore, I want to be able to log FPS frequently, i.e. every one second and I don't want to see the FPS only on the screen.
Has anyone seen anything similar to what I am looking for?
Thanks,

Just wanted to find a tool that does this, because I managed to install Game Tuner on my Note 4.
Unfortunately the Free tier is way too limiting. I mean I just want a single FPS number readout, that's it.
Benchmarkers would also love to use such a tool, they don't need much else, just record the gameplay, push it on youtube, there. Would be a nice marketing for Game Bench I think. (I know currently you are aiming for developers mostly.)

Yeah - unfortunately we had a lot of medium sized developers abusing our free version, hence the limitation. It is unlimited until the end of this week (start of May) right now though. We've had the tool out there for free for a couple years now, and we actually do offer free access to journalists/reviewers
30 minutes of free recording per month is about 10 solid sessions a month, but we'll adjust it over time depending on how people are using it.
Any other less crappy app?! I just want a FPS overlay, not a crappy app that sucks the life out of my device while charging money for it!

I have a question...
I was looking at the story about "Total Recall" and there was what appeared to be an embedded video (screenshot with a "play" icon superimposed overtop).
When I clicked on the link though, rather than playing it embedded, I got a pop-up requester asking me what app I wanted to use to complete the action (gave me choices of broswers, youtube etc...)
My question is, does it play embedded for anyone else? If so, what do I do to get it to play videos embedded rather than spawning a new app to play it?
Thanks.

it wont play embedded through that app itself. a good option is to get Stickit app. its a floating & resizable media player like overskreen browser. Add by the same people. so then when you click video, just choose the stickit option and a little box will play the video that you can resize. plus you never leave that article page also. when done watching the video just X it out or terminate it.
Fantastic looking app. I agree, we need more apps that take aesthetics into account and use our tablets to their full potential!
I can't get this app to work correctly. Every time I open an article, it shows up with white background and white text making it essentially unreadable. Does anyone else have this problem?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared its cache and data, restarted my TF201...

While reading app reviews someone mentioned to turn off "Force GPU Rendering" which fixed the problem I mentioned.
I'd rather not turn that off though

LOL yeah well, I've turned off GPU rendering; now nVision works and I don't notice anything different about my tablet soooo I guess I didn't really need it
Awesome app to have to show off the ATP's beautiful screen.
Who loves that awesome back ground? I DO!!! Live wallpaper of that would be sick.
For those who haven't noticed the update yet, the app was recently updated so that the white text/invisible text issue that occurred when you had Force 2D GPU Rendering on has been fixed.
If you like to use this app but prefer to keep that option enabled you can now do both.
Lol, suppose I'm looking forward to another update. On this version, the video clip for the white background with black bubbles kind of force closes. Get a pop-up message about the video not being able to be played; app continues to work fine though.

I really wanted to like this app and for the record it works great on my EVO 4G, then I installed it on my tablet and after I open it t puts up an error message saying it wont work well on my device to use my browser. Gorgeous but... I want my helmet back !
I've been waiting for an app with capability for user to edit avatar, heard about Microsoft porting the iOS legendary xbox app to android few months ago, now my dream comes true ! freshly bought a GNex !
It's amazing ! Really nice minimalist UI, Metro's like, new (good) Microsoft's graphic direction.
Just one little thing : Does every accessories (hat, shoes, pants, shirts, etc) has been integrated to the application ? Talk about it since my stromtrooper's helmet I had turns into a new haircut in the app. Tried to change it back to "normal" haircut is ok, but my helmet is missing in the DB ... so, as the post's title says : ...
to sum up, keep up the f**in good job you've all done out there ! But I (we) hope you won't do it like others dying apps, don't forget to update
