My phone force close inmediatly after i turn it on, it seems that heliux launcher is not working as it has to, so i was thinking to flash in CWM zeam launcher, that way before it starts appearing the annoying meassege (heliux is naot working) i will be able to choose betwen zeam launcher adb launcher and heliux which obviusly i won`t choose ever again.
The thing is that i do not know how to create a zip file to flash an app.
If anybody knows how to do this help me please.....
Can you get into clockworkmod? Have you got a nandroid back up?

No need to create flashable launcher I got yesterday the same problem!
Mount your Phone to a pc and using adb shell install the new launcher then go and try to catch the new launcher from choose menu and then it will work! This is what I did...

Hello,
I'm on WB latest rom and installed timescape and everything works fine except infinite view gives fc
Anyway I can remove infinite view so that I can at least have a look at my contacts?
Thanks

if you have TB Pro, it's best to just freeze it
Sent from my X10 TripNMiUI using XDA Premium App
Freeze what? Sorry I didn't get you.
I am unable to open contacts since I get some android system stopped working error. (force close).
kindly let me know how to uninstall infinite view.
Use titanium backup.
If you have the free version you will be able to unistall infinite view with it.
If you have the paid for version you will be able to "freeze" the app. This makes the phone think that infinite view has been uninstalled but keeps the app on your phone.
This is useful because sometimes uninstalling system apps like infinite view can make other apps FC. If this is the case you can use titanium backup and "defrost" the frozen app back to its original state.
Hope this helps
Thanks for both of you
I have freezed it. Its fine but when I try to open a contact, nothing happens.
It seems like infinite view binds with contacts, Anyway I can let my contacts open?
When I touch my contact its supposed to show all the numbers but after freezing, nothing happens
I would try a fresh install.
I know it sounds like a long winded way, but use SEUS to flash back to stock 2.1
Then flash wolfs rom again. (Some people say flashing back to stock 2.1 is a waste of time but it has helped loads of people out before)
I think you know that wolf is releasing TW 007 soon, you could wait for that or flash v006 now.
Let me know how you get on.

Yeah, after freezing Infinite View I cannot open a contact at all (ICS 4.1.B.0.587 on Ray). The standard 'fresh install' advice is not what you want in this case, if I understand you correctly.
Download solid explorer beta2 or any root explorer and delete infinate.apk... Restart go to recovery and wipe cache n dalvik cache n you should be good....

Hey, you can try Root explorer (with root access of course)
Check the following tap and path
just hold pressing infiniteview.apk and check Delete
NOTE: check R/W also active
Hi,
Recently, I accidentally deleted my LG HOME app from my Optimus One (my phone was rooted). But since I was using GO Launcher Pro at the time, it didn't affect the phone functionality.
But then while playing with the phone I factory reset it, and whoosh ! I was left with no launcher screen at all (LG HOME being the default, which I deleted ). I was left with a blank screen, with just the notification bar.
HERE IS HOW I RECOVERED MY PHONE (and not the LG HOME app):
Step 1: Get a launcher app apk from somewhere and copy it to your SD card.
PS: Search on google 'go launcher ex apk' without the quotes. You can also search for ADW launcher or others (see android market).
Step 2: Turn your phone on.
Step 3: Get someone to call on your phone. Pick up the call.
Step 4: During the call tap the 'Add call button'. You will get the dialer pad, with contacts, call logs and favorites tabs as well.
Step 5: Go to contacts and click the menu hardkey to get the menu. Tap 'New Contact'.
Step 6: When you get the new contact form, tap the image with a '+' sign on it (It is used to add a contact image).
Step 7: Now you will get options as to where to get the file. Select OI File Manager.
Step 8: Navigate to the folder in which you copied the Launcher app (Go launcher, ADW Launcher or the like) and install it.
Voila ! You have a new launcher screen now.
PS : I was relieved when I finally got my launcher back. I was on the brink of flashing my phone to the stock KDW, which could've resulted in a bigger mess (Bricking etc.)
NOTE 1: If you factory reset your phone again, you will lose the launcher again, and will be back without a launcher screen. So make sure you don't do so lest you want to repeat Step 1 thru 8 again.
Word of advice: Make sure you have at least one launcher app installed on your phone (no matter which one, it should run).
USERS PLEASE UPDATE THE THREAD WITH OTHER ADVICES FOR THE PROBLEM.

Never thought there could be such a wierd workaround for this.
Thanks for the info though.
The easiest way would be to install another launcher using 'adb install'

Yaa its the simplest thing to do, but I remember op had that problem and no one answered It.

But then you'd need to install all the android SDK and stuff on your PC.
This is just a work around. Of course, one would be in a problem if you don't have OI File Manager too.
Um, or use search button on phone and search for right app or what ever, search button on phone is pretty useful if you brick your rom. :]

Sdk is just easy to install, there's also adbMadeEasy.exe (no sdk required) which you can use.

Looks like you have no file manager installed, use the adb method.
Is my screen too bright, or am I just too ASIAN?!
I did it!!!!!!!
someone posted to use the search button, well, i used the search button to get me to 4shared.com and downloaded launcher pro. when it was done downloading i pulled down the notification thingy and pressed the download complete icon. it then installed launcher pro and everything is fine. thank u guys for all your help, and i hope this info helps someone else out.
Well,I have fastest method than this
Which I used when I do the same thing
Stock rom have default LG home which u deleted that,s why blackscreen comes
So
Just slide that notification bar and turn on internet and from PC go to market download launcher it will be directly download to your phone bcoz of on internet
And you got your launcher back
Or make flashable zip of home launcher and flash it

Hi Christian. Should I install the attached LG Home only if I have installed recovery mode? I still have access to cell phone's mass storage. Can I install it from there even if I haven't installed recovery mode?

Yes you can extract the zip on sd card and you have to put the app in system/app and set the right permissions. You need root for this and a file manager that read internal storage like Es file explorer.
Hope you understanded my explanation

Hello,
Could someone post apk file of most stock launcher of X8. I mean the one which drawer icon is an arrow pointing up and when you press menu kes (leftmost one) vertical, iPhone like menu appears.
Thanks in advande
Flash stock rom, root and use root explorer to get it from system apps
It won't work so don't bother.

I saw that Launcher on SROM (Android 2.2) but I'm not sure that it will work on GingerBread.
The problem is that I don't have a X8. If I have one then I won't be asking
I'm gonna try extracting an apk from the SROM.
Edit:
I got the "App is not installed" problem.
Edit 2:
When installing with adb it says "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES".
Bump, and...
I've succeed in installing the SROM's Launcher2.apk but I'm getting FC every single time I'm trying to run that Home Screen. Anyone know why?
You need to put semc permission files into system folder, try to flash those permissions via xrecovery. With them I've installed original se launcher on 2.3.7 x8, but it doesn't work properly. Also there are some screenshots from fde V2.2.2 (2.3.7android) with stock launcher
thanx
very nice application. Does it works wonder [ROM] LinuXperia ESCHA Arch V1 - V2 - V3 ?
Actually I'm trying to install it on a Samsung Galaxy Ace (CM7.1 with CWM recovery). I'm gonna try to install the premissions manually.
Ed. Files copied and replaced. Still FCs.
@romanalien Could you post a screnshoot of what happens after pressing the menu key?
As I said, the app doesn't work properly, when you're trying to press menu it FC's, I don't know why.
Damn it. It is actually only the menu in the launcher I want.
Hey , today i went back to stock from MiniCm7Pro. I have a few questions:
1. Can i get DSP manager on 2.1?
2. How to get rid of the annoying bar that is up when i slide out my keyboard?
3. Can i get the ICS theme apk to work on 2.1 ?
4. Can i get the status bar buttons ( like wifi etc.) when i slide it down on 2.1?
Sorry for all my questions, its just that i can nothing about app porting and that kind of stuff. All i can is innstall rom/kernel/edit keyboard input to my coutrys standard and that easy stuff xD

1. the dsp manager is a feature unique to cyanogenmod, so dont think you can. However you can always try installing it. DL any rom with dsp manager, view the contents via windows explorer, go to system > app> copy the dspmanager.apk. install it. try normal installation first, if that doesnt work, try the process involving changin the root permissions.
2. err, what bar?
3. the ics theme, in the market, is again for cyanogenmod users. However you CAN dl the complete ICS launcher.
4. i dunno

flashing the clean version of stock ROM of pfonck you can get rid of the status bar and a lot of more things
For tha annoying bar, replace the 'squishinput.apk' in /system/app by the one in pfonck's rom. Then set the right permissions with root explorer (check it b4 replacing), reboot and you are done.
Question: does anyone got flashplayer working on eclair's roms?

Hello all,
i can't unlock Launcher Pro to Plus version. I bought Plus version unlocker in market, but app still locked (also after restart, reboot). Has anyone had the same problem? Thank you.
F.
You probably have some other problem that's showing up with these symptoms.
I use L-Pro on stock 173, and I've used it on the ICS leak (where adding widgets becomes difficult due to no text beside the widget icons).
L-Pro is what I typically use, regardless of the image I'm using.
Did you use TiBU to "freeze" things on your phone? Try thawing those out, one by one, and see if the problem goes away. That's the usual source of "random" problems...
This is because i've pushed launcher pro to install as a system app. Don't use the unlocking program request a key, that it's if the developer still contactable.
Other option, install another launcher, then move lpp to /data reboot and it will function correctly.

Thank you FTS, worked
Moved home.apk from system/app to data/app, then uninstall in market, install again from market and unlocker working now.
