I am not able to watch any video on youtube.
It was working yesterday but today I get a force close everytime I play a video.
I was on Overcome 2.2.0 but I have the same problem after restoring my stock rom. Am I the only one having this problem atm ?

i think it might be something on their end, and not ours... it makes no sense. I didn't go any upgrades of anything, it just broke.

This is when I get really tired of Google.

This just happened to me. Im stock and have never been rooted. I dont think its our tablets, i think its google.

Same problem for me too, we will probably have to wait until there is a update for the YouTube app to fix the issue....arg.

same here ... I think it's a flash problem ... Youtube 2.3.4 apk is a temporary solution ...

the problem is not with our device,it is a known issue to everyone having Youtube app force close just send report to the developer and let him know about this issue

Just been having the same problem, flushed the app cache and davlik etc... And thought i was gonna have to reflash, glad i looked here first.

You tube works again.

Oh thank god its back, I just read the whole flash is dead by Adobe and I figured this maybe part of their ics update to see if YouTube works without flash

All I get is "your client is out of date and will be updated shortly"
Any ideas?
It has been like that for 2 days for me. Hopefully something gets fixed shortly.
It happened to me earlier today. It started working again within minutes (less than five)

yes - it doesn't help ...
Happened to me, I noticed it last night and when I woke up this morning I got a notification saying that my android market was updated...so I will assume that they were both related. And now I am able to get back into the market.

Hello all. I downloaded the Slimbean Rom today and flashed it according to instructions. In reading the OP it said that the camera was combined with the gallery, but I have neither the gallery or the camera.. Any help would be appreciated.

I just reinstalled the slimbean rom and downloaded JB+ camera and i am also all good now....many thanks...
If you don't flash the Gapps that are in the OP, like the OP says you should do, the camera won't be there.
Thank you for all the hard work and the great ROMS you have put together. Figured out the my question and my bad....was using justinbeans. Jumped the gun asking questions...work hard, play hard, and no sleep=epic brain fatigue.

Problems with Netflix

Hello all. I've been using the netflix app for quite some time now and haven't had a single problem... until now. The app loads, I can pick a title, see all of the episodes, and even select titles to play.
However, it stays on the loading screen, and the video won't play. I've tried clearing data, reinstalling the app and even different versions of the app.
I've even reinstalled my ROM, and wiped the caches. Still no video.
Every other app works perfectly, and netflix works fine on both of my other devices (Wii and Windows 8).
Is it just on my phone, or is this a bug in the android app?
Edit: I'm running Nottachtrix 1.3.1, with faux's kernel. I've tried the stock kernel as well.
Edit2: I tried Crackle and it doesn't work either. Perhaps I should do a full wipe?

I am having the same problem you describe with Netflix. Just says loading forever and does not play. I have been streaming Netflix on my rooted (bootloader is NOT unlocked) Gingerbread Atrix 4G successfully for several months. I was recently using version 2.0.1 without problem. I upgraded to the newest version on the Google Play store (2.2.1 I think) but still had the loading forever screen after selecting a video to play. I installed a very old Netflix version 1.7.0 and it appears to work. I might have learned something new from your post. I was under the impression if I unlocked the boot loader and installed another ROM the DRM Netflix keys would be gone FOREVER with no way to get them back. Also thought that with the DRM keys gone, I would not be able to use Netflix and possibly other streaming apps on my Atrix 4G. am I missing something????
The only thing that root kills is the ability to use the google movies app, which is expensive anyway. Everything else is supposed to work. I'll try the 1.7.0 version here in a bit, thanks for the tip!
Edit: It works!!! Thank you so much!

Glad 1.7.0 worked for you
I know rooting does not break Netflix (mine has been rooted for months). I was talking about unlocking the bootloader in my previous post. If anyone is using the newest Netflix version and it works on their factory Gingerbread ROM Atrix 4G/MB860, please post to this thread...
Thanks Much, Ron

yah mine has been dead for 2 days
---------- Post added at 12:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:18 PM ----------
Ok I was able to fix mine. I noticed mine died right after i uninstalled the antivirus and firewall from my phone.
So what I did was do a complete wipe of my phone.
I wiped the cache, and the data.
Reinstalled my rom of choice.
Reinstalled google play
Reinstalled netflix
now it works.
I am now running recovery on my preinstalled apps
Thanks for the info/ Further clarifications needed
Guess that confirms you CAN UNLOCK the bootloader and at least one of the steaming providers (Netflix) still works on the Atrix 4G. Can anyone verify which streaming providers do NOT work after unlocking the bootloader/installing none factory signed ROM images??? (if any) I had read several places on this and other forums that unlocking the bootloader would BREAK Netflix and possibly other things requiring the original hardward protected DRM keys. I had been holding out on unlocking the boot loader because of such nonsense and because I still want the Webtop 2.0 functionality to still work on my Lapdocks/HD Multimedia docks.
Have a Great Day
Regards, Ron

youtube not working since updating to jelly bean

I updated my l9 to the official Indian jelly bean few days back and since then youtube app fails to play any videos over wifi. Wifi and internet otherwise works perfectly fine on the device. Even in the youtube app I can search, look up videos within my subscriptions fine , just can't play anything over wifi. I get the error - "problem while playing touch to retry". Works fine over 3G though.
I have rebooted the phone and wifi modem/router multiple times which didn't help. I also uninstalled all the updates for the youtube app still no help. Reinstalled the youtube updates still same problem
Has anyone else faced similar problem since updating to jelly bean?

I haven't rooted my phone yet. The only reason I am reluctant to contact lg service center because I think they may not consider this as a phone/device problem. But I will try that eventually.
I feel if I could reinstall the youtube app it might help but then I'm not rooted and this app came pre-installed.
is there a way to remove pre-installed apps without rooting?

As I always say, XDA is not for lion-hearted people. Others should not even come here. I am not rough and tough user and take good care of my phone, therefore I dont care about LG's warranty and thats because I am here on XDA.
Even if anything happens to my phone in future, I will take it as bad-luck, but till then my phone will live life to the fullest.
You can update YT, if it shows Update button. Otherwise No, if not rooted.
Same problem here. Literally tried everything. I'm gonna root the phone tomorrow and try removing with Ti Backup and installing separately. Hope that works...

Anyone found a solution? I have literally tried everything from flashing numerous times to contacting LG 5 times, changing WiFi settings, etc.
However, for me YouTube works on ICS and CM10.1. But ICS is too old for me so I'm forced to be on 20A. Roms from other regions don't work too. So hopefully LG will release an update soon or CM gets stable.

Well if the YouTube app isn't working. I quick fix would be to install Adobe flash player and use naked Brower, dolphin Brower or other non stock Brower. And view the page in desktop mode (YouTube.com)
Use this link to get the latest flash player
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848508
I just tried it and it worked fine with naked browser.

youtube is working again over wifi on my p765. I have been using the default router+modem(huwaei) provided by my ISP for last 7 years. Since it was an old model (54mbps, only b/g) I was planning to get a new one and finally I bought and configured the d-link 2750U and youtube started working again.
I still can't figure out what exactly made the difference because the old router was working perfectly fine all these years with various devices including my p765 before the jb update.
Anyways, alls well that ends well

So the router doesn't like jelly bean. We bought this router almost a year back. I think there's an old configuration which ICS and Cm are okay with but not stock jb. Thanks for updating.

So has it been like this from the beginning or it just happened? Have you tried it through a browser? Download flash player and try it that way. I'll try to upload mine when I get a chance.
You might not what to hear this, but try flashing a freshly download 20d, or flash the v21d

[Q] youtube update with errors?

As you can see on the attached screenshot, when in full screen mode, the youtube's last update app won't show the progress bar, same thing happens on a galaxy tab 2 7"
Any help with this?

There's been issues with this on many different phones..... look for a safe apk to install an older version. Or wait for update my friend. I'll check for an older version. Make sure play doesn't auto update though, k?
---------- Post added at 09:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:56 AM ----------
Well its difficult to find a trustworthy apk. But go to apps and uninstall updates. Make sure you have auto update in play off. If your phone came with YouTube it will go back to original version that worked and wait a few days or a weeks and install YouTube again. I'm sure by then they will have fixed this issue.

I've also noticed this same issue. The work around I've discovered is to put the phone back into portrait mode, advance the time, and then place it back into landscape.
