Im from europe so i can only order from ebay. Sice it is quite expencive, do u recommend the tablet?

100 thread views and no reply. sad.
Yes. I recommend it against other tablets I have used- iPad, Galaxy tab 10.1, HP something.
The community on xda for this device is little though.
Honestly, as much as I like this tablet, I cannot recommend it though. I get a crappy wifi signal on it and crashes and I have just a better experience on my galaxy tab.
U mean it crashes to the white screwn with HTC logo? It seems every damn htc is affected... I guess i shall wait for mwc, maby there we shall find an update..

I love mine... great for taking notes, opening word, excel, and PowerPoint files... amazing for drawing with sketchbook pro and Photoshop.
I'm extremely happy with mine. Have experienced none of the issues mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Love note-taking with the Quill app I downloaded from the market, and it's great having access to 4G LTE.
Is the stylus responsive? I mean can i write without it lagging behind?
Sent from derp-mobile
Sure. I'm using mine as a notebook for university.
Yeah I recommend this tablet. Run well, and does everything that I need it to do.
So it seems that this stylus, http://www.atmel.com/microsite/stylus/default.aspx, might be compatible with our tabs, this is based on the fact that the 7.7 includes the touchscreen controllers based on Atmel's maXTouch® E Series. There is a video that shows it working with what looks like a Verizon 10.1 tab. The only thing is that it supposed to only be compatible with Android 4.0. Now my question is, since we are scheduled to have the update soon, will we be able to actually use this stylus? There is no release date of this stylus anywhere, i have contacted their local sales office in the USA and never got a response. Has anyone come across anything related to this new stylus? Any technical people out there have an input if this will actually work? Thanks.

So i sent Amtel a message via their Facebook page:
"Hello, i have a question and i am wondering if you could provide an answer. I own an international Galaxy Tab 7.7 3G+Wifi P6800 from Samsung. I unserstand that the tab includes a maxtouch sensor, not sure which series, and i am wondering if the mxts100 will be compatible with this tab? The tab is scheduled to receive Android 4.0 in the next couple of months and i understand the stylus is compatible with it. Also if you couple please provide a release date and price range. There are many owners that are extremelly interested and hopefull this stylus does work. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon."
Their response:
"Hello, Antonio: Thanks for your interest! We are working with a number of OEMs who are integrating the mxts100 into their designs. These OEMs will announce product information as their products become available in the market."
Very plain if you ask me, not sure what to make of it.

According to this Atmel link (http://ir.atmel.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=610205) the Galaxy Tab 7.7 uses the Atmel maXTouch mXT768E controller (http://www.atmel.com/Microsite/maxtouch_eseries/mxt768e.aspx).
The E-series controllers can accommodate a "2mm thin passive stylus" which brings the new C-Pen from the Galaxy S3 to mind (http://m.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ETC-S10CSEGSTA).

Wondering if the C-Pen could work with the 7.7 now that it has ICS or something else needs to be done (software update?) for it to work, or will a dedicated stylus be release for the tab.

I saw a YouTube video of the C-Pen in use on an S3 and truthfully it was pretty disappointing -- no better than my Jot Pro that I use with an iPad2, which is pretty much an exercise in frustration for "natural" note taking.

Yeah, the "C Pen" is kind of lame, actually. Just a gussied up regular old capacitive stylus with a thin tip.

I actually just called atmel regional sales office in the US, the maxstylus is in beta testing and they are working on supporting our tablets!!! No release date of course, original release was slated for 2012Q1, which has obviously come and gone.... but beta testing means sooner than later! ....unless you're vlc.

I have an Adonit Jot Pro which I am currently using with my 7.7. While the stylus is quite effective, it is unfortunate that most of the note taking apps for android have not implemented the palm rejection. It may not be a problem in smaller devices, but it's kinda hard to jot on a 7.7 without resting on the screen.
So is there any note taking app with palm rejection in android akin to noteshelf for the iPad?
try Jotter... it has great palm rejection, I use it all the time on my note...
Heeler
Jotter is for the galaxy note only. It doesn't support palm rejection in other tablets without s-pen.

Yeah, the flat piece seems like it could interfere with mark making. I draw pretty fast, so I need to know that when contact is made, a mark is being made. It looks like you'd have to be really careful and deliberate with the Adonit stylus.--that and it doesn't have android support strangely enough.

It was released today for beta users and kickstarter donees. Has anyone used it yet or reviewed it? Looks really cool.

I have tried it but it is very laggy because it is beta yes!
But it looks really cool!
Used it for a while this evening. Definitely has some potential. In present state, it's a little laggy and lacking in widgets. Great concept though. Should be very nice in the near future.

Price at launch?
I should have my i-957 in the next few days and will report on how it works on it. I was a bit upset that they didn't release the beta for phone devices, but what can you do?
I'm quite excited to be a part of the community soon! Picking one up to use as my main communications device since i don't use more than 5 or 10 minutes a month. Hook this bad boy up to a bt headset and I'll be golden!

I believe it'll probably be $5 like the kickstarter amount needed to pay for the beta/support.

Im actually connecing through a SIP service and phone out through GVoice. I spent a fair bit of time figuring out which route to go with it.
I have my tablet now, but won't be tinkering with it until tonight.
I'll be setting up the chameleon launcher this evening.
Is it working fine on P7300 ICS ?
Not sure where to put this...but here we go.
As with past devices, including the s2 skyrocket, recent tabs and orig note, I will have the chance to see, touch and play with the Note 2 well before release. Specifically Thursday.
Just as I did with previous devices I wanted to get input on questions to ask etc.
This opportunity has nothing to do with my employment at Sprint. Any information obtained is obtained through relationships prior to and outside of my employment with Sprint.
Rules apply. Basically no pics (i have been known to break this rule)

I see a lot of complaints about the screen. I'm having a hard time believing that it will not look sharper than the current note. I want a good screen comparison please.
Thanks for this:
Battery life
How it compares to our Galaxy Note, displaying a movie side by side
Quadrant and antutu (just for fun)
When does it hit at&t (I know you work for Sprint)
Can I have one now please?

Your leak on the original Note was spot on, so I'm excited to see what you dig up, even if you don't get a chance to take pics. Plus, getting hands on this early is indicative that they're already in production, which looks like Samsung is going to go with a semi-simultaneous global launch like the gs3...good news for my buddy who is converting to android for the Note 2 from his iPhone.

note2 with 5.5 inches looks smaller than note with 5.3!
not sure i really want note2 now but it' skinner so it' easier for the hand to hold?

a buddy wants to trade his note 3 for my g3, is it worth the trade?
Sent from my LGLS990 using XDA Free mobile app
Not to me its not. 2k display. HD audio. Form factor is just beautiful. I don't think I can go back to buttons on side of the phone lol. My last phone was a note 2 it was good but my data always sucked and grew tired of seeing Samsung's colorful cartoon looking icons. Oh yeah Knox.
My next phone is probably gonna be the HTC m9 after or m10 after playing with my wife's m8. That's depending what lg G4 or 5 does. If the rumors are correct about them adding a stylus to directly compete with the note, count me out. There's always nexus.
Sent from my LGLS990 using XDA Free mobile app
I can't see taking a step back being worth it. If you're considering it I'm assuming you're not happy with the g3. If that's the case I don't think you would be any happier with the note 3. I'm a Samsung fan myself and still couldn't see stepping down to note 3. Now the note 4 I would be willing to trade for though. Anyways good luck in your decision.
Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
After much thinking. I've decided not to proceed with the trade. I am happy with the g3. For a split second there some features of the note series caught my eye. I decided that I like the features of lg a bit better than touchwiz. Thanks for both of your opinions.

Coming from a note 2 and now being on the G3 for 3 weeks, I don't miss the features of the note 2. I never used it as intended, I never used the stylus, no need for it and I review documents for a living. People that do use it idk how or why, other than to look cool and show off. I could never comfortably write on it. A 10"+ tab, sure that I could use but the note phone screen never worked well for me that way.
I like the G3, it was a nice change and upgrade from the note 2.
The idea of the stylus is very enticing right now. But not enticing enough for me to make the swap. Realistically, I don't know what I would use it for.

I tried to incorporate it but just never found a real necessary use for the stylus.
I got the note 2 for the bigger screen. At the time it was the only mainstream device over 5" I think. It replaced my tablet and a lot of my laptop uses too. But now I have a device with the same screen size and it's lighter and easier to hold and use. Plus I really don't mind the stock LG skin.
