I just saw the ICS 13 update, but I haven't done it yet. Did anyone else have trouble with speakerphone on ICS 12?
I could talk and hear just fine on my end, but those I was speaking with while using speakphone said it was blairingly loud on their end and they couldn't understand everything that was said. This happened with multiple people and so the problem wasn't on their end.
Thoughts?
I ran into same issue with V12. Upgraded to V13 and updated to kernels ICS_Passion_v13_boot2.zip and ICS_Passion_v13_boot3.zip but no still luck...
Yeah I'm having the same issue.
How does one communicate to the developer of ICS to tell him of our problem?

The only way I've been able to get the new versions working with my speakerphone has been to flash the old v11b5 3.0.8 kernel. GPS doesn't lock as fast, and we don't get the new cool kernel tweaks, but at least everything else works.
A few people have posted this problem on the dev thread but I don't think neo had officially acknowledged the problem yet. If we can only find a script that allows us to adjust the Mic gain I think this can be solved.

I'll like to try out old v11b5 3.0.8 kernel. Where can I get it? Is it ok to flash over Passion V3RC1? Thanks!

The v11b5 3.0.8 kernel is Here. I've flashed it over v12 & v13rc1 with no issues.

Thanks for the link. I tried it but still not working. On order to test this out, you need to have background noise. It looks like the MIC is too sensitive. I went to MIUI for the time being...
Possible Quick Fix
I was having a similar issue. I tried messing around with some settings in "Voodoo Control", part of ICS Passion, and it seems to fix the issue for me.
Launch Voodoo Control > scroll down to Recording Preset > tap it, then choose Original.
Try using your speakerphone again. Hopefully it helps you.

My phone freezes every few minutes or so. I tried glitch v12 on CM7 and it doesn't lag or freeze. So I'm guessing its with miui and glitch. Is their anyway to fix this? V11 glitch works really good but auto rotation doesn't work. I really like glitch and miui. Any suggestions? Much appreciated

Glitch v12 9/22/11
Are you sure you're using THIS Glitch?
If it's not dated 9/22/11, then it's the older version and does not work well.
See my signature below for current config.
I've been using this version of Glitch 3 days with no FC's or freezes, or re-boots (I'm quite pleased as I had similar problems as you mentioned). Now I've introduced some OC and a little UV and it still runs well.

Don't use cleaning scripts, flash the new kernel. The kernel has cleaning scripts built in and using external scripts will cause issues.
Just a heads up, if you ask in our threads, then a developer can actually answer your question, as opposed to the users trying to help you.
Just flashed this and its super fast and buttery smooth. Three bugs so far for me calendar force closes. Disabling calendar sync got rid of that. The market wont download and install any apps already tried wiping data on that but no go. Also no gmail app still working on that. So I just sideloaded TB and installed my user apps and all else is well in my universe im sure a market fix will be out in a day or two.
If you have root explorer gmail is in /data folder I believe. Just move it to /system/app and you're good to go!
Thanks had a hard time finding in so i just sideloaded the gmail.apk and its all good. Any idea how to install the android email application its not in the app drawer anywhere?
I'm liking this ROM a lot, favorite so far. Seems mostly stable for me. I haven't experimented much with Market. Things I've noticed... Browser seems a little laggy, but not too bad. No blue flashing is nice. This seems have the least Sense integration! (Only thing is during phone calls still has the Sense call screen with green android guy). But the ICS dialer is very nice. Liking it so far, recommend it in fact!
Thank you very much Newtoroot
Hmm I assume you would just need to get the .apk and add it to the /system/app directory. As long as the permissions are set correctly you should be good to go.
same issues! getting FC on calendar and can't download from market..
but otherwise i love it!
I couldn't take the bugs so i flashed back to scroslers Cleanrom ics. I hope to reload when the next update comes out.
Newt said he'd be releasing one tomorrow (well later today now technically) with fixes. Looking forward to it for sure.
Bluetooth Music Streaming
I've been using Scott's Senseless ROM for about two weeks now, and I'm actually pretty happy with it. It has a few bugs here and there, but certainly usable as a daily driver. My biggest issue is that it has issues with streaming music over Bluetooth. It will eventually connect sometimes if I continuously turn the bluetooth music streaming off and on, but it's a real pain. This seems to be the same issue in Scott's CleanROM ICS, and in Newtoroot's Ineffabilis-Deus ROM, so I assume it's an issue with the drivers in the leak. Can anyone confirm or deny the Bluetooth music streaming capability of this ROM?

asked the same question in the rom thread... i'm gonna assume that this is still an issue as it has been on all ICS roms. That's the only reason I don't have a 4.0.whateva running on my phone right now... bt streaming is a must have for me, don't know what i'd do without it...

Yea, this is just one of those hoping against all odds things. I'm pretty sure we won't get ICS + streaming bt until there's an official HTC ICS ROM. I just hope that's soon, and I can't imagine it wouldn't be soon, given the quality of the leaked ROMs. I'm checking online daily like I'm waiting on a check in the mail! LOL

Looks like Newts updated the rom guys...not sure if im gonna flash or not currently running Tachi91's De-Sensed ICS 4.0 which has the trebuchet launcher baked in im running great if any of you guys try it let me know if its worth the trouble.
I'm confused about one thing regarding this ROM. Newt says in the features list that this ROM contains and updated kernel, but it says at the end that he doesn't include a boot.img. I thought the boot.img WAS the kernel? No?

Can anyone shed light on this? I think me not understanding how this works is also causing me other problems. I tried to restore a nandroid backup from my original stock ROM, and it won't boot up. All of the ROMs I've flashed thus far have been from scrolser, which automatically reboot to fastboot (or is it HBoot?) and install the kernel. Does this same type of thing have to be done for nandroid restores? Do I need to perform the restore, then go back and flash the kernel separately?

Use the kernel on page 4 of the thread in the dev. forum...otherwise you may end up with some process.acore crashing hell.
Otherwise, it is an awesome ROM...my favorite senseless ICS one so far.
MMS in ICS
I have tried a couple different de-sensed ICS ROMs and they all have MMS issuses. Is there one out there that doesn't? I know beggers cant be choosers but I love Newts ROM I just need MMS.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't really answer my question. If there's a boot.img in the ROM, why do I need to flash another boot.img separately? From some other reading I've done, it looks like the kernel is just part of the boot.img, is that right? I've searched for info on this, but I can't find anything that explains all of this clearly.

Has anyone found a version of DSP manager that works on any of our ICS ROMs yet? I've tried the one pulled from CM9, even flashed it as a system app but that just keeps FCing, and then I tried a couple other versions that're supposed to work, yet they improve nothing. I heard of a few people in some older threads getting it to work on an ICS mod, but when PM'd no one had replied. Any insight or a link to a working apk would be very helpful, thanks! I absolutely love the echo the stage setting of DPS Manager gives, and it's the only thing that's keeping me from moving to ICS.

Currently the kernel/drivers don't support Beats or any other DSP. I'm sure we'll have something soon'ish
here is the Thread that I downloaded the DSP Manager from and it works just fine on my cleanROM ICS

And it actually works. Good find yzbat.!!
Well I can confirm it DOESN'T work on BAMF ICS 0.6
Guess I'm switching to CleanROM lol
Also not seeing any difference on CleanROM 3.1...
Are you doing anything out of the norm? Or by cleanROM did you mean GB...?
I was just wondering what different glitch kernels people were using and what things it is supposedly supposed to fix.
My build 6 was working great and i didn't even need a glitch kernel, i had no problems whatsoever, but i decided to update to 6.5. Now my calendar doesn't work and some other things just don't run as smoothly. I'm not sure why i decided to update...
Anyway will any glitch kernels fix this and if so what are people running. What things are the new kernels supposed to fix
Any links would be appreciated
Thanks
EDIT: Now in my settings under accounts and sync it has an exclamation point by "sync com.android.calendar" and at the bottom it says "syn is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly"

Flash this gapps fixer for your calendar problem. Glitch kernel could be helpful as far as "smoothness" is concerned, you can read about the kernel features on the thread. One nice thing is not having to deal with the call volume issue either.

Aww sweet that is exactly what I was looking for and it worked. I'm not sure why I searched everywhere and I never even heard anyone mention that gapps fixer

I tried using the latest gapps from goo.im/gapps on Munjeni's CM9 rom and was getting boot loops.
I used th gapps-ics-tiny.zip and was able to boot but calendar does not sync. Doesn't even give me the option for calendar under "Accounts and Sync."
Any else having this problem?
Use the Google apps in the Winsuk thread:

Here's hoping the camera and GPS can be worked out soon.

Wallpaper size
I am posting this here because I am not eligible to post on the development site.
I have noticed that all versions of the CM9 ROM have built-in wallpapers that are not properly sized for the Aria. The wallpaper that loads first time it the right size, but once another is loaded, they all appear too big, and you can't go back to the stock ICS wallpaper without reloading the ROM.
Am I missing something?
And please note: I am not complaining. The Aria/CM9 team -- notably WinSuk and Munjeni -- have done a fantastic job and great service for the Aria network.
I decided to give this ICS ROM a try for fun today...after someone mentioned to me that the Captivate and Aria (as old devices) both have ICS.
It seems like it should work fine...for the most part...as an everyday device. As long as you can deal with having no working camera or GPS.
I didn't actually slip my sim card in...since it's not currently my main phone.
Battery?
Hey guys,
Im on winsuks latest cm9. it works great for me except my batter lasts about half the time it lasted with cm7. Does anyone know if munjeni's cm9 is any easier on the battery?
I didn't try WinSuk's ROM yet, I'm running munjeni's ROM as a daily driver. In the build from 27.4., camera and GPS are working; I'm trying now the deodexed built munjeni posted today and see if it works better.

Yes i had the same issue, run "fix permissions" in rom manager, i tried that option in cwm and it did not work. I am back on cm7 because for some reason i wasnt able to receive calls, i was able to make calls, send and receive messages etc...
fix permissions did not help. however I was able to get s2e to work by using superSU from the play store.
Haven't tested out calling/messaging yet
call and messaging send/receiving also seems to work for me.

I got the problem, too. For me the solution was to reinstall the su binary using the update option in the settings menu of superuser.
