The Battery saving tricks.. - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

The following are the METHODS i tried and found battery lasted for around 21-24HRs(Including msging, calls, 3g, Maps)...
1.Use CPU Tuner app.
--> If u hav a rooted phone use this app and be cool it ll take care as the battery runs out means it switches to different profiles as the battery goes down.. It has Many profiles like performance, power save, extreme power save. and governor like full speed, normal and battery save. So choose ur profile manually or leave the app to choose. It also switches the profile when screen OFF saving battery..(Caution: If hav OC kernel,it might use the full OC speed,so keep an eye on it!!!!).
Conclusion: saves battery upto 25%-30%.. Also saves ur time for switching.
2.Use minimal brightness, set backlight off to 30sec or 15 sec if ur not using much.
3.Switch off Auto Sync(Settings->Accounts & Sync->Auto Sync). U can also untick Background Data if ur not using MARKET or any other Google APP which is based on DATA transmission.
4.Settings > Location and security > Use wireless networks- Untick when not using Google Maps.. Also Disable GPS..
5. During Night time switch to airplane mode it saves a lot and lot battery(Some apps are available for this)... i never tried Sleep mode..
5. Most important one!! Turn it off and spend some time with family & friends.. There r more things special than phone

I think this app work the same as setcpu app...setcpu is simple while this app i cant understand it the first time i install it lol...

YES! your item 5 is the *BEST* way to save battery on the phone!!!!
CPU Tuner is better than SetCPU, though I do agree it takes a bit of thought to understand the profiles and virtual governors after using SetCPU

I'm always impressed when I come here. You all get great battery life, don't you? But the truth is that you don't get to use a stable Internet connection for a long period of time.
With a normal usage, always connected via 3g I can get eight hours of battery life. Almost double it if I use wifi.
I could disconnect my data connection from time to time and improve my battery life, but this is not the point of owning a smartphone.
Battery life in Android sucks, my next smartphone will have a 3000 mAh battery or I won't buy it. xDD

The only reasons why 3G and WiFi would create excessive battery drain would be if they weren't particularly strong signals. For example I can only get 2G where I am, but if I could get a stable WiFi it would IMPROVE my battery life, with my phone not constantly hunting for data connections.

No,just calibre one time for all
how can i stop the running applications? because when i holding the home button there is no task manager and after i connect my phone to the internet it runs slowly , how can i stop and how can i view the running apps? is there any application for that?
wanna know why ur battery doesnt last long? cause ur killing apps.. android does that by itself and very efficient u dont need to interfere. DONT use task killer u dont need it and it causes instability and drains battery life even more..cause all the things u kill and android needs to run will be recreated by android ..so in the end u won nothing
And u can find Stock ROMs here
And btw. Battery Calibration just replaces the existing system file of ur battery, so it doesnt do anything directly to ur battery. But because it is important to do that everytime u flashed u should do it..once not more cause it wouldnt make sense as it justs creates a new file.
i hope it doesn't.

Anyway... How is data signal strenght in your region?? When it is slow, the phone keeps loosing and retrieving signal which causes it to be constantly searching for networks and that could be what is draining your battery.
Sorry for my bad english!

I don't use 3G at all on my Ace, I always leave it on Edge or wifi for a little bit and I get a pretty decent battery life. Running Jusada's ICS Final with Slaid's LagFree script. I get about 10-12 hrs depending on my use.
check cynogenmod settings
Please check the Cynogenmod settings > performance settings > cpu settings. Minimum value will be 122 mhz . But the max value will not be set by default. Set that to 806 mhz . And check the battery drain. In my case same issue happened and now it's just ok.

Here are some steps you could use to save battery while you use the Jusada ROM
.Download SetCPU! and underclock your phone to 480Mhz!
.Decrease the brightness!
.Use wifi only while you charge your phone!
.If you are in an area where data connection is not available change ur service provider!
.Decrease your gaming and listening to music (if you do so)
Press thanks if I helped you!

It clearly is a battery calibration issue. Install battery calibration from the android market. Charge to 100% and that's then re-calibrate. That should bring about major changes. My battery went from 4 hours to 9 hours.
Try infiniti and the myth ics rom best for battery backup.and then recalibrate it

Battery threads like these always misleads people since people are trying to brag about their max up-time. It would be better if people included information as setting, rom and daily usage.
On track: My phone usually last around +/-15hours. Data off usually when I don't use it, with below average internet usage, only checking up stuff now and then.
Listen to a lot of music and usually below 100 texts a day. A few calls now and then as well.
I'm using Apocalypse (final) and setCPU(max 844MHz) to enchant it with profiles

What matters the most is screen on time, screen brightness and connection type (2g/3g/wifi/airplane-mode, data on/off). Talk-time matters IF you talk much. Screen and internet on 3g are eating most of your battery.
But in the end everything matters and none of the results are really comparable. So if someone's battery last a little longer then yours, you just don't worry about it. Tomorrow yours might last longer.
Usually 12-14 hours when I am at home (using wifi, using no mobile data, 40% brightness). Usually 6 hours when I am outside (using mobile data, 100% brigthness, sometimes GPS). I have a special pouch for my phone, with pockets for another two batteries. When I am going outside, I have two fully charged batteries with me. 8^) So I can kill green piggies for hours with no fear of no energy. 8^)

Post your battery stats!

Hey guys, please post your battery stats by using app called better battery stats. I have to charge my every 10 hours. My phone was in deep sleep for 6hrs or so. My battery drain average is 10.4%/hour. So, please post your battery stats using better battery stats. btw, I'm using stock gb rom with tagb 1.2 hotfix kernel. My battery drains even in deep sleep mode (I guess, I'm not sure) The person who has best stats may tell us some tips.
PS: please download better battery stats app from xda, as the developer provides free version for xda users, but in market its paid app.

Even if we post our battery stat..
The problem lies in

How old is our phone
ROM and kernel versions
Applications installed
and everything related..

I think this is very decent battery life (using CM9).

Depends on your usage. Of course, powersave would be in the running for best battery life, but it would not be ideal if you are a gamer or heavy user. I personally use a governor not available on any of the GB kernels as far as I know (SmartassH3).
Never liked SetCPU. I use No frills; simple UI, allows you to change governor and I/O scheduler, look at some frequency stats, etc.

SmartassH3 is supposed to be a more battery efficient version of Smartassv2.
I don't think changing your governor will help with sleeping issues. Governors only affect how the CPU ramps up and down. If you have issues with your phone sleeping, then it is most likely one of your apps.
Since you already have BetterBatteryStats, you can easily check partial wakelocks and see if any apps are keeping your phone awake.
I really doubt upgrading the app will change the battery usage of your phone.
If you cared about battery life, being on stock is bad start. Why not use CM7 or CM9?

Just change the rom and Kernel.
You are getting so many bugs and yet you didn't flash new rom.
I recommend that you change roms and see what's best for your phone and your usage.
I'm not sure but the kernel you are using is for gaming I think. ie. More power, less battery.
Anyways here is a battery usage graph :
