Running ICScrewed 2.0.1 and I've been running into a problem over the last few roms I've flashed where my Bluetooth doesn't auto connect.
I have a Jabra Cruzer 2 bluetooth speaker in my car that I've paired with my phone. Tasker is setup to start a menu system when the bluetooth connection is established....but it never happens. I have to go into the BT menu and press on the Jabra device to make it connect. By default it shows "Paired" so I press it and it changes to "Connected".
I know when I had UnNamed previously it was auto connecting everytime I would jump in my car and hit the connect button on the Jabra. It hasn't worked that way since I've gone away from UnNamed. I even tried going back to it and now it doesn't work.
I've checked the Jabra and there's nothing to the settings so I'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with the device.
Does anyone know of a place to tell it auto connect when detected?
Followup question,
I also can't get phone calls to go over the bluetooth device either. Is there special place to look to make sure calls go over bluetooth by default?
Thanks everyone for your responses.
You may have to re pair the device. Did you restore bt pairings when you changed ROMs? That can cause no end to problems, especially when they are different bases.
I have the same Jabra and it connects every time I press the talk/end button on the unit.

I may have somewhere along the line Titaniumed the BT pairing back. But my most recent flash of ICScrewed was preceded by wiping dalvick, clear cache partition, and wipe before installing full. So I'm not sure how anything would have come over unless there was a folder somewhere with bad data.
Is there a folder I should clear out and pair from scratch?

Since two days I got the problem, that I can not activate Bluetooth anymore. On the settings "Wireless & network setting" I press the Bluetooth activation (Turn on Bluethooth). The status changes to "Turning on ... " for about 10 seconds, but doesn't turn on. Before was working fine, I do not remember to have something deleted.
It seems to me, as if Bluetooth is switched off (or disabled) by some application.
Would like to isolate the problem. Any ideas how I can find out.

Do you have anything frozen through titanium backup? Have you installed any apps that use Bluetooth? I had an issue with car home locking my Bluetooth up when I undocked it. Telling Car home to turnoff Bluetooth once disconnected fixed mine. If all else fails and you cant figure it out, I would try flashing back to 1.57 and then OTA update it back to 1.83. Last resort of course so you don't have to set your phone back up, titanium backup can make this process easier.
If nothing works then may be a hardware issue. Best of luck.
Just wait before you get into it, another person may have better advice!

Hi. I installed a Bluetooth Transfer app. This was the reason, why I found out that Bluetooth wasn't working anymore. But I know for sure that Bluethooth was running fine, just a few days ago.
I really would like to find the reason, quite sure there is a software reason, and defenitly do not want to flash back.
I have a weird problem with my SGSII. If i connect my phone to my car bluetooth with the car charger, it stay connected for as long as I am in the car. If however i connect to the car on battery, once the screen turns off I lose bluetooth connect. I have tried changing the screen time and that didn't work, I also tried making my bluetooth visable always and that also didn't work. Can't understand why it only happens while on battery.
Any suggestions?
I have the same issue with bluetooth on my SII.
Whenever the screen is asleep bluetooth devices will not connect, I have to turn the screen on to allow the devices to connect.
I've setup auto pairing in the linkkeys file which works fine if the screen is on (so no prompts to pair devices, just works).
The main device I want to use is a liveview, which I understand has problems, but I've tested other devices and the phone seems to be at fault.
It can't be designed that bluetooth will only connect if your using your phone, kinda defeats the purpose of most bt devices.
tried making my phone always visible, and even tried disabling the lock screens.
using CM7 stable, and a fix would be highly appreciated!
Hmmm.... I don't have that problem.
Maybe some weird power save option?
that's what I was thinking, but I've not been able to find any settings on the phone or through google.
I've just updated to the latest cm7 nightly and the problem seems to be the same. It has an addition bluetooth setting called 'Fast Connections' but this doesn't seem to change anything.
The only other thing I've noticed is that the linkkeys file that I edited to allow the liveview to auto pair (without me having to pull down the notification bar nad authorise it) seems to keep re-editing the file so the phone prompts to pair, so I'm assuming now that's the issue rather than a power thing, so how to prevent that?
Hello Everyone.
A recent problem, no new software, no updates, I've done a search, both here and on the internet, no solution I can find;
zte zmax, z970 metro pcs, 4.4.4 no root
Started a few days ago, when using bluetooth to make a call, the call goes through, bluetooth stays on, but the phone defaults to phone mic and speaker
I know bluetooth is still on as I can still end the call through bluetooth
To get the bluetooth re-engaged while on the call, I have to toggle in the phone applet, bluetooth icon to speaker on, and then back to bluetooth.
I think this started with a google update, but I did go back to the stock app and it didn't solve the problem
When I go into safe mode bluetooth works as it should.
I've uninstalled the only program that accesses bluetooth settings, (which was torque).
It just feels like this is a phone setting and not a glitch, I can hear the phone actually turn off the microphone. I've cleared the cache of all data, and I tried clearing the cache of bluetooth.
Hope someone can steer me in the right direction, thanks in advance
surprised how little support this forum now gives, I see other blue tooth problems without one post in response.
Anyway, I figured if my post was anything like most people with problems, I wouldn't get anyone offering ideas so I did a factory reset.
For anyone else, if you come up with a solution, go ahead and post for other peeps, this is a common problem around the internet but nobody has an answer yet
When I bought this device in October, and once connected to my car it automatically connects to my car from the next time onwards whenever I enable the bluetooth on my phone. It automatically detects my car audio as trusted device.
Till date I have received two updates, the bluetooth after enabling in my device while in my car would not connect automatically. I had to go into settings>bluetooth>view my paired devices>then select my car audio and then it connects.
Do you think this is a bug or I am missing something here? I am still on ...171 firmware.
thanks
There are several things you can try. The easiest is to forget the connection in the M20P Bluetooth menu and then pair your phone again. If that doesn't work you can go into settings/applications. You will need to select the three dot menu then show system processes. Find the two Bluetooth processes and clear the cache and data for both then try repairing your phone with your car. If that doesn't work either you can boot into recovery (I don't remember if you press volume + or - while also holding the power button down but it's one of the two). When you are in recovery select wipe system cache and then reboot your phone.
Wiping the system cache fixed Bluetooth issues I was having a couple times and it doesn't erase your apps and files like a factory reset. Wiping the system cache can also help when you notice wonky phone behavior after an OTA update.
This issue keeps occurring randomly. guess it will be fixed sometime in the future by any new software updates.
I've recently upgraded my ROM on my S2 i9100 phone from the standard 4.1.2 official to various unofficial ROMs. None of these allow me to use the hands-free features of the MKi9200 device. All of them will pair with the Parrot but the phone-book does not sync. Pressing the green button on the Parrot (which should allow you to voice dial) simply gives the message "phonebook is busy please wait".
I have reached out to Parrot without any joy to date even after 8 emails each way. My symptoms to them were along the following lines.
"1. The phone pairs with the MKi9200 still but still does not automatically connect when I get into the car.
2. After pairing the phone, the menu item “Bluetooth/paired phones” is still greyed out. It used to have my phone listed there before I upgraded. I guess that this is why the MKi does not automatically connect.
3. As noted above, I have to manually connect my phone now, whereas before I upgraded the smartphone Android version, it connected automatically. When it does connect, it says it is synchronising for a second or two.
4. I can dial a number using the “Phonebook” on the MKi device using the central knob and the menu system. I cannot use the green button as it always says the “phonebook is busy please wait”, even after 15 minutes.
5. When I finish a call, the iPod music does not restart automatically and I cannot start it manually using the “Play” button. The green play icon appears for a few seconds then goes away. I can play a track/playlist by selecting it from the menu system and the central knob.
6. I can play music from my iPod through the MKi9200 but when I press Pause, the red “pause” icon appears and the MKi “freezes”. I have to reboot the MKi to get it to work again.
7. I have tried various options for pairing the phone such as “force AT sync” but none have worked yet."
Any clues from anyone would be very welcome. I've had the Parrot for nearly 10 years and love it. I know it still o=works as I can pair an old phone (with my SIM card in it) and it works flawlessly. There is clearly something about unofficial ROMs that it doesn't like.
For info, I have always installed Micro GAPS or lower and have tried disabling bluetooth scanning and the software "Bluetooth File Transfer (Android)" by Medieval (versions 5.2 and the latest).
Parrot say the MKi9200 is not compatible with Android 8 but I have tried various other ROMs below that with no success.
Apologies if this post is in the wrong place but it seems to be an unofficial ROM thing to me. I feel there is something in these ROMs which is not compatible with my Parrot and was hoping someone would know what that was.
