[Q] XXLSJ apps port to aosp/cm/aokp?

well when i always scroll through theme/apps i saw a lot of ported apps (multiwindow and stuff) for XXLSJ
But i wonder is it possible that these apps could be ported to cm/aokp/aosp??
It might sound unique, but this wasn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this. In fact, back in February the CyanogenMod team were considering adding a similar service called “Cornerstone” until Google threatened consequences for implementing this service on devices that Google supported.
What Cornerstone and Samsung Multi-Window share is the ability to truly multitask in a windowed environment. While Cornerstone is certainly more robust than Multi-Window, allowing you to create multiple panes and even retain access to the home screen, the effect that the services have on apps is fairly similar. The apps are forced into nonstandard views, which could potentially cause a poor experience.
When the Android team, specifically software engineer Dianne Hackborn, saw plans to implement Cornerstone into the next version of CyanogenMod it became abundantly clear that there were those at Google who did not want this to happen. Hackborn’s comments regarding the announcement began as a plea not to implement a potentially disruptive system and ended with direct threats, complete with consequences should the team move forward with Cornerstone.

tun.ko in CleanROM Inheritance Xenogenesis 4.6.1

Anyone know if tun.ko module is included in CleanROM Inheritance Xenogenesis 4.6.1?
Anyone? I'd like to know if I'm going to have problems establishing a bridged mode/TAP VPN connection if I flash this rom. Thanks!
Has TAP support for VPN completely been dropped from Jellybean? If so, does anyone know why? It seems like there are certain advantages to running in bridge mode that many users of Android devices might want to take advantage of...

Airdrop for iphone

Are there currently any apps for android that give you the airdrop experience?
This would help me to
That will probably be something that will be more than likely developed by AOSP as part of the new OS, rather than an app developed by a third party.

[Q] Create a plugin for established Google app

Howdy Xda guys,
After many a year from Windows mobile to Android, I'm now dipping my toes into the dev-sphere.
I'm just wondering, does anyone have any experience developing useful plugins for any of Google's apps? What are their restrictions if any? If the API is freely available am I able to create and then sell the plugin? I'd be keen to hear from people with knowledge, insight and experience in this area.
Many thanks,
Sam

AOSP apps

Hi!
I was wondering whats the status of the AOSP apps now that most of them are replaced by Googles own suite of apps?
Are they completely abandoned, or do they get just updates on new Android versions to make use of the new APIs that come with it?
I've read in a lot of articles that Google stopped all development of AOSP apps because they are focusing on their own apps, but that opens up another question:
If its so, how come nobody from the dev community is doing any work on AOSP apps and submiting those changes back to AOSP?
Does Google forbid or decline commits to AOSP apps?
Im wondering because it doesnt make sense that some custom ROMs develop their own AOSP app replacements instead of submiting improvement changes to the AOSP directly.
