Anybody know what's up with SiriusXM getting out a new app we can use on the TFP?
You can access the normal flash player to sign in and listen, but if you switch to another tab or app in your browser (ICS+) SiriusXM stops playing.
Does anybody know a workaround until they decide to bring out a new app?

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to this or had an alternative they use?
Someones I am surfing in Dolphin HD and I might be watching a youtube clip or an ESPN3 event and I open a new surfing tab, the prior tab gets paused to, I assume, allocate resources towards the task being completed. Is there a way to have both simultanesouly exist?
Or alternatively, I would love to be able to stream some media while doing other productive things on the tablet instead of staring at the related screen.

I think for Android, it depends on the App. An App can choose to be able to run in the background, for example, music players can run in the background while you browse.
If the App does not do this, it can be paused by the OS whenever it pleases, once it is not the UI app (app in front). The App does control what happens on pause and restore so that it can return you back to the same state when restored.
I would think that video apps would pause themselves if they are not in front which is probably what you are seeing. However an audio ESPN stream might be able to play in the background.
You might have better luck if you ask this in the Q&A section.
Hi Guys,
I am looking for an app which allows me to control music player on another phone. Like, the app can be installed on both the devices and by using bluetooth i can play, pause, skip to next songs on the other phone from my phone..Is there any apps available?
You could try looking into DLNA/UPnP, but as far as I know, phones can't be seen as renderers (the device playing the music by itself), only as servers or controllers.
PS: I've been trying to achieve something similar with an E52, but with no luck.
you can search some apps on ubuntu OS,I remember that there is an open source app can do that on a PC,not a phone, may be you can re-plant it.
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions on this.
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and a Galaxy S3
I play music with Google Play Music on my tab, and I want to be able to control it (change track, playlists, etc) from my phone.
Both Android, both Samsung, same application. Surely there must be something out there that can do this.
Essentially I want to use my phone as a remote control.
Ive looked, and I cant find anything, short of installing an ugly VNC connection on the tab.
If not, has anyone ever considered looking into it?
Thanks
Howie
I don't think Play Music supports remote device controlling yet, as far as I know. This would have to be built into the app in much the same way TV pairing is built into the Youtube app and not the device itself. Or so I think, but I could be wrong.

there is a great remote app for grooveshark that does this. I have not found anything for play music yet.
Hey guys,
I've got a HTC One and the other day I was trying to stream from BandCamp without any success. I tried the stock HTC Browser, Chrome and Boat Browser – which all failed.
There used to be a few apps to cater for BandCamp streaming (CampScout and Bandroid), but they have been removed from the Play Store.
Just wondering if anyone is able to successfully and reliably stream from BandCamp, and which brower they use to do so.
Thanks for any help.
Can someone please at least test bandcamp streaming on their phone and see if it works or not?
So amazing app i love it
Hi All,
And my apologies if this is the incorrect forum for this.
I have a minix and one of the main things I wanted this for was to use the livestream.com app to watch the rugby league whilst I live overseas. Just to be clear this is a legal stream and official app available in the play store.
When I load the app onto my box it all loads fine and I can get to the channels, when I then click on a stream to watch, it just loads a still and the spinning loading icon just sits there. livestream have not offered any help for this or any reasons why. So I am kind of on my own trying to troubleshoot this desperately.
Interestingly if I view the streams through the android browser it works fine, but if I use Chrome I get the same issue as the stream tries to open in MX player and just spins.
Just wondering if any of you smart cookies can help me try to figure this out and get some kind of workaround?
Cheers
Dan
