Should I use the supercharger scripts on Ics passion - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed v6 supercharger and haven't noticed much of a difference. However I'm not sure I installed it correctly. Any advice on how to make Ics passion on my vibrant faster. Btw oc'ing seems to fail for me on Ics

It should help with memory management but you have to change services.jar for supercharger to fully work. Full tutorial on supercharger thread.
CPU are different some phones don't like oc. Changing arm and interbal voltages may help.

your right it did help ... it wasn't until I went from ics passion 13rc1 to ics euphoria rc1 that I noticed how much it did help

You guys got supercharger v6 working for euphoria?
I supercharged 2.2 roms before with no problems, but all these extra steps for ICS is way over my head. I really want to get it working, but I know I'll mess something up.

Just supercharge as normal and you end up with 50%. You don't have to do the jars mod but you won't have hard to kill launcher but can bulletproof

whats the difference between hard to kill and bulletproof?
would it be worthwhile to actually do every step or is 50% good enough?

no you should be fine, and it will support it
I'm not sure if the 11.1 glitch kernel will work or not, but I'll test it anyway.
EDIT: Maybe it's just placebo, but I seem to be having occasional lag now that I've flashed this tweak.
EDIT2: Actually, forget my above comment, things seem to be working fine. I don't see much of an improvement, but then again, my phone was already running super smooth.
Runs.
Better or worse who knows, I cant tell.
To me its about the same speed but the data seems more stable.

[Q] whats V6 SuperCharger?

i have seen this name some where in xda,i dont understand its use
can you explain what it is and for what it is used for?
Improves phone's RAM.
You can set it to have more or less free RAM, so you can run apps, that need much RAM(games) or have more apps open at one time(multitasking) or just improve phone's speed.
It changes the minfree amounts, that is when Android starts killing apps to free up RAM.
how can i do it in my xm? can you help me

This is the topic to V6 Supercharger, look in the post, there is guide for Script Manager and Terminal Emulator, both ways can be used.
Make sure your phone is rooted, else it will not work.

You can't check it actually. You can just see the difference in phone smoothness and speed.

Motoblur Speed

There is a way to increase speed and smoothness quality to Motoblur? Because i liked TouchWiz Launcher fastest and smooth, but it cant set Motoblur and another Widgets.
Thanks.

Steel Droid v11 & V6 supercharger

Hello all,
As the subject reads I am running Steel Droid v11 and V6 Supercharger. My question is will using compcache settings with supercharger help me or hurt me? If it helps, what would be the optimal setting?
Side note, props to the Steel Droid dev, as well as zeplinrox for bringing us the V6 Supercharger script!!

You shouldn't use Compcache with the V6 supercharger because it interferes with the way V6 allocates memory as well as low level memory groupings. If you want some tips for improving the performance on your Droid let me know .

You are the man! Thank you so much!! I've got the Droid 1 and have been scouraging through this forum, looking for what I thought was the best. Being new the forums in general its tough to know what is already outdated, even if its only been a few months since the post.
Tell me what you think of this, I am running Steel Droid v11 with the V6, using the kernal that came with v11. As of today I'm 100% supercharged with my launcher at Bulletproof! It actually seems to be running pretty smooth, a few FC's once in a while but running the emissions script fixes those until reboot. Is that the latest and greatest as of now? I know that not a whole lot is happening on the Droid 1 so I want to have the best I can.
Thanks!

That's similar what I used to run when my Droid was my main phone except I used Cyanogenmod 7.2 (http://get.cm/get/jenkins/2861/cm-7.2.0-sholes.zip), Primes Deprimed Kernel (http://bit.ly/deprimed_test), and these build.prop tweaks (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808791).

I don't know if you're still around, but I have CM7.2 and the deprimed kernel. Basically I'm replicating what you had on your OG Droid. I'm having problems finding some of the build.prop tweaks. I'm using root explorer, build.prop editor, and I've installed busybox. I can't find some of the tweaks. Do I need to add them, or do anything else to find/add them?

Hey I'm still around I will be playing with my Droid 1 forever, good droids never die ! Getting to your question which build.prop tweaks are you having trouble finding and can't seem to locate? For the build.prop tweaks you either edit an already existing value for example if you wanted to change the Dalvik Virtual Machine heap size from 32 MB to 48 you would change the "dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m" property to "dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m", and so on with the other build.prop variables you want to change. If there are build.prop variables you want to add that aren't included add them to the end of the build.prop after leaving a blank line then the build.prop variables you want to add. Let me know if you have any more questions .

[Q] V6 SuperCharger recommended config

I've installed V6 SuperCharger from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126940
but what I was looking for is some advice about which configuration of this tweak do you recommend for Neo V. I actually have Ultimate HD rom and stock kernel cause my I have locked bootloader. Any suggestion?

I haven't used supercharger in quite a while, but I remember High LMK values did well for me.
I think it was option 6(100MB) if I'm not mistaken. Especially if you use ram intensive applications and games.
