Hi! I'm a new member of this site but i've already read some of the threads in the forum's section.
I've some problems with my htc touch diamond 2.
I installed android Froyo 2.2 as i've read in one of the post but after a short period, it doesn't work at all. It appears an advice which says " android. process doesn't work". On my htc there is also windows mobile 6.5
What do you suggest me?

Check for custom ROM information and recovery images in Hero Android Development sub-forum here. Newbies questions can generally be placed in here. But read some of the content in all the Hero sub-forums to get a feel for what questions are being asked in each forum and go from there. Most likely, your question has already been asked before so search the forums before you ask to avoid getting a sharp reply.

Hello guys !
Sorry for disturbing you. I'm a beginner in the gsm world and i want to know 3 things :
1) Which android 2.2 rom is the best and stable rom (a link for download please) ?
2) Can you tell me step by step how can I install this rom on my htc hero ? Is new and i just install 2,1 .
3) Htc will develop android 2,2 for htc hero ? Desire allready has android 2.2.
Thank you very much.
First of all you need to understand this :- [Guide] Complete Newbie Guide to Root & Install a Custom Rom
later for ROM I would suggest you to try one of them :-
]Android 2.2 Froyo (Fusion!ROM 2.2 Or
FroydVillain 1.5.0
& Last thing Don't post in Development section .. Hope it Helps
Moved to Q&A as not development. I would normally close such a thread as well, as there is no best ROM. It's what works best for you. Take a look at what's available, see what ROM looks like it's supported to suit you, look at known issues etc, and then give it a go. Try a few and use what suits.
If you're on 2.1 and can't get the androot method (linked above) to work, try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726118
After i follow the Root&Recovery step i press the home&power button and after that a window with htc hero and a red "!" appear. What can i do to install froyo ?
Sorry for distrubing...
i get exactly the same problem only way to get out of it is to pull battery please help
Use the last link btdag posted.
Hey guys I have just come from a HTC imagio which is a windows mobile device with no option of having android, Although recently I bought a HTC HD2 which does have the option to put android on it.
Now my question to you is WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE between Nand and SD card rooting? ( I think that's the right terminology).
And are there relitivly simple ways of roming android onto my device other than rooting like with the imagio all I had to do was Hardspl then rom?
Just some info about what i'm getting my head into would be nice.
If this breaks any forum rules just delete it Mr Moderator.

So many question ???? It's quite often for a newb. The answer is right here. Just go to the thread below.

My grandson just gave me an unlocked HTC HD2 device with Desire 2.2 android already installed on the nand and don't know how to move on with this device as it is my very first android/windows mobile device.
After much searching I came across this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089768 which seemed to be similar to mine and after reading the very helpful post in the first reply I am stuck on what to do.
I basically want to upgrade to the newest software available for the HTC HD2 and has everything or most function working. If possible I want to wipe everything to brand new and start afresh with something new. Can someone please give me a nod in the right direction as to where to start as this already has desire android on it and it is confusing? I will really appreciate the help I can get. Sorry if I sound very noobish. Thanks in advance
someone please help me with this is almost buried on page 5
