So I dl free xda app from market...sign in...go to forums...click on any of the threads...FC!!! Every time! I even UN and RE install app. Anyone else?
No biggie really cuz screen is big enough to view browser version but....you know....why don't it work yo?

There have already been a few threads about this issue. Solution..pay a measly sum for the premium ap.
I started a thread about the same issue then i decided to pay the 1.50 for the premium app and it was a smart choice would have done it sooner if i had the chance you wont be dissappointed

I'll say that some of the best apps I have, I paid for. Especially titanium backup pro....wow. That one pays for itself with the time it saves me during restores on flashing roms with my infuse.
OK so I'll buy it. I can't believe the free one wouldn't work though. Strange.

Not trying to be a buzzkill for people who bought the XDA app or anything but I'd highly recommend getting the Tapatalk app instead, which is basically the same app but without the XDA "skin". It's also more regularly updated and you can use it to access other forums. The development for the XDA app seems to have pretty much stopped.

I did consider the Taptalk app but i thought buying the XDA app was more appropriate as i was donating towards the good of the XDA community.It`s the lifeblood of us Android fanatics.

I bought the XDA app for that reason, but I use the Tapatalk app. Had I realized that the XDA app wasn't going to be updated frequently for bug fixes I wouldn't have bought it. Supporting XDA is one thing (I have an 'I supported star' for example) but buying an app and having it not work is something else, which is why I personally recommend people buy the tapatalk app. It works, gets updates for bug fixes, and handles most of the forums out there, not just XDA.

And that is why you drive the short bus. J/K. I had the same issue, took me like a week to find "simple" view. Even sent tapatalk a nasty email that they NEVER replied to about it. So, I'm excited the app FINALLY supports thanks, but I will leave my low-star rating on the market since tapatalk most likely still has its head stuffed securely up its own ass. Even a busted clock is right twice a day.

I see that other people are posting from their NTs ... is there a trick to getting the xda app to work? I can sign in, but whenever I attempt to open a thread, it force-closes. I've cleared data and un/reinstalled, and still have this problem.

Try the Forum Runner app as well... it is definitely faster and better than XDA App..
Premium works flawlessly but if you dont want to buy it, I don't think you will be willing to buy tapatalk premium :|

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
Is anyone else getting an expired time warning? Maybe some with a P-7500 cpuld be so kind to check samsung appstore for an update and post the apk here ? The normal (non HD) version on getjar had same problem. Fixed it with an update.
The one I had from getjar said it had expired this morning. It actually made me very happy. I found that XDA Premium HD app is in the market just released today and on sell 50% off. It's been running great! There are many differences as to where and how to do things so it's taking a bit to get used to and find where to do what I want when it's in a different place, but so far I've found everything and more! It's great to know I'm supporting XDA again also. Even though it so little money.
I don't know why the other said it expired, but thank goodness it did.

If you hit the back key you can get rid of the expired message. I also decided to purchase XDA premium HD! on sale for 99ยข and I am proud to say my very first market purchase, after 2.5 years of Android!
Awesome app compared to tapatalk HD, and loving that I got to support XDA in the process.
First post from my new app as well, come on guys for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a cup of coffee support xda!
I know boosting paid apps is prob against some xda forum rule, but this is for xda's own appp........and it's awesome.

Sure there is... its called supporting xda with by getting one of the paid versions.
Really though I suggest the HD version highly and for only 99 cents right now for no nag screens and a free ICS upgrade when it comes out. Couldn't be more worth it.

So, anyone else notice that you might as well not bother trying to look at pictures through our "HD" app? Look like blown-up thumbnails, low resolutions stretched out.
Couldn't really find anywhere that this has been discussed, but I'm kind of jaded I bought yet another XDA app and have the same terrible viewing quality for pictures. The UI is nice, but i don't see how that alone qualifies "HD."

If I'm remembering correctly, is the reason there isn't a Tapatalk HD app is because it's some sort of bull**** Samsung-exclusive only app? One not even available in America?
It astounds me that there aren't more forum apps given the proclivity of the "average Android user" to be a bit more tech inclined and likely to regularly visit a forum.

I use this probably more than any other app. I also have the terrible looking photos. Also get the force close when ever I jump out of this app to do something and then come back. This one force-closing basically kills multi-tasking as this app just can't handle it. That is more frustrating/disappointing to me than the picture quality. Oh well, I still use this app constantly as I have to have my XDA fix

Yeah, I just wanted to support XDA, and since I bought it I make sure to use it I use Tapatalk with other supported forums, but XDA and Rootzwiki are my usual places and Rootzwiki isn't Tapatalk. So, ya know.
And since I posted this thread, the quality has improved greatly on most images viewed through the app. Every now and then I'll open up a thumbnail to an extremely over-pixelated image, but at this point I'm chopping that up to the image's host because it's become pretty rare.
Now if only clicking people's names/avatars would bring up their profiles

Really? Every Tapatalk client I've tried with it just ends up pulling up a blank page after logging in..
And as soon as I try it for the umpteenth time after saying that, it works.

First off warez isn't allowed on this Site and I believe that is the apk for XDA Premium (unless improperly named). Especially when it's the sites own app
Second: all the xda premium app is, is Tapatalk 2 with XDA branding. No differences so XDA didn't listen to its users, the developers behind Tapatalk did.
Third I just want to clarify that im not bashing xda on the above. I myself bought xda premium to support the Site even though I use Tapatalk.
