So yeah guys, i downloaded Rom toolbox app on my xperia x10 a year ago and changed my fonts. i have no idea how to change the fonts back to normal, because im tired of my native language fonts not showing up...
If you didn't make a backup when you first installed it you may have to do a factory data reset, but maybe someone else will know another way or have the ttf for the original fonts.

The fonts folder is in framework-res.apk. you just have to change those

Just an quick advise... Just in case, do not play with the frame without knowing how. If you know how to play with it without breaking the phone, then go ahead.

ahh, i don't know how... anyways, is there any way of saving my messages phone book and everything before resetting my phone and then have it all back there after reseted?
Do You have Your current ROM file anywhere? I could make the framework-res.apk flashable so You wouldn't have to format everything, only the font would change.
Or if You don't have the ROM file just copy the current framework-res.apk and send it to me, I'll fix the font

The font in framework looks good. The problem may be in system/fonts Try to flash this file. And please make a screenshot of the damaged font and on which ROM are you?

Finally - first post after just reading the forum, and for good start it's kind of how to questions.
So, as mentioned in the topic I need to restore standard TW Launcher on my device, at the moment it is broken thanks to my noobish operations. I tried to replace TW with the modded TW4.5.
TW4.5 doesn't work on my gs2 and to install it I just deleted the stock one. I made a copy of standard apk, but nothing happend when I copy it back into system/app directory. It also won't to be installed.
Now I use GO Launcher and I'm happy with it but the thought that standard one doesn't work make feel strange.
Please help
I had the same issue last night but got TW4.5 working fine in the end. However i did end up going back to the original anyway (some widget bugs that i probably could have sorted but couldnt be bothered -.-').
The way i got my original TW back was as follows:
1) Put the original touchwiz30.apk file and the .odex file back into /system/app.
2) Delete the Touchwiz4.apk
3) Try install the old launcher only to be told "Application not installed".
4) Reboot the phone and it should let you use the normal launcher again, use Home Switcher if youve set the other as default.

Problem's solved, I made silly mistake - I didn't recognize that the root uninstaller app did add the '2.3.3' phrase between file name and file extension.
U helped a lot by posting the correct file name.

Srry for lag, havent seen it. I'll upload it tommorow from work or if u need it earlier I suggest to download a rom based on stock one and you will find it (there's stock tw in villain rom for sure).

I dont think the choice of distro makes a difference as long you have the necessary libs and dependencies for building Not sure though so someone with better experience ought to answer this first
And did you set the right permissions for the fonts ? That might have caused the issue

the thing with fonts was i was just renaming it and not the metadata........ and now i have changed metadata with font editor and voila its working.....
Ok Im confused a bit right now What does the metadata have to do with the font here ?
I also exactly don't know but the metadata are linked with some files which are needed to display fonts which has to be same as the default fonts...... like the highlighted text in the image attached..... these have to be same for the fonts u need to install with the default fonts......
(IF SOMEBODY COULD EXPLAIN IN DETAIL THEN PLZ EXPLAIN!!!)

Did a google search and I found out the reason is that ICS checks to make sure the metadata is correct. So the roboto part isnt necessary I belive. You just need to make sure all the fonts have same Family name and that the correct setting is given regarding bold, italic etc

Never Mind... Found a solution, copy the text file from the Roboto Flashable Zip into /system/fonts.
This isn't a way to ask help so you won't have any.
What in the world?

Hi guys I've been trying to "merge" 2 cm themes together (basically I want the dialer and contacts from one to another) do you guys think you could help me out?
I've tried changing from apk to zip and look around but got a little stuck...
I know this is more of a "Theme" section post but it is also a question if the mods want they can move/delete this thread from this section

Yes just change the stuff, what is their to ask? everything is self explanatory ain't it?
. Xml files are the layout configuration , icons and all other image files in the png format, just be careful about the resolution, fonts possibly in the assets folder and finally after rezipping you have to resign the apk.
Edit :I am currently not using cm but I can fish up CM9 apks. Anyway state your main problem, I won't be available for 7 days after some hours and even now is feeling sleepy, will help if I can.

I've already read on how to do this but my laptop doesn't work when I try to recompile, I move the app to phone with correct permissions and the phone bootloops.
I want to mod the battery icons with ones I found on a thread on xda

Hi, are you still having problems with this? I'm more than happy to help...although changing battery icons could be a challenge. It's not as easy as it used to be..

Which tool are you using to decompile/recompile, and did you try signing the apk after modifying files?
