the music players i have installed are ubermusic, zplayer, google music (cloud player), and realplayer.
the one that i really use is Realplayer. Though it's not as pretty, it works really well. problems i had with ubermusic was that though it looked nice it made popping noises through the headphones when there was no music playing. zplayer sometimes force closes. Google music worked well though i don't play much through the cloud cause mostly i don't have wifi.
UPDATE: Realplayer has been skipping songs in the middle while playing and mashing all songs together... don't really know why. anyone else know?
I use meridian. Nice interface. It plays music, videos, and audio books.

I use Winamp. It syncs over wifi with my desktop. Winamp Pro is even better.
I would also recommend you Google music player, because of its cloud supports. all those songs i listen are genuine
cm9 music player is pretty good
I've been using Mortplayer lately.

There is many ways to get a nice equalizer on your android phone but when listen to music often you want a god bass to make tha music experience more deeper.
Now i wonder how do you set up your phone music ?
Do you use bass , what equalize mode is the best ?
Why?
Or do you use your custom setting and what app do you use to gain the music as you want?

default music app + MusicFX (free from market)
almost 1/2 on Bass boost for earphones
1/4th for 3D effect
and
equalizer as Hip-hop for usual songs & Heavy metal for rock/guitar solos kinda songs..
i use stock music app or uber's music... with DSP manager (Bass Boost-Moderate,Equalizer-Rock,Virtualization-Room)
& with the in-ear earphones that came with my o1.

Is it default CM9 eq or ics one or wat f**cking app???
I was using poweramp than closed my other account and lost the paid version key, so now I use default player with volume+, I'm on oxygen rom so I can't use dsp manager and I never really liked dsp manager, probably because I never tinkered with it, also cloudskipper is also a good music player

I received a gmail with a .mov attachment. Is there is any way to play it on my completely stock note2? I did some searching and MX Player was suggested. I downloaded it, but still get the same message when I click on the attachment stating that I don't have an app to open .mov.
Thanks.
MX player should play it. I've had issues in the past with mx where it wouldn't play something after an update. An uninstall and reinstall did the trick. Of that doesn't work, search xda for vlc media player. I used that on my evo 3d. Not sure if there's a version that works on the note 2 but it's worth a try.

I think I just figured out the problem. Before, I had download mx player, but had not opened it up, assuming that android would find the app. This time, I first opened mx, and then touched the attachment and it worked fine.
Thank you for the response.

I use Player Pro+Simple-Last.fm-scrobbler as my media player and have never used any stock player. I've never bought music tracks on Google.
However, I've just noticed that Android Market suggested me one of my favourite songs. Just curious, how did it collect such information? As far as I know, it can't access last.fm data.

creepy.. google is watching us!

Besides the jokes, useful posts would be appreciated.
Google predicts your music taste by referencing the music stored on your phone and previous music purchases... Read the Legal Agreement on Google Play... You give Google permission to analyse content stored on the device...
What surprised me is that I'm actually a frequent Esperanza Spalding listener, so it would be nice to know if it randomly suggests tracks whose artists are already stored on the device, or if it checks how often those songs are listened to (AKA how many times the files are opened) and only suggests tracks from the user's favourite artists.
I'm gonna have a look to the Legal Agreement.

That would make sense, even though I wouldn't like it.
Thanks
I downloaded MirrorEnabler.apk here in XDA and installed it and seems it is not compatible to our rooted HAM2, anyone able to make it work, share the L.
In the meantime I found a way to cast any video to Chromecast from our HAM2's browser.
First we need to download 2 apps (both are free):
-Firefox
-vCast
Now using the Firefox browser look for any video flash or mp4 as long at it plays on the Firefox browser it can be cast to Chromecast:
Like this one:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then play the video:
Then while video is playing, touch and hold the video:
After that this menu will pop up and touch the one I pointed:
Before choosing vCast make sure your TV is on and is on the Chromecast :
let the video plays a bit on vCast then you can exit or pause the video that is playing on your Firefox browser, remember we played it a while ago. After that when the video is on your chromecast you can turn off firefox or exit it.
For some reason sometimes I tried exiting vCast it still plays on the chromecast, some times it doesn't.
By the way make sure you go to settings>power saving>protected apps>put a shade on the circle beside the vCast app.
I am still testing this so if you found a bug let me know so I can edit the guide.

Hey people familiar with Windows Phone
Yes, that's right. In 2018, when WP and W10M are basically dead, I am publishing The Music Player Windows Phone Deserved, after Microsoft failed to use the Metro (Modern) design language's potential to give us a decent music player.
Any decent music player on the Store is either not that decent or not free.
I've been working on this project for 2 years now. I've dedicated a lot of time to get things right, and to finally address what I didn't like about other music players both on Windows Phone and Android/iOS.

The app is released in beta, and I'm posting to technical forums so people interested can help me with the beta version.
I'm hoping I can bring the pleasure of music listening to those of us who appreciated Metro (Modern) but didn't get what both they and the platform deserved in terms of elegance in music apps.
You can check out the app and get it from www[dot]rhythmapp[dot]audio. (I'm not allowed to make hyperlinks here yet apparently)
Please do send feedback. You can do so either using the in app menus or emailing me directly: feedback [at] rhythmapp [dot] audio.
PLEASE NOTE: SINCE THE APP IS IN BETA AND ALLOWS YOU TO REMOVE SONGS AND EDIT THEIR METADATA, PLEASE BACKUP YOUR MUSIC LIBRARY.
Any issues in editing songs may lead to song quality degradation or removal of songs, so do backup.
Thanks.
