I can't get videos to appear and play from the App TheChive is any one using this App that might have some ideas on the cause?
Thanks
Is anyone using "TheChive" app on their Prime? I get the Pictures that are Posted with this App but No Videos it like I don't have a "Plugin" or something. The Page will load where the Video is to appear but I just get a Blank White area.
I think I have figured it out. This App was made for Apple by the original company and the one out for Android it made by a 3rd party company that allows you to access The Chive webpage. the "true" Apple App has 2 version one is Free Version that only shows Pictures and a Pro pay version that has Video Streaming capabilities. This Android version just not a full version yet so No Video.

Ok so under the MyNet app that came with the ATP it picks up my Direct TV DVR (Using TVersity) and shows all the programs i have on my DVR, but it wont play any of them. Is there someone who can help me set this up so I can watch my DVR shows on the prime..if possible.
I have the same issue, it can see the movies but won't play them. Interesting it has no time length for the movies.

From what I've read on other sites our DirecTV receivers have a UPNP server in them which is what allows us to see it with the mycloud app. However, they implemented DTCP/IP for encrypting the video. I've not seen any apps that will play it for Android or Linux. I've seen some requests for mythtv and something else to support it but DTCP you have to pay just to get the specs. Hopefully DirecTV will update their app to be on par with the Apple that allows playback. Or maybe someone will leak the spec and the open source community will develop a library to support it in other apps.
Let me first day this isn't warez. For it to be fully functional you still have to be an MLB Premium subscriber. I'm posting should anyone have the issues I encountered.
On my Nook running CM7 the market said our device wasn't compatible. I sideloaded this from my phone and it works just fine.

Thanks. I'm going to try this out right away. Any idea if the live streaming video will work on the nook this year?
Unfortunately MLB "tested" their app on, what appears to be, whatever was around the office. The Fire is approved yet our Tablet isn't. I have a T-Mobile GS2 that isn't on the approved video list yet the AT&T version is. Last year they had an approved list...but allowed other to try with a disclaimer. I've written them regarding this.
I tried using the Dolphin browser set as Desktop and was able to connect. Unfortunately, CM7 video acceleration isn't up to par yet (hopefully soon) so I had a clear but choppy picture. It did, however, look great in my phone
......
MLB at Bat Lite is available on the Android Market now under CM7. I was able to login with my account and am listening to a game now...unfortunately it doesn't seem to show any live video. Quite annoying when the Kindle Fire is supposedly compatible. I'm hoping this might change when we get past spring training but will see.

There are very few games with live video that i have noticed. Unfortunately i havent tried to watch any but the fact I didnt have a "device not supported" error with at bat lite is a good sign.

Your link is dead. How do I get MLB to play on my tablet? I am a Premium Subscriber.
I figured a way to get Live streaming through mlb.com
First you need the Dolphin browser and set it up for "desktop" compatibility. This forces the web pages to open as they would if you were on a PC. Next, just download the Flash app 11 in the Google play store. Go to mlb.tv, sign in, and voila! you can watch all your games on live streams or archived!
It looks so good too, it streams in HD.

In Dolphin browser settings, more, Settings, Dolphin settings, User Agent = Desktop.
I recently got the Asus Prime and want to know the best apps for getting and watching tv and movies, i wouldn't mind paying for the app if need be but preferably wouldn't want to pay for every film and programme I watch, however a free app would be even better! Id like to be able to download in a WiFi area and then watch them on the go when i do not have connection. Also, what app is best for downloading and managing music free music, as I don't fancy playing for each and every song! Finally, i need a word processing app which includes word, PowerPoint and the other basic office tools, this I don't mind paying for as I'd like a good quality processing app. Any help on either of these subjects would be very helpful!

For movies and shows that you already have (as well as movie trailers and youtube clips I think) I recommend the excellent Mizuu. It's like a tablet version of WMC, Boxee, XBMC, etc. The IMDb app is also an excellent representation of what a tablet optimized app should look like.
If you subscribe to DirecTV you can now watch much of the content that you subscribe to on your android device with their updated app. The app is designed for phones so has some quirks with the vertical only format of menu screens, but once a video begins it will autorotate to horizontal view. Not high def but does work on our transformers and seems to keep up with little to no buffering. Though not perfect it is a much easier solution than trying to watch HBO go or max go on the browser.
HBO GO and MAXGO are now available for ICS devices

So you can watch live TV?
Uverse had a similar app, but you could only select from a list of shows.

No this looks to be similar that. There is a list of networks that, if you subscribe to them, you can watch on demand for free. For myself I see Audience, Cinemax, HBO, Starz, Sony Movie Channel and Encore. There are also pay per view items. So it isn't like the Slingbox thing with Dish Network.
It seems that the Time Warner app is better because it has popular HD networks. All this DirecTV one has is premium networks. Psha!

What will come first the app for flash player on WP8 or a new OS. I think this is biggest lack of app now. It seems there is no end in site for flash, its time MS paid for developing it. Anyone have any insight on this WP8 missing piece.

Meh,
The only page I've come across that needed flash was the one for a local restaurant. The majority of the sites have minimized or move from flash, or aren't intended for mobile devices.
That said, I'm sorry you can't create your new candy concoctions or tend your farms from your phone, thought there are plenty of other games that you can play that run natively on the phone.

perhaps you don't read BBC or stream video from tv sites. Thanks for cotton candy speech.
Adobe as of the year before last pulled out of the mobile market. That means flash is not even available on Android devices now unless you get a third party app that may still be floating around. All websites are supposed to be converting to HTML5 if they want mobile viewer traffic. If they have not converted then they are only interested in PC traffic and you should boycott the site to show them the traffic they are missing. Rather than make your work, you should make the sites do what they are supposed to do.
My android phone (Asus PadFone 2) is capable of showing live streams on Twitch.tv with the default browser, but I have no idea how. If I try to play a video from the day before on the website, it says I need flash player, so it only works if the channel is live. On my Lumia 920 however if I go to Twitch.tv, it says I need flash player, even if the channel is live... So how is it my PadFone can show live streams if its still flash-based, yet I get an error saying I need flash if I try to play videos from the day before?
I tried an unofficial Twitch TV app. on WP. It works well, but you have to pay to not get cut off every 5mins or so. I wish WP would also be able to show live streams on the actual Twitch TV website.
