Hi guys,
I was wondering if anybody knows how did the Bravia Engine development end? Did it work for the SGS2? I just saw a post from DarkyROM for the Note that mentions including the bravia engine, and started to wonder if it works for our phones too...
Thank you!
Had read (can't remember exactly the post) on the CheckROM thread that the"mod" could be installed but doesn't work on the SGS2 and effect is simply placebo.

Read the Bravia post on here .
Placebo yes in my view but Placebos work well for believers .

Ok, thank you! I have a further question, though: Do you reckon the placebo effect applies only to the SGS2 port, or you'd think it also is a placebo on the original SE phones?
I say this, because my gf had an Xperia Arc (just changed to a Note), and I saw some postprocessing done into the pic immediately after being taken. That is, it would show for half a second with some darker colors, and would immediately flick to the nicer more colorful final image you see. That only happened when we used a very slow microSD card.
Best to ask in the xperia forum.

The Bravia engine needed some oiling. I'll make sure it gets included in every ROM once it arrives back from the workshop.

Hi,
I was reading some comments people had made about not being able to port the keyboard on semc kernel to cyanogenmod kernel. So that got me thinking to the point - what is the difference between the two?
Is it that there are different drivers to both kernels or any other difference that matters big?

Speaking specifically about the keyboard, it's not kernel related, you got that part wrong.
It is integrated in Semc framework and libs, that's why it can't be ported to other ROMs.
As far as kernels are concerned, in general, different kernels are different.
And sometimes those differences do matter a big deal.
It depends on what you want to do.

it has nothing with the kernel.
the framework is different.so you can’t use the semc keyboard in z's CM7

here what is best for you
It seems this thread will be repeated ad nauseam, so do the mods think it would be a good idea to just sticky it (with 'there isn't one ffs' written in brackets in the title)? Could save a lot of admin time.

My best rom that currently installed on my phone is cm 7.2 official from samsung and unofficially approved by apple, cooked by google, certified by IAEA for nuclear safety.
The fastest and lightest rom is jelly bean rom and key lime pie rom with a tinch of honeycomb...........yu will love it like hell
If yu want this then do the following:-
1)throw yur ace
2)buy galaxy s2
3)stfu and go to their section for irritating
4)dnt come back to this section
5)dnt post crap anywhere yu like
6)and important thing read the whole section of galaxy ace and then post......

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew when the Xperia S is getting android 4.0/whether it was worth putting a custom rom on it, depending on how much time there is.
Thanks,

I respect your curiosity I just wanna ask if we need a new thread every time
