I read the post myself, and I believe that he meant CWM, (or Clockwork Mod). I believe that your suspicions are correct, my friend.

[Q] SHOStock2 ICS "your device isn't compatible with this version"

I recently installed the newest SHOStock2 on my SGH-I777. I really like it, but I'm having an issue installing a few apps. The main one being MLB at bat 2012. I've read all the posts about screen density and clearing cache and all that. I never changed the density before, but I got ROM toolbox and changed it to several things, then back to 240. Uninstalled Google Play update, cleared cache, etc... Nothing seems to work. I'm a semi noob I guess, I've been rooting for a while but I've never posted in here so it won't let me post on the SHOStock thread. Any have this happen or have any tips?
Change DPI to 240. Reboot. Clear play store data. Open play store and try again .
If that fails. Full wipe and reflash.

I've done all that. Guess I'll have to try to reflash.
EDIT: That didn't work either.

Google search "s5300 change dpi"
It's one thing to have the SGH-i777 and ask questions about changing settings, but don't ask questions in a forum for a specific phone, when the question is about a completely different phone. Why should we do your searching for you?

... You have to go to your own phone's section for roms you can't do this. You will have to flash stock firmware. Look that up in your threads

Same here. Flashed the early AOKP ROM and had problems with the .gapps FCs so I flashed back the stock ROM. I hope we can make some headway on resetting the flash counter.
Anybody else?

Aokp Rom

Was wondering if anyone else has been having problem with this rom. This has been my favorite from but lately its been acting up. Ever so often I have no connection to Att network or won't read SD card. The OTA updater won't connect reboot solves to issues temporarily but after a while starts up again.

No one else is experiencing these issues, the latest release is considered very stable. So this problem is either hardware or user error. To find which one, I would do a full wipe and then reinstall. If everything runs fine without any crap installed, then probably user error.

Being that you are on a custom ROM, I'm fairly certain OTA updates don't work. (I may be confusing this with kies. Hell dunno, never used either.)
