Hey guys I have added the Facebook acct (for syncing) but the calendar keeps saying "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Ive tried removing the acct and adding it back but its still happening. Any1 any ideas why this is happening or how to fix?
I'm having the same issue. Looks like the last time it sync'ed was 02/07 how about you? The strange thing is that Gallery sync on the same account is working normally, and contact sync for the facebook app itself is working normally.
I'm putting this down to an issue on facebook's side - as I've also tried removing the account and re-adding.
It would be interesting to see if our devices stopped syncing on the same day.
i am having the same issue as well, gonna give it a day or so and see if it works itself out. i agree that its probably on the FB side of things
Same here.. It's probably the FB protocol or something knowing them post if you figure it out. Wonder if newer roms work or not? Be a quick upgrade then port the new file umm

Just replaced the SNS.apk from /system/app with a newer version from the latest ROM released. Seems to work!
I'll upload the files tomorrow to drop box, odex and none, tomorrow some time..
Edit: Here is a link to the files. Suggest you backup your old ones first and replace. Delete dalvik cache, reboot, add the new account. Might take another reboot to get your apps going. Working in Jorte Calender now

Hi, you can also export your FB calendar via parameters in your FB web page, and paste it in your google calendar (always via web), activate it in your sgs3 calendar app and it's good
See link below for more details: (works for events and birthday)

:cyclops:
Yeah I already synced my fb bdays through Google before this happened and bdays is the only event type I have so I unticked the calendar syncing.

Hope this works for you...
So I got Rolle Youtube version on my phone as well as the regular Youtube app. My gmail is already linked to my youtube account as can be seen when I access it through the regular Youtube app but when I try to sign in with my gmail account in Rolle Youtube, it says that it is not linked to a Youtube account. How do I get around this?
Same issue here. Gave up for now..

Ive got the same problem. Can anyone help???
Exactly same here on every Rom!
Anyone know how to fix?
No fix
It's a modified apk and also based on a very old version of youtube.
This problem exist between gingerbread 2.3.4 (and perhaps older).
I really think you never have a fix.

Hi,
I am on cm9 the latest release.
Now I have the following problem.
When Google play tries to update Google maps for example, I will get the message insufficient memory. But I have 7gb free.
I can install other apps without problem. For example angry birds. At the same time I cannot install datafix application with only some kilobytes.
I tried to flash the gapps again. But nothing. I tried to clear all the caches. But it doesn't work.
I tried to delete my Google account and login again, but still the same issue.
Does anybody have an idea?

Morning mate
I've had numerous different error messages from Play Store and have successfully cleared them by going to settings>applications manager>swIpe to all apps>scroll down to Google Services Framework and clear data.
I do a reboot for good measure too.
Good luck

Hi guys, I've had some luck running a few 4.2 apps like calendar, email and calculator on Revolution 6.0 Rom, the mms.apk is a little more painful, any mms messages cause it to force close, you can send but not read them. Could anyone tell me if I'm missing a dependency our how to log this stuff. I'm new to android customisation so logging is probably a good place to start.

I really would like to use AOSP Mms.apk with TouchWiz Ross because the delivery reports on Sammy Mms app are very very annoying...giving the same notification than when you receive a message...so that I always think I got a new message...
But I need these delivery reports...
The problem with AOSP Mms.apk is not only with MMS, but all new message starts a new thread...even if it's the same contact...

Has anyone having trouble with chrome lately? It started today, it keeps force closing...

Not really but then again with the latest update to next browser i uninstalled chrome. Next does sync all chrome bookmarks from your PC now.
It's faster and more stable then chrome for android and it does work with this site. No matter if i used Beta or release chrome - XDA allways kept refreshing constantly.
Edit: Used both on 4.1.2 and now on 4.3.1 - used Android 4.2.2 for a total amount of like 10 minutes then it had to go - phablet UI no thanks.
