I have model BC0KAS on .11, works perfectly except for the GPS. One thing I notice is the whites are cream color compared to my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and my TF101. Any ideas how to rectify?

Doubtful, the arms on that stand don't appear to adjust, the galaxy tabs have a different aspect ratio so its unlikely to fit.
I have Galaxy S2 and yesterday got my G Note. If I compare the colors of S2 with GNote, GNote colors seem washed out..contrast is lacking..it is quite evident in stock browser, stock email app and when looking at blue and grey color..
Is there any way to fix this? I like the higher contrast of S2
S2 has setting to choose color profile i.e. standard, dynamic etc..I see the same option is missing from GNote...can someone help?
What your more than likely noticing is the difference between Super AMOLED HD vs. Super AMOLED plus. The plus has the slight contrast advantage iirc. That's because of the better sub pixel layout found in the plus. So I don't know if there is a way around it.

could also be a defective screen. My captivate suffered from the same problem. It also has a amoled display(not plus). Turns out some of the samsung displays suffer from colors looking washed out. Id say try to compare the colors to a galaxy s I, or another galaxy note. If it looks worse get another one from them.
Just stating what I know, both phones have the same resolution, but the screen sizes are different, hence the S2 looks stretched, and not as good as the S?
I just got the S2 and came from the S, the screen doesn't look as good as the S. Still nice, but some of it looks pixelated. Nothing major, but somewhat disappointing.
I still have both and in some cases find the S1 screen does look better. Was taking pics the other day on the S2 until the battery ran out so started taking pics with the S1. Whatever I was focusing on looked much clearer on the S1. But the actual picture is much better on the S2. Still, the S2 is miles ahead overall. The best phone I have very used.

Change the dpi it does look somewhat better.
But still if you put a resolution of 480*800 on a 4.3 inch screen, it will look bad.
Mat vs. Reflective
I believe the difference you're seeing is that the S screen is somewhat more reflective than the S2.
When looking in the right conditions, A reflective screen will look better (i.e. "oohhh, shiny!").
Personally, I prefer the S2 screen. It is a little less reflective and a bit brighter, giving me better visibility in direct sunlight - although I don't have any real specs to compare by, that's just my own two eyes doing the comparison.
.
My mother have the SGS and me the SGSII... and i can't understand how you can think the SGS screen looks better :O

SGS looks much more crisper while the text in S2 looks pixelated.
Went to the mall today and stopped in the Verizon/Sprint and AT&T stores...and Best Buy Mobile too, looking for the GS3 demo of course. No luck. But I did play with the Galaxy Nexus and if the screen on it is what I can expect on the GS3 I think i'm gonna be a happy camper cause it looked lovely. Anybody know if they are the same?
GS3 has a nicer screen but i think it's the same size

I don't have a GS3 (yet), and I've heard the screen is nicer. But it actually has a larger screen (not the same size as noted above). I believe Nexus is 4.65" vs. 4.8" of the GS3.

The reviews say it is better despite the lower pixel density. I wouldn't put too much stock on it though. The one on my friends GS3 looked great but some videos had some pretty pink tinted ones that didn't look too hot.
We will see. Cross our fingers.
I compared my SGS3 screen with my friends Galaxy Nexus. SGS3 is much brighter and whiter.
It's the same display, a bit different tweaks.
SGS3 display is definitely brighter than the GN, but the Galaxy Note screen is the absolute brightest of them all by a good/large margin.
SGS3 has tweaked color profile to offer more natural colors instead of being over saturated and blueish tint. Whites are definitely whiter now without the blue-ish tint. Still not as white as an IPS LCD though.

Wow...I was blown away with how nice the display was on the GNex, if the GS3 is better than that
i have both and, over-sharpening tweaks aside, the SGS3 screen is noticeably better. the Gnex has a real problem with gray's, which is quite a bit better on the SGS3 - probably because the brightness is better on every level. It's also the least pentile-looking AMOLED screen i've ever seen.
The note's display is still the best though. It's brightness, color balance and clarity are on another level.
I just got the galaxy note and I have to say that the colour banding is very very bad compared S2 and S1, I watching almost all my movies and tv shows on my phone, I really need a phone with good screen
I know both the note and the s3 uses pentile, how does the colour banding issue on the S3.

I dont have a full answer, but :
Samsung claims to have a 24bit color depth screen, which corresponds to 16M colors (actually, I seem to recall a guy who said it was 32bits, 6 bits being used for the alpha channel).
According to the official Galaxy Note spec sheet, it also has a 24bit color depth.
So, if you stick to the tech specs, there is no difference.
- But I've read reviewers saying the color banding effect was really reduced on the Galaxy S 3.
- But I've also read reviewer saying it the color depth was better on the Galaxy S 3 than it is on the HTC One X (while it's also 24bits on the HTC's device)
Finally, I don't know what to believe. Thanks for reading my non-answer
i would say there is no color banding when compared with my previous sgs2!!
So you saying it is better than s2

had black color issue on note, with s3 i dont have it. So far didnt see any color banding on my s3
Gradient banding in the s3 is there but i only notice it when watching videos. its a lot harder to notice than note but easier to see than the s2 in my experience....however certain apps have it like angry birds space, if u look closely at the sun and the blue space color the fading is not overly smooth like it would be on an lcd screen for example....the s2 does the same so does the nexus and the note so i guess its an amoled thing.
It's there on a lot of Android stock dark gray and black backgrounds and in some games. Not quite as bad as the GS2, but nowhere near what it should be for a 720p HD screen.
Really think they'd be able to correct it by now.
Gradient Banding is there at S III, it is damn obvious in certain wallpaper.
How to solved this?
I know S II also got this issue, but CM fix it, but I don't want to use CM in my S III.
I dont have the same problems in my SGS3 than in my old Galaxy Note but i noticed that the SGS3 also have some problems in the screen like gradient banding in gray scale colours, very frustrated with my 2 last Galaxy smartphones.
For view the issue that im talking with gradients, an example are go to browsermark site, this site have a gradient gray brackgound but in the SGS3 half background are gray with some banding lines and the other half of the background are totally black, see here:
http://browsermark.rightware.com/browsermark/
for movies try one x. for raw power with 2nd best screen, take s3

Surprisingly the banding issue is non-issue on the AT&T GS3, whereas my International GS3 there is still a slight banding issue even after applying the 'fix'.
Much much better than S2. There is some minor banding if you examine carefully, but if we weren't sensitized to this issue by S2, I wouldn't have noticed it.
