Hi guys, i hope you can help me.
So i was on Resurrection 2.1 rom, and my phone wasn't charging properly. That's why i decided to flash the stock ICS rom from Samsung.
I flashed it with Odin, and when it said "Passed" i lifted up my SGS 2 and Odin said "Fail".
Also my 32gb micro sd card broke. When i connect it to my pc, my pc laggs and the card is not recognised.
Now when i try to boot my phone there is a computer connected to the phone with a big yellow triangle.
It says: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I couldn't flash again with odin because it is detected as an unknown device and not as Samsung device.
I could not find the recovery mode in Kies..
I really hope u can help me with my phone and sdcard issue.
I suggest trying a usb jig to force it to download mode or send it to samsung service center buddy. I have read a problem similar to this and they sent it to samsung service center, dunno if they recovered it them selves.

i can get into download mode without a jig but its not recognised as a samsung device, so i could use odin. -.-

Try uninstalling and reinstall kies. If it does not work try different usb ports. It worked for me. I used one port then after that i tried using the same port but it didn't recognize it anymore. I tried a different port and it did get recognized eventually. Try the different usb port first.

Hi, I don't know if anyone still reads this thread but I my SGS2 is also bricked and I can't seem to find a solution. I was trying to flash the latest resurection rom up from 4.0.3 and during the final reboot it went dark and never cam back. The computer recognizes a usb device being plugged in but does not recognize the drivers. I've tried different USB ports to no avail. Because it won't recognize it I can't get it into download mode which means I can't unbrick it. Any ideas? Thanx!
Im in some serious **** here. I was on CM10 136 and everything was working fine. Today,i decided to update to whatever FXP released. When I tried connecting to the PC,my phone would just charge, not connect,as in,no pop up to ask if I wanted to connect my phone in Mass Storage. This is extremely weird because everything was working just fine and i've flashed like,a LOT of times, different ROMs and different kernels. And YES i know how to put my phone into flash mode and the drivers are all up to date. What is weird is that when I press the back button and insert the phone into the USB hub,the green light flashes just for a mini second and then the phone starts. Same thing happens if i connect in fastboot mode. Ive tried with multiple USB ports. Guys,Im worried sick here. if i take the phone to the service center here in India, they won't understand **** about fastboot/flash mode. Also,Ive already voided my warranty by unlocking the bootloader the official way. Please, please help me.
PS-Ive tried searching for this and a couple of posts have come up with this same problem in other devices such as the X8. Ive also tried disconnecting all other USB devices and still, nothing works.

My wire is fine,I think, because, its the original thing that came with the phone and other phones with micro USB connect to the PC properly. Also,as ive already stated,Ive tried multiple USB ports both on the front and on the back of the PC. The ports areOK because i just bought the motherboard. Thanks for the reply.
Were you able to go to cwm mode.if yes the do a factory reset and all cache before that remove sd card and move Rom files using card reader. Jus a try .

I wiped my phone completely,it doesn't help. Could you further elaborate moving ROM files? Like, shifting system files onto another storage or something? Is that possible?
I meant to flash some other Rom . Did you try removing battery and then put battery and try flash mode.

Uh yeah,i did remove the battery and reboot the phone and try again. Also,I don't know if it'll help flashing a new ROM with the same kernel. I shall try downloading AOKP or something. The ROM should work since both are JB based kernels. Ill report back.
If it only charges and doesn't connect to pc even in mass storage mode then surely its problem in pc. Have you tried on diff pc?

Okay so I updated to FXP 138 and it now does go into USB mass storage, but the main problem still exists. it still doesn't go into Fastboot or Flashmode. I don't have a second PC so give me some time to confirm this.
Just try another cable.

SOLVED.
Pheew. I uninstalled the drivers on my PC and then wiped the Dalvik cache via the recovery. Connected it to the PC and bham,SEMC Flash drivers are installed. But if i stayed on flash mode longer than 10 seconds the phone automatically reboots and shows the FreeXperia logo. Something is definitely up with the kernel guys. :\
Flashing back to stock ICS for now. Thank you all for replying, helped me a lot.
Anytime bhai..

I really need help, please don't ignore this thread.
I wanted to unroot my phone to send it to samsung service so that they repair my nearly defect mini-USB port.
I reseted the counter and removed the triangle successfully. Then, because I can't connect the phone to Odin on PC
I decided to install mobile Odin and unroot it by flashing a stock ROM. And now I am stuck at the Galaxy S2 logo without
recovery so that I atleast restore from a backup. I can't even connect the phone to Odin on PC.
please help me!!!
Can you still go to download mode? If you can, then please flash a stock firmware/rom right away.
If you can't enter download mode, then a USB jig might be of great use to you

Thanks for the quick reply.
I can enter download mode, but my problem is that odin won't recognize my phone on pc
because of the "nearly" defect usb-port, well that's what I think atleast :S
nobody wants to help me :/
As you're rooted you have CWM app right?
Can you open that and choose reboot in recovery?
Or maybe try flashing the firmware again.

My problem is that I can't even boot the phone.. I can only boot in download mode but the usb-port is damaged and odin won't recognize the phone... But if I send it to repair, the triangle is away and counter reseted, they must replace the usb-port and flash a firmware so they are not going to be able to see the phone rooted or am I wrong?

That means the usb-port is damaged...

Mmmm not sure what steps a service centre will take to repair your phone. Perhaps your usb port has a bad connection as the pc knows something is connected to it, it just doesn't know what. Have you tried cleaning it gently with a toothbrush and a different usb cable?

Well, I have this experience while flashing my friend's phone and here what I've done:
-reboot my computer
-connect the phone, kill all kies related process (I'm using Windows) and start odin. If odin recognise your phone at this point, you are good to go else you might want to reinstall usb drivers.
-use full wipe odin files I found from internet (I got from the pirate bay with search key ics full wipe)
-got few files in that folder. Hope you know their function. Or you can ask here.
Hope this helps.
edit: you also can try to plug into different usb port that have different usb controller

If Odin adds and removes quickly, this looks like your USB cable is dead, try flashing with another - Genuine- one
I had a similar issue while flashing my former SGS1: flashing process interrupted suddenly at 50%
A similar kind of thing happened to my phone as well when I was upgrading to 4.0.4 from gingerbread via Kies. The installation got stuck when the phone was in the download mode and I had no other option than to disconnect. But yours got stuck while using Odin. I would suggest you to flash the firmware again. I hope your phone goes into download mode now. As for the drivers, uninstall everything related to samsung from your PC and then reinstall it. DO NOT UPGRADE SAMSUNG KIES IF IT ASKS YOU TO DO SO! AS I TOLD YOU A SIMILAR THING HAPPENED TO MY PHONE. MY PC COULD'NT RECOGNIZE IT AND I REINSTALLED EVEYTHING AND IT FINALLY SHOWED SOME SIGN. MAKE SURE YOUR ANTIVIRUS IS FULLY DEACTIVATED WHILE YOU EXECUTE THE FLASHING OPERATION!

first of all, while your phone is disconnected from USB cable, can you enter download mode?if no, then try to find someone that have JIG. else, as leech4 said, this might caused by your USB cable. OR might caused by your USB port of your PC. as i said earlier, try to repair your USB driver (not sammy USB driver, but your PC's usb driver). flash using ODIN, and kill kies services from task manager as kies will conflict with ODIN later. here i give you LSJ link(thanks to ApriliaM3) in case you don't have. extract the zip and use all the PDA, PHONE and CSC file. you can even use PIT to re-partition your system. (tested and proven to be working). good luck mate.:good:

Wow, I suspect this kind of brick or what so ever others called it. I've read some where, and they talking about JIG. If what they mean is the same like what I understood from my electronic knowledge, then you have to find someone that have JIG to do further troubleshooting directly from your board, not via usb. Well, I'm just saying. You might want to seek for other solution first since it's your device.

As @sriram231092 said correctly you have to stop ALL of kies related processes.
The kies is important so your OS will have the required drivers so the device could be recognized.
After installing kies, make sure you do a reboot and then, just before you start ODIN close all the kies related processes.
I also suggest you run ODIN as admin if you're running win 7 or above.

Try to restart your pc/laptop? Take out the usb cable, restart windows, stop kies, start odin, plug in usb and it should say added.
Ps: you only needed kies to install your phone drivers, so make sure it has installed the drivers, you can check by normally starting your phone, plug in usb and see a popup msg.
