anyone plan on using Sugru instead of a case? idk how practical it would be with those 4 corner rubber pieces, if they would make it tough to put the Note in and out of my pockets...

you can order Sugru here: https://sugru.com/us/buy
anyone think that it's practical or no?
Wrong thread and I rather put a thick rubber band around it.
if an admin could move this to Accessories i'd appreciate it

Sugru corners are the best phone protection. You can't drop your phone on a regular surface and not have it hit one of the 1/8" raised corners first. The material is bouncy but stiff and takes up a ton of shock. You can peel it off and redo it. Best of all you aren't turning your 8mm thick phone into a 1" thick brick and get to keep the aesthetics that the company intended.

So presumably as long as you drop it on something flat, the thick corners will absorb the shock? Interesting. Still ugly, but..

I made an aluminum stand for my gTablet today. Its nothing fancy, you can buy them online for about $30, but I'm learning to work with metal and happy with the results
I made it tall enough so that it is stable in portrait mode.

Next step will be to get our favorite green guy on there...I'm thinking acid-etched, but a sticker may be a lot simpler
Very nice.. maybe a duct tape hinge at the top bend (with a retaining piece across the middle of the two uprights) for portability?

I have a Lego stand for portability...
I can't take credit for the design - I saw something similar online and then gave my 10 year old $5 to make me something similar
Wow. That's really creative. I like both of them but especially the lego piece.

I bought the OSF as my main work phone and needed a decent quality case with a belt clip to go with it. I spotted that the Droid Incredible was almost the same size as the OSF/Blade and Tuff-Luv have a case for that model so I ordered one hoping it would be close enough that I could make it fit.
No worries, the case arrived today, the fit is as near perfect as it could be! and as a bonus the belt clip stud fits my Krussel multidapt system perfectly. The phone is held firmly in place by the two side panels (the Incredible is meant to be 2mm wider so it would have been a very tight fit) the flap closes over properly and will pull down to expose the camera lens for taking photos. Two possible reasons why you might not like this case are, the vol down button is covered by the side panel, see pic1 and the headphone socket/power button are covered by the flap when closed pic3, neither one bothers me so that's ok

/edit - As always, the Tuff-Luv quality is excellent!
nice case.
i'm searching something similar like this.
http://cgi.ebay.es/Genuine-Leather-...123926?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item53e4df4896
perhaps will be compatible?.
The case came from Amazon UK but is available on eBay and probably other places as well, it came with a couple of screen protectors, a mini stylus and a small cleaning cloth. It's very lightweight which is good, the inner phone holder section is a gel type case to which the outer cover is attached. It doesn't feel very substantial and I'm not sure of it's survivability in my pocket over time but for now and until Seidio or Otterbox come up with something better, it will do the job.
I've had it a few days now and it has it's good points but I'm liking it less all the time. It feels plasticky and cheap although it does protect the phone as well as any case of this type could. I'm a lefty and the wrap around magnetic closure is awkward for me to use (not Safvys fault)
Pictures below show the case, the last ones with the phone in it, one showing the Sview section in operation and the other shows the anti glare screen protector I've fitted. I prefer these although they do add a bit of graininess to the screen.

Needs a credit card slot, then it would be perfect

I have had the case for about a month. This is my first wallet case and I wanted to get a cheaper one to see if I even like them. Previously I was using a UAG. It does seem to be real leather, it has a high shine to it, and the grain looks good. I'm able to put 6 cards in as well as 10 or so bills in the pouch. It could potentially hold more cards.
Pros
Good quality for the price.
Accommodates a lot of what was in my regular wallet.
Cons
No top or bottom coverage with the clip in case part. (Though leather extends past which should protect phone on top and bottom)
Personal preference I like the leather a little softer as well as less shiny. ( I was able to fix this after these pictures by lightly rubbing it down with an alcohol wipe)

Thats a very elegant case.
Would you mind telling us what you thought of it having lived with it over an extended period of time?
Maybe an updated pro vs con list

EDIT: Seems like im not the only one.. There is a Reddit post aswell about this, just one though:

Having the same issues here...
Any solutions?
Your case is rubbing against the tablet's back and rubbing out bald spots. The back cover is an ABS plastic frame spray-coated with a very thin layer of silicone rubber. Any friction applied to that rubber layer will result in bald spots, as it's a very non-durable material. Nothing you can do about it except stop using that case.
The n9 back is so sensible, mine is ruined by a rotating case that I bought to protect it ?
