[Q] A sever error has occured - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Why do I get this every time when I restore apps with titanium backup? And I just can't access My apps in market anymore. It's a clean stock 2.3.5 with cf root.

Please, anyone? I am sick of reflashing and factory resets.

Phone not restoring via ROM mgr...I'm stumped.

Hi.
I just unrooted and rerooted tonight, I definitely do have root access, but my phone is not restoring my rom I backed up earlier today (or any rom for that matter). It goes thru the restoring process, and within 20 seconds it says "system data not found"...."data not found"....etc. The backup is there, I can see it on my card, its just not restoring it.
I thought I bricked my phone but I was able to install a rom from scratch but badly want to backup as that has all my data but its not doing it......
I'm stumped.
How did you back it up?
Try doing it from recovery without Rom Manager

Oh most definitely! use recovery for back UPS, restores, and flashing.

[Q] Sorry! The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly.

Hello guys,
I am having a bit of problems with my atrix. I recently rooted my phone using superoneclik. As i was exploring some apps, I came across titanium backup. I went ahead and was trying to delete the bloatware that bell had put in my phone.. But the phone just gave me some application error.
Now, the problem I am facing is I cant get past the error message. There is an option to force close but it doesnt help. I cant pull up any menus or anything so there's no question about going to settings menu and doing a reset. I also tried the hard reset using fastboot.. tried to restore.. but nothing seems to happen. Also, I cant install new rom as i dont have CWM..
please advise.. I am with Bell Canada if that makes any difference.
thanks
j
II have the same problem. Did you get anywhere with your atrix?

You must have deleted an application that is necessary for the Os to operate.I faced this situation when i deleted some system apps using rom toolbox and the only way to recover i found was to flash the rom again but i had a unlocked bootloader and i easily reflashed the rom using CWM recovery. In your situation i think u will have to reflash the sbf using RSD.
90% it's a problem in a new version of Google Search. Try to downgrade it.
Started to have this problem and my phone is unrooted, and stock. I downgraded google search app and have not had the problem since.

[Q] Xperia Tablet - Re-lashing Stock Help Needed

I am stuck on the Sony blue animation screen after installing a task killer app. It just hangs there. I can get into recovery, however.
I am trying to reflash my stock firmware to remedy the problem as it seems something got corrupted ( I was rooted when this happened). I am in recovery and am trying to flash the latest "US" update to my tab but I am getting the following error."Erohibed update as result of checking version or base sku"
What do I need to do to reflash and get back to stock? I do not have adb access...
Try factory reset. You will lose data and maybe root

By factory reset, do you mean in recovery? I tried that and for some reason it did not work...

[Q] Downgraded 4.0.4 -> 4.0.3 to beat brick bug, now getting 'App stopped' messages
Argghhh.
I've managed to use Odin to get from 4.0.4 to 4.0.3, but when the phone starts it stops responding to input as it's putting up a chain of error messages. It started with 'acore' has stopped. I googled and went and cleared the App Data for Contacts and Contact Storage. (Clear Cache wasn't enabled for either). I'm now getting other app stopped messages... LogsProvider, Maps, Voice Search etc etc.
Should I reflash? Or do a factory reset? Or do a Clear Cache and Clear Dalvik (Don't know how to do those, so brief tips welcomed!)
My next steps were going to be to install the Chainfire root + CWM rom (instructions from http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s2-i9100-xxlpq-root-cwm-clockworkmod-recovery-65393/). Should I go straight into that instead?
Help would be appreciated. I'm normally quite geeky tech guy, but given the brick bug situation I'm erring on the cautious side with this
That. (As long as you're 100% sure you're not running a 4.0.4 kernel; if in doubt, flash a custom kernel first).

just flash a custom kernel like Siyah v 4.1.5 (tar file for ODIN) from pc odin to get a custom recovery and then do a Wipe data/factory reset to bring about stability.
ps- do backup all ur user apps using TB so that after wipe data u can restore all those apps back on ur phone. Also make a backup of ur contacts (if not synched to google) and text messages (SMS) using third party apps from stores.
I've backed everything up via Kies and My Backup, and after logging out of the Samsung account I got a bunch more 'stopped app' messages... it's resetting now.
<fingers crossed>
If that's ok it's on to the Chainfire update I mentioned before...
edit:
Yay, starts fine, no errors, thanks
edit2:
chainfire's kernel installed ok too. So I think I'll try MIUI until the official UK release of JellyBean.
Glad it's working for you now. You're welcome
Re: [Q] Downgraded 4.0.4 -> 4.0.3 to beat brick bug, now getting 'App stopped' messag
Hello guys. I am currently using Slimbean RC1 and I made a backup of my rooted stock 4.0.4 with Siyah kernel so that when I restore my backup anytime in future then will not have any super brick risks. But I have a confusion. Do I need to do a full wipe in CWM before restoring backup? Or it will wipe automatically?

[Q] Galaxy tab 10.1 complete restore after custom roms

Hi
I have a galaxy tab 10.1 GT-P7500. I have been messing around a lot with custom ROMs. Now I want to do a proper restore to official ICS. I have the Odin flashable package. When I restore it just using this, my tablet does not want to root again on this stock firmware. I looses root as soon as I flash the root package.
What I want to do is do a complete restore of the tablet. I don't really know much about the bootloaders and so on.
Should I get a PIT file and tick re-partition as well as update phone bootloader?
I have restored an old Nandroid backup and did a factory restore on the tablet but there is something wrong with it. Every now and then the tablet just do a random reboot, but not a complete reboot. The screen goes blank and then back on again. Signal gets lost and everything that I was busy with are gone. I use the Wi-Fi hotspot all the time and every time that this happens I have to turn it back on again.
Anyone who can tell me how to do a proper restore of everything on the tablet?
Boot into cwm or twrp recovery, do a full wipe, not including internal storage, then flash stock ICS again.

after the Odin to stock and flashing the root zip... did you try to update the binaries for the super user app you're using...?
Thanks. Will try that tomorow. Why should I not include internal memory?
After flashing stock ICS, the superuser apps did not work at all. It tried to update binary, but kept on giving errors.

Because your important files are there. Unless you don't care about those files or you've backed up in your computer, then you can wipe it. I've seen people wiping their internal memory blindly and then posting "Help, my photos/videos are gone!! Is there any way to recover it???" Which is why I said not to wipe your internal memory.
Regarding the superuser, what error did it give out?

I can't remeber the error that superuser give out.
I have flashed stock ICS now, but when I try to load the update file which I always used to root it, the stock recovery give an error saying unknown path for sdcard(photo included).
I have formatted all the partitions using CWM before reflashing.
This also happened before I started using my old backup again. Do you know why this will happen? Should I try to repartition the device or something?

After flashing stock ICS, you did make sure that it booted well and let it settle first right? You can't use stock recovery to flash things. Flash cwm recovery first then flash the update zip.

Yes, it booted and I logged into gmail and everything. I have loaded cwm and flashed the zip file. Then get the error "root possibly lost. Fix?" Does not matter if I choose yes or no. I don't have root access. Superuser say I must update binary and then when it try to get root access fails.

First, check to see if the su binary is in /system/xbin or not. Download terminal emulator, then type su and see if it works. If it says su not found, it means the su binary is not installed. If so, try flashing the SuperSU zip (https://db.tt/18JKy062) and see if it works.
Edit: OK never mind, I see you solved it.
