HYDRAOSP
This is not my ROM. This ROM is the work of netchip and Paradoxxx and was originally developed for the i9100. I simply toyed around with settings to find a flash-aholics configuration that works.
Pure, Stock, AOSP derived from source code and built specifically for the Galaxy SII. This is not a derivative of CM7, although it uses certain CM7 modules for things like drivers... that are AOSP to begin with. Android 2.3.7.
It's around Sixty Megabytes. It IS Odex'ed, but that makes it extremely fast.
Please READ the original thread before asking any questions. If you DO have questions, post in the i9100 forum if it's a general question about the ROM, and post here if it's a question specific to our device.
Siyah Kernel does not work (extract the latest CM7 kernel and use that if the one Flash-aholicsTool provides isn't to your liking)
ORIGINAL ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485411
FLASH-AHOLICSTOOL:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484223
Directions
Open the ROM file in Flash-aholicsTool
Change the Kernel to "CM7 11-16-2011"
Change the Modem to the CM7/MIUI based KK6 (may be unnecessary but it's what I did)
Hellraise the ROM
Build the ROM
Reboot into Recovery mode
Factory Reset, Wipe Dalvik, Format /system
Flash ROM
Flash GoogleApps package whenever (you can use the CM7 one if you want)
My experience with the ROM:
The fastest ROM I've ever used. The battery life is outstanding. 70% after 11+hours of average usage. It comes with the bare necessities, but the market is there for everything else you want and need. I will most probably stick with this ROM until ICS is stable enough for usage.
When i click on change the modem to k6 modem and then go and build it, it gives me an error saying that the rom will still be built with no changes to the modem
You did get their permission before posting this right?

So you're providing links to the original post and the flashoholic tool. This isn't really a thing we need to start a new thread for is it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
Why would you start a new thread for this bro???
this isn't "flash-aholic'ed" at all
post a flashable port
Less effort for development every day.
Didn't even try to upload the port...
You shouldn't be starting a thread that literally tells nothing new. The tool has its own thread. You didn't even post a flashable zip and I'm guessing you didn't ask permission of whoever actually created this rom. Wth lol

I hellraised this ROM, and have posted a download link below.
All credit goes to the original developer *Paradoxxx*, Flashaholic' by ktoonsez, and Entropy512's original Hellraiser script.
Here's a link to the original thread HydraAOSP by Paradoxxx
The reason this is here is for anyone clicking on this thread that actually WANTED A DOWNLOAD link for a rom =D I have PM'd Paradoxxx to let him know I'm putting this link here. If requested, it will be taken down, or at the moderator's wishes. This is built with Siyah kernel 2.1.2, no init.d changes or build.prop changes done by me. It will not flash a modem, so whatever modem you have flashed will still be there upon boot of this ROM.
I'm not a developer, nor do I want any credit for anything. Please donate or thank the original developer, and those making this possible. God bless, here's the download link.
Hellraised Hydra AOSP by Paradoxxx
EDIT: I didn't modify the build.prop so coming from a stock ROM (non hellraised) you may have to modify it yourself, or just flash a hellraised rom like ICSCREWED before flashing this to make it work properly.

It is ported via flashaholic tool. Try flashing a hellraised rom like icsscrewed first then wipe and flash this.

Due to many bugs in EC09 and the widely reported SD Card issues, I am now recommending that you flash ED01-series Froyo ROMs or one of the AOSP Gingerbread ROMs (andmer's MIUI or jt's CM7).
Hello community,
Today I bring you TechnoROM. It is a ROM based off of navenedrob's NAMELESS v4.1 with a few tweaks from the forums & irc. Includes Nameless background to pay homage to its roots. It is mostly NAMELESS with tweaks.
This is my first custom ROM, and it, of course, is based off of EC09. THIS IS ALPHA SOFTWARE.
Thanks to...
Navenedrob (for NAMELESS)
Adrynalyne (for his framework)
redeyes (for link to new graphics)
The IRC crew
The whole Community!
Corrupted SD Cards
Here is my viewpoint on the corrupted SD deal. Are the corrupted? Probably not. Mine just "corrupted" itself and is supposedly blank. However, in Clockwork Mod, it sees all my files. Odd? What is even more weird is that a simple reboot seemed to fix my problem. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe its still messed up, but try this first before you panic.
If you flash, backup your SD Card, or don't come whining to me, navenedrob, or any of the developers. Along with all the other bugs in EC09, it doesn't make sense to use this release at the moment. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Instructions:
Install this(http://www.multiupload.com/8VDE8GX69P) recovery if you have not done so. It is CWM3 OTB from the NAMELESS thread. You will need ODIN.
Download TechnoROM and place it on your SD Card.
Boot to Clockwork Mod (Both volume keys + Power) and select flash zip. Find the package, and flash. This should wipe your data for you.
Reboot. Profit.
Changes
Various Fixs
New Framework from Adynalyne (with over scroll glow)
New graphics drivers from Nexus S
Launcher2 from AOSP Gingerbread
Included Titanium Backup to get you going quicker
Issues
SD Card could be corrupted, formatted, or wiped clean. See SD Card section for more details.
Poor 2D performance (will look into)
Auto-rotate cause event\0 to drain battery (issue with every EC09)
TSM Boot Options Force Close [from NAMELESS]
File Manager Force Close
Videos don't play
Stock browser won't download specific files
I am starting small with a few changes, and I will add as I see fit. I like Launcher2 better than anything at the moment, and that is the main change that you will see. The phone should feel faster though with some of these tweaks. Please report back with results.
NOTE: I am not liable if you brick your phone! However, I will try to help fix it if you do. NAMELESS & Stock EC09 have had issues formatting SD Cards, so back up your SD Card before flashing! Just a precaution. This has only been tested on my phone so far!

Hopefully I don't sound stupid, but, is this just the rom or is everything included such as kernal, modem, ect..? And does this include any of the same bugs and such of that sort from NAMELESS?
Just asking so I know. Thank you for the rom. =]

This includes kernel. For a modem, use one of the EC's or ED's. Check my thread about EC09 for ODIN: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1132236. That is the official MODEM for this. Everything else is included in the package in the OP.
As far as bugs, I think I have fixed a few, but some persist like the auto rotate bug. See the OP for the official bug list. It will grow tomorrow as I find more things.
Thanks,
JP Tech

I haven't had an issue, but as this based off of NAMELESS, it suffers that same possiblility. Which recovery did you use and what were you coming from when your as went bad? Have you tried the card in the computer or another device?

I gave everyone credit. I asked navenedrob's permission to use NAMELESS. I gave credit to redeyes for graphics. I gave credit to Adrynalyne for framework. This is to make it easier for people to get all the latest dev from the irc. We were all workibg together on the irc to accomplish this. This is a community, and I am trying to give back for the general betterment of the phone and community. Sorry if that is not how someone perceives it.

I see nothing wrong with what you did at all, and I welcome it (since you gave credit). I don't have time to chill in IRC and apply random fixes. If someone can combine them into one ROM and support it, well then god damnit, I'll support you.
Not everyone is a developer, and not everyone wants or has time to kang stuff themselves. As long as you can positively contribute something to the community as a whole, it should be welcomed.

I understand giving credit to someone, but when you are posting a rom here in which NOTHING in it is your own work... it probably isnt your place to be posting it.
Easy fix for the for force close....
Found an easy fix for now at least to stop the force closing of the phone options power menu while trying to get into recovery, go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1132460 and download and flash one of the two files posted by SBRISSEN and it should fix the force closing hope it helps!! and thank you to all the devs out there that put so much of your time into making our phones great thank you soo much!!

You need to create the rom from Google's code. The I9100 rom will not work on are device. If his rom worked 100% and you installed on at&t sgs2 you would have no audio in calls, broken home & back buttons and wrong kernel. You would need his source code to edit the kernel & lib files to fix the issues. Why do all that when you have source code? Just start from scratch.

An AOSP bringup isn't that easy - there's a lot of vendor-proprietary **** there.
It is FAR easier to port an I9100 ROM to the I777 (see Hellraiser) than it is to do an AOSP/CM bringup (see the history of Cyanogenmod for the I9100 - CM for the I777 only required small changes because it's effectively a port from the I9100.)
I looked at the I9100 ROM - they're using a hacked-up 2.6.35 kernel for the time being, which puts it in "not worth my time".
If they get a 3.0 kernel bringup I'm going to start playing with it.

The way to read that is - expect an alpha or beta of CM9 for GNex or Nexus S in about 2 months.
It'll be much longer for any other device.

No.... there are different drivers and what not that need to be ported or built from scratch. there is no doubt we will get an ics rom on our device...it's just gonna take some time.
funny!
I started porting a i9000 GS2 rom this morning from the alpha posted, I also pm'd the rom creator for permission..
It DOES run on a ATT GS2, touch screen weriedness I couldn't seem to get into the system, vol keys work, wake works, I could get a few screens using the card buttons, no soft keys.. See screen shots..
anyone want to help me wioht this? It does seem like a good place to start, I'm not a n00b but this would be my first attempt at a port.

To solve SYSTEM UI error messages go setting and change language and ime to english..
Right yea, I just got that part set, I had a hard time figuring out what "finger" combo it was taking to select the items, I now have a "nandroid backup" of a ICS with usb debug enabled (so I can get adb yay), and no more ui quits.. but its still pretty useless without standard touch screen (meaning one finger not 2), the phone modem, sound, but wow I feel special.. one of the few running ICS (even for a few minutes at a time!)
restoring back to CM7...
anyone want to chime in wiht some ideas, next steps??
I just checked the "alpha 4" posted for the i9100.. basically the same results they are having.. I kind of feel like if I/we had the person who ported the CM7 rom to the ATT SG2 it could be done nearly lickety split, I mean it works ok, (aside from the 2 finger touch screen atm), it just needs audio/modem (well and wifi/bt lol) but all that is a "cake walk" for those guys, this is (well very exciting) a very "gray" area of what I have done in the droid community, and I'd rather be doing this on my A500 (but there is bairly a wisper on that board) as its not my phone that I really need working lol..
so I will prolly give up till smarter peeps come along since no one has offered to help me out...
I look forward to the developments. I hit cmd+r all too frequently lol

Ok guys, for all you people that are out there that love the CriskeloRom for the I9100 and wanted it on your I777, I am in the process of building it right now! I know I really like it and I am sure there are many fans out there. I need feedback before I complete the build tomorrow, what I want to know is what modem is the favorite out there right now and I will include that one in the ROM (of course anyone can always flash another modem but want to include a good one right off the bat). Personally I like the I777UCKJ4.
This will be using the Siyah kernel version 2.4.2 to start off with.
I will be uploading the ROM tomorrow after getting some feed back and include the link to the download here. In the mean time check out the link below to see more images and a full set of features of the ROM, it is a work of ART!

1) Place the rom on your SD
2) Backup your apps with Backup program of your choice!
3) Go into CWM and wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, dalvik cache, and format system (the format is optional but I always like to do it as I have seen older stuff carry over)
4) Install the zip file

Big fan of your work Sir
First off, thanks a great deal for putting in the necessary time needed to port this BADBOY I am running CM7 latest nightly + siyah atm. B
Believe will go back to JIvy's ICScrewed all as planned until launch of ICS, but it will be a big probability that i will flash this badboy!
+ latest Siyah port which I am sure will be quite impressive!

I am really loving the new found interest from our dev friends over in the i9100 dev forum! Love it. Keep up the great work man and thanks for bringing your rom over here. I have been using it since v29. Its very fast and very smooth and the siyah kernel is the perfect compliment

I9100 Version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168836
Installation Instructions (coming from another ROM)
1) Place the rom on your SD
2) Backup your apps with Backup program of your choice!
3) Go into CWM and wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, dalvik cache, and format system (the format is optional but I always like to do it as I have seen older stuff carry over)
4) Install the zip file
5) Reboot
6) Enjoy

Hey bro. You are not "building a rom". So I wouldn't try and take that kind of credit on some one else's rom dude. I have his rom working 100% and it took all of 2 minutes. Basically what you are doing is hellraising it (thanks to entropy). Not sure why you guys are clogging up the threads with other peoples roms when it can be done by anybody here on xda. Not trying to be a ****. But its the truth.

I wasn't talking credit for anybody's work and had permission from Criskelo to convert it to the I777 sense a couple of requests were posted in his thread and here for a I777 version and he doesn't have the phone to test. I thought people would like to have it, guess not. Anyway, just have a moderator delete the thread then sense I am clogging up the forum.

What I think you're failing to understand is that we have hellraiser thanks to entropy. People can have it if they want. There's no need for a thread. Otherwise we would have a million i9100 roms in our i777 forum bro. No need to take offense dude. All I was saying is this has been and can be done really easily already.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Good job man, are you now including a theme? Or does that come with one of the Options packages?
Can this be dirty-flashed over 10/10, or just cache/dalvik?
I see you've got your own recovery now. Is that the same as the "joker's v3 CWM" that everyone recommends, or something else?

Something else. Newer. Vers 6.0.1.5. I have flashed MIUI, CM10, and AOKP with it now....worked perfectly for it
Theme is just an example of one that is in the market (Cobalt)
If 10.10 is 4.1.2, then I would say yes. If it's still 4.1.1,then no, you would need to wipe all....just to be safe. I forgot which version of android 10.10 is...LOL

Okay, definitely checking out your recovery then. I really prefer TWRP (bunch of reasons, not just the touch) but if one works better than the other for some ROMs, no reason I can't go back and forth.
Kind of waiting for CNA (I know you're waiting on the dev) but CM10 10/10 is rock solid. And it's 4.1.2, I believe it was your first 4.1.2.
I knew you had a thing for Cobalt, but I'd only seen the red one. I just got one called "Elegant Green", it's okay but wasn't really what I was after. I might have to learn to theme and make my own, or just get ROM Toolbox. The default CM theme is fine, I'd just change all the cyan to a shade of green (I'm kinda bad with hex, but around #00DD30 is what I like).
Anyway, thanks again for your work on this. I can hit the Thanks buttons, but it needs to be said more. So, thanks. :good:
Thanks Bill for everything! Can you possibly include a changelog for the builds either on here or in goomanager? Thanks again!
Bill. What is the difference between your CWM vs. Joker's CWM v3? Just curious if its better to be flashing your CWM vs. Jokers for your CM10 ROMs. Thanks.

Not able to flash any rom
When I'm flashing any rom in the recovery an error comes "Can't open /emmc/name of the rom.zip(bad)"
Help please
Dirty flashed 10/28 over 10/10 (both JB 4.1.2 ROMs), everything seems to be in order. Data works, su works. (10/10 had been flashed clean after a "wipe all".)
Finally took your theme advice and installed Cobalt... Kiwi Cobalt. It's his green one. It's the best green theme I've used. I'm seeing a lot of elements from Mixer (or maybe Mixer borrowed from Cobalt) so it's not at all unfamiliar. Now I just need a nice dark brushed-metal wallpaper (currently on the one in the first screenshot) to complete my black-on-green look. Might also alter the wallpaper to have a green Cid instead of cyan (can one simply extract a wallpaper out of a wallpapers chooser pack like that?).
How come no real progress is being done with battery life? I'm running Bills's and Jokers roms from the beginning, I'm using GSM and I barely have any apps, I have only one google account synced and I barely get 8 hours if I don't use the phone at all, I thought it was related to the KDDI modem so I flashed back to stock, I now have the n_01.28.05s.fk modem and still same battery life.
Will the new drivers/kernel improve battery life? is any of Bills other JB roms (aokp, CNA, Paranoid) better optimized for battery life?

It is always best to "thank" the development thread OP, instead of posting "Thank you"..
Please keep discussion focused, on the topic described in the OP
FAQ
Q Why a special Q&A/T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm friendly asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A See the Developer's thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524691
Q How’s battery life?
A I see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest
kindest regards, Kuzibri

No, it's the same kernel which is in the previous built.
For you folks looking for a working camera/camcorder for this ROM see my thread in the Themes Apps forum. The older versions of the Famigo gapps (versions 7.1-8.0) install the photosphere camera and libs on any AOSP based (non-HTC-sense) JB-4.3 or KK-4.4 device. I tried that camera on this ROM and found it took excellent photos up to 8mpx and the camcorder worked up to 720p. Selecting any higher resolution caused lockups. I tried getting photoshere to work, but had issues with this ROM, but worked in the older JB version and on PACman ROM.
The links are in my thread, and be sure to thank the dev dotmaniac, for his work.
Ciao

The battery drain is the biggest problem I have with this rom.
Hello,
I'm having trouble getting Gapps to show up. I downloaded it through Settings>Evervolv>Updates>Gapps>kk44-20131126-core.zip and I installed it via CWM 5.0.2.0.
I installed it without wiping the data and cache, I installed it with wiping the data and cache, I installed it by rebooting into recovery and installing from zip.
My phone says I'm running Andriod 4.4, Kernel Version 2.6.38.8-evervolv-02122...., Mod version ev_bravo-4.0.0p2--turba, Build number ev_bravo-eng 4.4KRT16S....
The last rom I installed was on a HTC touch diamond (with a cool Hitman theme, hahaha) and that was a long time ago, so I apologize in advance if I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks for your help and thanks for your work on these ROMs.

There may be new gapps available, but as of today there is no newly updated version of this ROM since early Feb, and more importantly, still no ION support. In a post a page back @jeepers007 mentioned that sportsstar89's CM ION kernel doesn't work on this ROM and that he was working with another Evervolv dev who is trying to get a 3.4 ION kernel working instead.
Edit: It appears that TonyStark (Mods) moved this post and the one above that I quoted from their original location in the dev thread, so now it appears to make no sense, because there is no post from jeepers007 a page back from here. I wish the mods would have just deleted this post instead of moving it and making me look foolish for referring to a post which is nonexistent on this thread. The post I was originally referring to is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50044108&postcount=268
