I heard a new android Gmail version was released yesterday with new, pretty ui and enhanced ability to deal with emails directly from notification. However, Play is not showing an upgrade. I'm on a modified Gmail already, so I'm throwing this out there to see if others got the update.

What kernels are compatible with the stock rom? I know the stock kernel sucks because it's not customizable.
