What scripts work Eclipse 2.0.4? - Motorola Droid X2

I was considering flashing either speedy or v6 to the newest Eclipse rom. Do either of these wrok with it, and which would you suggest? Also, does the mash up build work with this?

V6 works and I am using options 7 and 20. Thanks to Ash for this tip.

I'm using V6 minus turbo 3g and V7 stacked together on my phone.

I'm running v6 super charge 512 HP with some script mods by motcher seems to be working well so far. Does any one know how to change the options on super charger can't seem to figure out

run the script again in script manager, then just choose the option(s) you would like to use...
to OP:
if you use v6supercharger make sure u edit the 99tweaks file that comes with eclipse(system/etc/init.d/99tweaks) and delete the lines referring to "memory management (minfrees oom groupings etc..)" they aren't hard to find...they are near top if script.
if using root explorer to edit, after u save changes be sure to delete the 99tweaks.bak that gets created.

[Q] Skipping music on GB?

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the skipping music on the rooted GB just like it was on Froyo?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
I'm on completely stock gingerbread, unrooted, and music skips constantly. I don't even have anything open. This is a terribly programmed phone.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
stock update, no issues as of yet, much smoother than 2.2 was in my experiance. Standard Music app.
Stock froyo - music was essentially unplayable
Rooted froyo with v6 supercharger - flawless music
Rooted gingerbread WITHOUT v6 supercharger - some popping and skipping, in general much better than froyo stock though.
Just curious, what format and bitrate are you playing. It seems not to matter on my end, mp3 at 320 kbs is usually just as bad as a 45 minute podcast that uses 8 megs of space (not sure of the bitrate, but probably 16-32kbs)
Just curious, after sbf finished, did you let the phone boot or wipe it before it booted? Did you wipe from recovery or from within the OS? I let it boot and did the wipe from within the OS. Curious to know what you did.

Im not sure what bitrate off hand but it is better then Froyo. I had to wipe from stock recovery before the phone booted after I sbf because it was in a boot loop.

I had major issues on Froyo stock and almost took the phone back because of it. V6 super cleared things up quick and only a slight hiccup at the beginning of the first song played IF the player was close previously.
GB skips a bit and then a lot more when trying to multitask but after upping the heap size that's completely gone.

Could someone please explain how to change the heap size. A few sentences about what that means would also be great. Thanks.

I used the app below for $1.50 and found it had some really neat stuff to boot so the price was worth it.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrummy.roottools&hl=en
If you open the app it's under Tweaks and Hacks, Build properties, and then Dalvik VM Heap. If you use the "get current vm heap size" it should returned 32 and i chose 36m.
Let me know how that works out for you guys...

You can edit it yourself but there's much more to the tool so i opted to pick it up and take the hassle out of modifying some other advanced settings.
Changing the heap size (to 36) did nothing for me, as I still get considerable amounts of popping during audio playback. Are there any other suggestions other than sbfing and installing the update again? Thanks.

That used to be a kernel issue on the fascinate. The clock freq. would be slow to ramp up during multitasking with audio playing. The fix was to prevent the cpu from dropping to 100mhz. But you had to have a clockable kernel.

Nice job. Before 2 megabit down and after 2.5 megabit down. Phone seems snappier too.
would this work in conjunction with the speedy scripts or are you supposed to use only one at a time?
I have it with speedy scripts and it seems faster with scripts, smoother with prop file, then faster AND smoother with both!

Anyone else have problems with wifi not auto connecting after boot? I have to go into wifi settings for my phone to connect. This occurs when wifi is on, data is off and i reboot. If someone could test this I'd appreciate it. Not sure if it's this or speedy as i flashed both at same time.

Go to the bottom, download the last attachment...I've that's a pdf, beta 9 6.3. Next go to market download script manager. open script manager, browse as root, then go to you're download location of the file and click on it. Within new menu, clock on SUn near top then click run. Follow the instruction and when all the option show up select option #9, super 1000 HP. Let it finish when the option show up again choose option 26 to reboot. Let it reboot etc. after it reboots open script manager then go to this directory: /data
Look for the 99 super charger.sh file that was created, select it. In new menu select SU and BOOT. Then click safe, then finally turn it off and let it reboot. And voila enjoy your super charged phone.... I noticed a HUGE IMPROVEMENT is sharpness and responsiveness.

Pretty much the same in AnTuTu and CF Bench for me. What is smoother is the overall UI experience. I don't do much gaming on the Note, I have a TF101 with emulators for gaming if I want to play some mobile games.
I used to run this on my Infuse but was not sure if I wanted to try on my new Note. With no CWM to do a Nandroid backup just in case.
Just installed it and it works great as usual!
Thanks for testing this out!
I'll post the pdf in a few

I used to use that on my dell streak and it worked.
I find that ROM TOOLBOX provides a more refined way to alter the OOM settings, plus you can increase SD card speeds, access build.prop, sys ctl tweaks - plus u can run them at bootup too... It's a lot easier - give it a try
i followed the instructions. Can someone explain what this actually does, in English?
This thread should be moved to Development.
Does seem to make the device more responsive. I can actually use ADW EX launcher again. Before I did this it had considerable more lag. Now it's almost like using a custom ROM on my SkyRocket.
u have to be rooted though?
i didnt really want to root until CWM and roms are out
and something to prevent triangle and flash count
Root is required to run script manager.
Works great on my Note. Helped to smooth it out and give it a litttle more speed.
When I was on the Infuse a lot of the DEV's included it in their ROM's
changes the out of memory (OOM) settings - androids native task manager - helps keep your launcher in memory too, most ppl will notice that you see ReDraws a lot less and smoother/snappier scrolling

would'a been nice to know ahead of time, tx for posting Dave.
needs to be moved to AT&T Galaxy Note I717 Android Development i agree.
I used the Super Charge Script on my Epic and Epic Touch so I am familiar with how it makes the device smoother/snappier. But I do have a question. If you have programs like Facebook, Wordfeud, weather apps, timelines, etc., set to check for updates and alerts say every hour, will this kill them to free up RAM and keep you from receiving updates? I never seemed to have any problems with my Epic, but want to know for sure how it works.

To elaborate on what others have said, you only need root because you only need to be able to access the location of where the boot animation resides.
I believe there are two locations you can change, though I have always done so at /system/media.
