Which rom fits me - Optimus One, P500, V General

I need a good and stable rom, with a good batery life
Currently i'm on oldbaseband (should i switch to the new BB ? )
For my needs, the battery and stability are more important than performance

For old BB use Miks 6.5.8 then flash fserve .32 kernel for more bat life and stability
For New BB Good bat life.. try OXygen rom

u can easily upgrade ur baseband. there are many tut. about that, for me new BB is better in signal.

Baseband is a radio,I radio spl image..back when things like amend scripting were popular with eclair 2.1..a (baseband-radio) allows for mobile data/wifi to work....I haven't heard anything about battery backup for basebands, some users say 3g signal on v20g (new baseband) is stronger, some say it isn't...

I would recommend bytecode's openoptimus rom on the new baseband.

google for oxygen v1.1
its Old bb and was the stablest simplest and fastest ROM IMHO.
though if u would be ready to change to new BB, try the cm7 nightlies (better customizations) or oxygen (smoother)

They're both great developers and the rom are pretty much similar... I prefer a bit more andy's one but there are not that much bugs nor substantial differences between roms... As far as the battery life andy and franco are working on the .35 kernel and I think we will have no more problems about it
i tested andy's and mik's roms and i have to say that andy's rom is what i need.
I have used both Andy's and Mik's ROMs and I feel that Andy's ROM is visually more pleasing than Mik's. I observed that Mik's ROM gave more battery backup than Andy's but it can vary from device to device.
To put it in one word, Both ROMs are Brilliant.
thanks a bunch for you guys opinions. but I will flash andy gb rom anyway tonight bcause many said it has a very good battery life

6.6.1 is experimental and is not stable but you can try it.
Link for franco's kernel for gingerbread is here:

you might want to stick with v6.5.7 with franco's v19 kernel. If you want something stable for now.

yes, you should be able to use gprs on miks rom both v6.6.1 and v6.5.7. See the channel logs for this rom on the 3rd post. As far as I know, data and gprs will not be available if you have the new baseband installed (v20 something) since the roms are for v10.

1. you can't get the old baseband back if you are already on v20.
2. it is not built in on any ROM, it is flashed via update on the PC
3. You can opt to do so... usually yields good results when flashing a modified kernel over the original one given by the ROM's creator (i.e. mik's CM7 uses franco's v18 in one of his builds which could be updated to v19 and the experimental build uses franco's gingerbread kernel.)
Quoted from Mik:
Q: I flashed rom and GSM don't works. What's to do?
Q: I have new baseband, how fix gsm? (you have new baseband if you upgraded your phone to official 2.3.3)
A: Flash this: gsm fix (support for new baseband, this is not baseband itself).
WARNING: Data don't works, wait for new fix.

yup it doesn't make sense... you can switch to mik's, you should not have the new baseband. You are already using ROMs that are using the v10 baseband, you don't need to worry about anything else.
Read the first few posts of the ROMs threads to understand what the roms are and what you need to do before flashing them.. again... READ... can't stress this enough since I myself am getting sluggish at it.

Who knows... These people flash random 5 ROMs a day, stock Froyo, then custom GB, then stock GB, CM7 and in the end they go complain about no data, blaming the ROM.
As said on the howto, the LGMDP utility will always tell you which baseband you have (v10?/v20?)

[Q] Best Cynogenmod Rom for battery backup

Hi,
I am currently using NightlyFourE Based 4.1 New Baseband ROM. After installing i am facing huge battery drain. I tried installing PerfectPeso.v1.7a rom also but its doing the same. I hardly get 7-9 hours of battery backup. Even when the phone is idle it drains 1% every 2-3 minutes, i have wiped batter stats after installing the ROM. Before i was using the default LG Gingerbread 2.3.3 stock ROM with atleast 19-24 hour backup with same use.
Can anyone suggest me a cynogen rom which will give me more battery backup, Please suggest suitable kernel for battery backup.
Suggest android version is 2.3.7 but can use 2.3.3 also. Also provide the link as multiupload doest seem to work anymore.
Mobile- LG Optimus One

I cant say but i didnt changed the default kernels these ROM installed.

NO not kernel prob.. pp 1.7a uses ta-gb while nfe 4.1 stock kernel..
so problems might be.. one of your fave application.. test rom without installing anything
But still if any one want to suggest me the best rom for the best battery backup ill be thankful
The best ROM is the one that you test and see if it fits to you.
Please don't ask wich is better.

[Q] Which rom/kernel for the best battery life?

Hello
They are a lot of rom so i don't know whick rom i should use, i'm actually in Cyanogen RC1 : http://get.cm/?device=p500 with stock kernel. And i find that the battery life is very poor
So i need you for help me please
So i should use what rom and kernel?
Thanks
EDIT: I have the new BB
you can try oxygen rom. many users say it has a good battery life.
I already use Oxygen i found that it's not very good
oxygen rom with stock kernel is best battery life for me, then cm7 + roq kernel
Oxygen with franco.kernal #4 gives excellent battery life..

But i test cyanogen with this kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572567

Try to use franco kernel conservative or roq kernel with thachtungahn ts drivers
http://www.mioptimusone.com/foros/showthread.php?tid=646
In my opinion, roq kernels are very good!
If you want more performances, try pp kernel
http://perfectpeso.x.gg/
It's quite good too, maybe a bit less battery friendly
Of course, tin order to increase performances, you have to flash some tweaks, you can find them here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529777
I guess u can try something like a modified stock version.
Ex: Resurrection, Optimus1 origins etc,,, which not only give you better battery life but also the feel of a custom ROM. I personally like the Optimus1 Origins 2.1 version as it is quite stable.
Sooner or later, everyone should realize that no rom is perfect as the definition of perfect varies for everyone. With that being said, a stock rom (or a slightly modded one) would be very suitable.

Best Rom for Battery Life?
The Talhos Rom GTR is the best so far, anyone think the same?
Tested many kernels......
I have tested many kernels and stock based roms......
I think Dynamite 4.5G and ta-gb 1.2 is the best combination...
Also DjNoxd kernel works well....
Franco kernel gives gr8 battery life.....but has bugs like random boots and storage card not detecting wen exit frm mass storage mode.....(can use if u want battery and have wifi to exchange files)
RoQ kernel is gr8 performance but battery life is not that good....(gr8 for gaming)
I recommend dynamite bcoz it is already tweaked and camera n other stock apps work gr8....

That's why I use Optimus Origins 2.0 version (sorry as I said 2.1 earlier by mistake) The latest update has that force close bug but the 2.0 is pretty smooth. And regarding APN, you just need to send a message to your operator in order to get the apn settings and once you get it, you can back it up for future use.
I use Optimus Origins 2.0 with the ICS theme (created for Dynamite) and I can't ask for more
+1 for Dynamic rom 4.5G. The battery life so good.
