This is my third Android phone ( i have aa LG Optimus One P 500 and a Samsung I9000 Galaxy S) and I look everywhere fora custom kernel for this phone, but with no luck. So, I know that somwhere in this world exista few guys that right now develop a few kernels for Galaxy 5. All I did was to open this topic so they can psot here links to their alpha relese, beta relese and final relese of their kernels. Of cours, I you know a link to a kernel for this device, you can put it here.
Good luck to everyone of you!
Here is my request for a new kernel on MadTeam Forum... http://www.madteam.co/forum/requests-27/(kernel)-standalone-kernel-for-stock-rom-or-custom-2-2-froyo-roms/
I'm not a real developer but for my 2nd device (Galaxy y GT-S5360) is a kernel (Merruk's kernel:thumbup: ) which is in my opinion the best kernel on android. But i don't know if porting a kernel is possible

Poring kernel is possible but i don't think much guys do that for galaxy 5.
Galaxy 5 have much custom roms but only few custom kernel (which are basicly included in rom).
I know that most phones have separated kernel and rom but i don't know why it is dofferent for galaxy5.
So I'm an owner of a Galaxy Y with custom Kernel Merruk's 2.5 which I can overclock to 1,2 GHz and its a great kernel with many features
Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926456
The Thanks button won't eat your mouse or fingers if you press him
Is there any way through which we can overclock CM9 alpha 11 or related roms which are based on CM9 alpha 11
My device is SAMSUNG GALAXY SL GT-I9003
plzzz rep. fast.....

Both r good since the base for both the kernels are same ma8
2.does kernel siyah support dualbooting Jelly Bam rom with my stock samsung 4.0.3 ?
Yes,it does support dual booting JB and ICS for u but the JB rom(jelly bam preffered by u) should be the latest release which has the new mali driver
3.If it supports dualbooting these amazing roms beside eachother , how can I dualboot them easily?
u can see this fantastic guide for dual booting by @phistacio, fallow the instruction in the first post carefully to have a successfull dual boot on ur phone
Dorimanx is based on Siyah but Dorimanx has more tweaks.
Hi,
I would like to install an Android 4 ROM on my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i, currently running 2.3.6 Gingerbread. After a lot of research I've narrowed my choice down to two ROMs, but still can't decide which one is best: Maclaw's GalaxyICS, or Jellaxy?
My main concern is speed... Which of the two is faster? Maclaw's ROM is based on CM9 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and Jellaxy is based on CM10 (Jelly Bean). Does this mean Jellaxy is slower?
Could anyone who has tried both ROMs or who has knowledge on this subject enlighten me please?
Thank you
both roms are for galaxy ace 5830, the normal ace..!!
those roms aren't for our abnormal ace 5830i !!
however if you want jellybean on your phone i suggest you should try jellyblash or simplicity v4...
you can find other many roms for our device on galaxy ace 5830i development section..take some time, have a look at the screenshots, read reviews and decide what fits you best.!!
Good till now u haven't installed them cos u don't have these roms on our device
They are from s5830 not S5830i which makes a huge difference
So buddy
Flash simplicity
And if u own s5830 then wrong section

There is no android 4 rom for our phone yet. Only gingerbread available.
NOOOOOOOOOO! :crying:
I Just realised how foolish I was when researching these ROMs. I assumed they were compatible with the S5830i because it said "Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, S5830i, Ace II" at the top of the XDA threads... I overlooked the fact it then narrowed it down to just the S5830.
Thank you for telling me though guys, I would probably have flashed the S5830 ROM and bricked my device if you hadn't told me this.
I'll take a look in the development section for S5830i, thanks for your help!

This is the GT-S5830 Section
1. WRONG SECTION MATE!!
2. Android 4.0 is Ice Cream Sandwich not Jelly Bean
3. Galaxy Ace has an ARMV6 processor... it can produce some incompatibiity with some apps
4. Read carefully all the OP Thread maybe be it's a THEMED ROM based in a STOCK, so Android 2.3.x
you flashed a GB firmware/rom.. we dont have jellybean, only GB,ICS and KitKat... your romis probably just a heavily themed GB Rom,.
