I have a Milestone X2 running 2.3.6. Just recently rooted it and I have done an nandroid back up. I flashed Eclipse 2.0.4 on my phone and I checked the wifi and it just says, "Error". I select it again and try to check the box and it does not work.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this?
If I recall correctly, Eclipse 2.0.4 runs on 2.3.5 and that may be the source of your problems.
Yep. Yep. Yep
Yeah, I was noticing there were several other things that did not work either. I just nandroid back to stock for right now.
Thank you for a quick response.

I can't seem to get Update All to work. I am rooted on cyanogen mod 7, running 2.3. When I click Update All most of the downloads/installs fail. and the eris is dog slow. Do I need to go back to updating one app at a time?
My Eris just hung then rebooted trying to use Update All. Oh well.
You don't say which ROM.
I had that problem with GSB, but I do not with CondemnedSoul's CM7 ROM. (Though, to be fair, GSB would eventually all update if I just kept doing it.)
here's my problem:
when ever i leave phone to be in deepsleep mode,
i cam back to find it looking for GSM signal with no hope, restarting fixing the signal.
tried diffrent roms, CM7, MIUI,with all kind of kernels nothing works
phone condition is fine, did't drop it or hardware issues on it.
was working great for last 6 months, but after i flashed a ton of diffrent CM roms this starts to happen,
my thoughts:
could it be a NVdat.bin issue doing this?
if so, what i can do to let the phone re build fresh ones,
+ i have old backup of EFS folder.
can you share your thoughts please?
I had the same thing happened to me and my friend's phone in the last week. Both running the ported gingerbread roms. Had to Odin back and finally working. Not sure if it was the Rom or something. My phone says it shows a baseband of UVKB5 which is the correct modem.
Finally flashed back to froyo and had it working, now just reflashed a gingerbread rom and it's working again.

will try this option today and give a feedback.
thank u
Edit:
odining back to JFD solved the problem.
The widget clock pops up when I plug it into the dock, but when I open the lapdock it reboots the phone. I can occasionally get the Webtop to boot, but soon after the phone reboots.
I only found one other post with a similar problem, and a fix wasn't posted in that thread. I also went through the trouble of checking other forums and I found even less.
I am currently running Wet Dream 1.2.0, although I have tried 1.2.1 and 1.3.0 and I still have the same problem. Completely wiped every time I flashed new ROMs. I tried reflashing Webtop Fruitcakes 2.3.4, 2.3.5, and 2.3.6. Tried Faux123's 1.0 GHz and 1.3 GHz kernels.
I am an empty shell of a human being without my lapdock.
Please help.
I have also flashed back to stock and re-unlocked and tried reinstalling my rom, it did not fix the issue.

Hmmmm, that sucks. You may have a fugged up lapdock. If going back to stock rom and stock webtop don't work...idk. Can you return the lapdock? Or maybe go to a bestbuy or something and hook your phone to a lapdock and see what happens?
I flash **** left and right, one time I had reboots plugging into the lapdock, but it was on kholks kernal. BUT, a wipe and reinstall fixed it.
sounds like your lapdock is screwed IDK, good luck man!
I'm currently on UnNamed 2.2.1 with the 2.3.6 OTA Update (of course) UCKK6.
I would like to roll back to UnNamed 1.3.2 and the Original 2.3.4 / UCKH7.
All the searching and reading of posts has me in an easiest method tailspin.
I have a JIG so no worries on the flash count (I think this still works on 2.3.4).
I have mobil odin installed as well as root, superuser, CWM.
Am I just stressin, or can I just install "update-unnamed-v1.3.2-full.zip" via CWM?
Will I need a full wipe / App Reload?
I'm just trying to regain my bluetooth keyboard functionality. Mandatory for my travels. Battery improvements would be a bonus.

Yup, just wipe and flash.
You guys are the best!
Hoping to avoid the wipe, but 2 wipes and a plus = I'm gonna wipe!
Cheers!!!
I'm also trying to prevent the loading of the 2.3.6 OTA updated.
I thought this was a diagonal double arrow icon but I do not see it anymore.
Also not seeing Device Manager as referenced in similar posts.
Anyone have a sure fire way to stay on 2.3.4 (at least until ICS).
Happily back to 2.3.4 and about to test my mini bluetooth keyboard.

It won't update if device management has been removed. I believe GTG removed it a while ago.
On an unrelated note, how do you like your Tab 10.1? I'm about to pick one up.
Mostly the kids machine.
2yrs,5yrs,11yrs old.
Dropped on several occasions without a case and still running strong.
I guess the fingerprints on the screen don't bug anyone but me.
The 2 & 5 year old boys I could understand, but the 11yo girl????
We need a new tub of screen wipes I guess.
The screen is significantly slower than the SGS2, but otherwise no issues at all with the wi-fi only version. Kids are watching netflix with it all the time.

I was wondering why I couldn't find it. Great news. Now I feel safe proceeding with the full app(s) rebuild.
YEEEEE HAAAAA
My Bluetooth Keyboard is Back!
Arrow Keys, Backspace, Right and left mouse buttons and a real live mouse cursor!
As far as Tab 10.1 - I love mine. Task650's ROM is great.
Which reminds me, I need to backup, wipe, and update. I'm on an ancient version of it.

Hey Simba just wondering, is there any reason you're using 1.3.1 instead of 1.3.2? Is it just b/c theres nothing significantly new in 1.3.2?

Right. 1.3.2 only removed a couple of unnecessary lib files if I remember correctly. It also deleted some ringtones/notifications. I never officially went to it (I may have wanted those tones or something idk lol). I just deleted the lib files myself.
I'm running UCKH7 Stock Rooted and Entropy512 DD and would like to try UnNamed 1.3.2, but the download link is no longer working. Can someone send me a copy of the file?
Thanks
I have updated to 2.3.5.418.
I have a few question about it. So far, there is no way that I can go back to 2.3.4 or previous version via sbf, correct? So am I stuck with 2.3.5.418 and Eclipse 2.2?
I am asking this because my wifi on phone is connecting and disconnecting every 5 second.
I am on 2.3.5.418 as about phone tells me.
What fix can I do?
Also I have battery % problem... When I reboot, the battery percentage changes. What can I do for this problem? I can't download GB battery fix, and even if I could, it is not intended for 2.3.5...
I would like to get answer for both problem. Thank you.

No. For whatever reason, Motorola did not prevent SBFing back to previous releases with this soak test or the previous 2.3.5 leak. You can go back to 2.3.4 if you prefer.
The battery GB battery fix *does* work for 2.3.5, you just have to manually push it thru ADB. Check out the thread.
As far as the wifi issue, I'd recommend flashing 2.2 again. Wipe big 3, etc. I haven't seen any issues with wifi connectivity since I've been on 2.2. If it persists, you might want to start from a blank slate, going from a clean 2.3.4 sbf.
I thought the gb battery fix was already present in Eclipse? At least, at one point I thought it was, unless Motorola re-introduced it with this latest patch.
Grrrr Motorola!!!
Sent from my Eclipsed 2.2 phone.
I can't remember exactly, but I believe it was initially *suspected* the battery fix was in 2.3.5 and then after a few days it was confirmed so we had to re-apply the batt fix again. It's also probably compounded by the fact that people are coming from a fresh 2.3.4 sbf.

Well, I can attest to the fact that Motorola reintroduced the battery bug with this latest OTA. After flashing Eclipse 2.2, I used peppermints battery fix and all is right in the eclipse 2.2 world. I also let nitro know about it.

Thank you for quick response.
After reboot, wifi became better, after reboot... No idea what happened, but it doesn't refresh every 5 second.
Now for the battery issue. I cannot acquire GB file, as megaupload is down. (RIP megaupload) And I have no idea what is ADB.
So is there anyone willing to guide me through the battery fix? Flashable zip file would be even better for me. (less likely that I will screw that one up)
Thanks once again.
P.S. I see there has been issue about zergrush root. I am eclipse 2.2 with zergrush root. Should I be worried?

Yes. The update won't install because Zergrush moves some system files. You'll need to SBF back to 2.3.4 and root with Pete's Motorola tools, install voodoo root keeper, backup root, install the update and then run voodoo keeper to reenable root.

It was with the leaked 2.3.5, but I and many others have seen the issue. Once I've applied peppermints battery bug fix, the issue goes away.
Nice going, Motorola. >

bah, I was all ready to challenge you on this one, cause I had seen stability between boots, and even seen it go down. Today I thought I'd test again and it just went from 88 to 99 ;(
how the heck did they not bother to fix that? It was one of the bigger issues noted on the soak test boards for 2.3.4
