[Q] add swype to rom? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I installed rebel rom and I like it but it does not have swype, can I flash it on to the rom?

Probably, or just sign up for the Swype beta and download it.

I prefer Slideit. But for sure you can find it in the webpage: http://beta.swype.com/
Just try to search on Google

I have Swype Beta installed and it works like a charm.
The only issue I have is that when the phone is turned off, it is disabled. I have to go to the language settings, activate it and then choose it as input method.
But I can write quickly using it.
Go keyboard have swype, it is worse/better?

[Q] Gapps on roms

If I install a rom such as pure ics and install the Gapps file from cm9 thread, will it give me aosp apps such as dialer and contacts?
If not, is there any aosp rom or one that looks like galaxy nexus? I don't like cm9, but I like its aosp apps and general non Samsung feeling

No. It'll just install gmaps and the market, etc. Download cm9, unzip it and extract the phone/sms/whatever apk and put them in your system/app folder, then reboot.

That won't work as AOSP messaging and dialer etc won't work with the standard Samsung framework.

So what from besides cm9 can give me a good aosp experience?
