hi guys whats up
okay today i used my Walkman camera to capture some pictures
then i want to move it to my computer and when i moved them
i open one of them and it was very small like the mobile screen size
and all pictures are the same size and the pictures dosnt look like
5mp its like 3.2mp so any idea here how to solve this and there a
picture here so you can see what i mean
Open the camera app and on the left side/top(depending, how you are holding your phone), there is a bar with options. There you can choose, how many MP. It should be a small box with 5M, 3M or 2M next to it.

Try repairing your phone's software via Sony Ericsson Update Service, http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1309763183/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.7.13.exe.
Seems like software fault then.
thanx again i have knowed the problem solution and its all about the big pictures
are in 100android / dcim file and the small one is in the tumbles / dcim

Hi guys,
It seems that the picture quality of Xperia Arc is better than XS, I am not able to focus properly and pictures and not looking sharp !!!
I am using 9MP.
sent from seXperia S
Try Camera360 app in play store, I always used it on Arc, bought Xperia S a few days ago, mine takes good photos I use 12mp, haven't tried 9mp. Always try using as lower ISO as possible, higher ISO rates produce more noise, also avoid AUTO SCN setting, always use custom ones for better results. I use Mutli-Auto Focus setting since touch focus wont work right. If you find holding your hand still while taking picture try using stabilization. I liked Xperia S camera but I miss Burst mode of Cyber-Shot cameras. Hope I helped
I sm using following setting on XS:
Mode NORMAL
Scenes OFF
Flash OFF
Resolution 9MP
Focus Mode SINGLE AUTO FOCUS
ISO 100-200 depending on condn.
Capturing Mode ON SCREEN BUTTON
m good at photography but somehow I am not pleased with XS cam quality :banghead:
I assume you've checked that the lens is nice and clean.
Why are you using onscreen button though ? the dedicated button works just fine and you can half press it to get it to attempt a focus lock auto focus doesn't always get it right first time, particularly on single point rather than multi point

Everything is Ok..
from xperia PLAY (enjoying N.O.V.A.3)
Strange how some say the Arc is better than the S. I have an Xperia P and not an S but I'm quite pleased with its photographs.
I personally use the touch focus and shoot option. This way my phone doesnt move at that final moment when I'm about to click. Previously whenever I used the hardware button the phone shook a bit on the final click creating somewhat comparatively blurry images.
can anyone help me, I have a problem with my sg3 camera when I go to take a picture the auto focus always red, never turns green!

Are you getting a clear picture on screen, does it look blurry or obscured. If the think you what to photograph is a dark object that can cause probs with auto focus as well. You might have dust under the lens cover that can also cause lock on problems.

PROBLEM WITH OTHER CAMERA apk
My problem is that , my stock camera apk(ICS) is working properly but it takes long time to take that snap.
I tried to install other camera applications but i found that ever application displays "INVERTED SCREEN" (When the Camera id ON).
After clicking on the button (to take the snap) it automatically reverts back and shows Correctly in the Gallery..
Pls Help...
screenshots - 1) Before taking Shot by the camera
2) After taking shot by the camera
I would like to see the whole photo for a few seconds after I take it. How do I get this functionality?
On my old phone the Camera app would show a still of the photo after I took it. This helped with 2 things: It confirmed I took the photo, and I could tell if I needed to reshoot. Instead it shows in a tiny box in the corner. I came back from a trip and many photos are blurry. I have scoured the settings and it is not very obvious if this functionality is available. Is there a setting that can enable it?
Stock camera doesn't do preview, use a different app like CameraZoom from the play store if you can't live without it- it gives same quality picture but with more options to choose from.
I take several pictures then delete the ones that are blurry or people have their eyes closed etc. The stock camera has a best picture setting that does a similar thing.
I recently got my Radar and when I try to take a picture, the camera simply does not focus. I´ve tried everything, but nothing works. Is my camera broken or is this maybe a software issue?
Mostly a Windows Phone thing...
To focus on certain objects, tap them on your touchscreen and it will take the picture.. (This might be disabled in settings)

when u use the camera key, there are 2 press, when u press a little bit the camera adjusts the focusing and let u know on screen that the square brackets turn from WHITE to GREEN or they stays stable, then full press the camera button.....! u will have a clear shot.....! no software bug or no camera problem its just a button operating system......!
I know about the shutter button and the touch to pic, but the thing is that when I half press the button the white square appears but it doesnt focus as in nothing happens. For example when I want to take macro pic, it shows it focused when actually it didnt
when I am trying to capture a photo in white font (like notes in paper) the camera is shaking (like the old cameras with the computer screen). Can I fix it in camera settings?

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what this means. You mean the camera won't focus, and the pics come out blurry?
Just tried it, and I have no issues taking a photo of a note on white paper. It focuses very quickly, and the pic is clear with just the default settings. Perhaps try to experiment with the camera distance (holding the camera closer or farther) or better illumination.
