In that case, surely this is stock behaviour for that icon??
I've never seen anyone post a question about this icon, and I suspect it's because it's an icon that's not visible for any length of time and can be cleared as soon as all DLs are done - seconds, not minutes.
Each to their own of course, but is it really such a big deal?

[THEME]m9 with a touch of miui \einherjar dev/

this theme has taken a decent about of time to put together. my own little project.
mix of miui images and images for the meizu m9 roms.
this can be flashed over most jl5 builds as i included most everything to get it working. also includes a font change.
will post some screenshots later
work in progress will get better and mature and will go in a completely different direction that m10. this mainly for that rom for people who want accurate battery mods and such. but yeah. any questions ask. i feel like im rambling. probably will update this daily as im never not changing things. suggestions will help it mature out of alpha faster as i dont notice everything
credits go to:
whitehawks for the multi lockscreens and power off options menu
untermench for the guide and too much to name
jellette for getting most of the images together and starting the main project
bergertime cause he is tight as ****
sonnysekhon for some pngs i use from his lucid theme
sombionix and teamwhisky for services.jar and policy.jar files that i used.

any screens?
some screenies would help

Yes it works with nero 4.x
You don't have to flash if you don't want to lol or if you don't want things you can take them out of the zip before you flash

the notification bar IS transparent. the thing is that with not stock launchers (ambient time, launcherpro, adw...etc) they use the status bar app background png, which is solid black. unless u use a live wallpaper. i cant do anything about that yet cause it makes the status bar invisible in other appps
Awesome theme, thanks much!
i have another question can u flash over a battery mod that im already using or would this be a problem

+ 1 the the thread members suggest to change rom, but my kontr suggestion is to review the effect of transparency on various apps that were not designed with traparency in mind.

I wrote about this in the rom's thread, and it's not WINNING, it's a bug report. I choose that rom for the sake of transparency, but i consider it to be a bag, when I have white text on main menu of battery monitor widget, and the same white text on submenues, which overlap the text of main menu thus making it unusable. You cannot read two lines of text positioned on top of each other, and the same size, the same color. This app is not part of a rom, it's from the market and I guess it's not the only app that has this issue. So, this is bug report which gets ignored and people who raise this issue, get rebuked. Don't be a jerk help to solve issue to those who REALLY like this rom.

@v2mgm I'm not calling you a jerk, this is general reply to xda members who forgets what they are here for. I actually thank you for trying to help at least somehow.

thanks for the update sir nims,by the way your ROM is awesome
I agree that this rom is very awesome, no complains. The transparency is also great and unique, but in other part some text cannot be seen, is there a fix for the text only? coz the theme and UI itself is really decent for me. Thanks

How can I add battery percentage to my status bar?

I'd like to be able to add some sort of battery percentage to my status bar that flows with the ICS theming (I have a Droid Pro running a CM9 port).
Does anyone have any advice?

I've read that, but I'm not quite sure what I need to go to get it going. Can I just download a Cyanogen them and upload that APK? Is that all that's required?

No, for cm you have to upload a theme apk. So an example would be cyanbread. You would upload one of those themes.

I thought all of the ROMs had some bugs as well until I installed RC6. Runs way nicer than my phone did stock. Much faster, dramatically less force closes, etc.
I think you're better off just running this with saurom rather than expecting someone to custom make this for you.
ok cool,,now ics is out,,i gotta check that out,,lol

Which file, plz?
Google is your friend:
http://mobilecon.info/transparant-status-bar-in-android.html
So using this dirty tutorial, make the .png files transparent yourself and place back in the apk then reflash or find the equivalent files in say the Miui framework-res.apk file, extract them, then add them to your stock framework-res.apk file using 7zip/winrar etc and flash/copy back.
Will take you 5 mins and teach you much about theming any aspect of your framework with out having to recompile applications.

Yes, tried it but doesn't work that way on Xperia. Seems that systemui has something to do with it.
Also tried the files from MIUI Rom, didn't work either.
Ah, crap.
I've heard of ways to do it on Gingerbread but not on ICS.
I've noticed using Miui and having a clear status bar but then using another launcher causes the status bar to go black.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
It's not just changing some pngs, there is smali edits and some value edits to drawables.xml. I made it for CM9, but I did not manage to edit incoming notification color, so it did not look so nice. (notification_header_bg in drawables.xml. I guess it needs a smali edit, but I did not find it..). And in stock Sony firmware the mod messes up the whole statusbar.
so until now there is no Transparant Status Bar for XS , right ?
i miss my transparant status bar on my ray ... :crying: :crying:
