Hi, new member here. Picked up my Rogers Note a couple days ago and loving it.
Quick question, I cant find any way to increase the text size from within the Android browser. My searching just brings up the text size setting within the browser, but for whatever reason I dont seem to have it on mine.

Hey sorry I cant help you and Im new here too but there is other forums for you version of the Note which Im sure they have a lot more answers than you might get here. This is for the US Att Note.

It's pretty much the same Note, with a few exceptions. OP, wait until tonight. Most or our Notes here in the States are still on delivery trucks. In a few hours you'll have a lot more fellow North American Note users.
edit: there are also other browsers like Firefox, Aurora, Opera Mobile, etc. for Android.
Try this:
Start your browser
press the menu button and select settings
Under default zoom, select close
Make sure you check Auto-fit pages which formats pages to the screen if available.
Not all page default to this setting but if you doble tap it will zoom and fit.
I have messed with the settings on the browser an find I like this setting the best.
Check out Dolpin HD. There's a setting to change the default text size.

Hi All,
I've been searching the whole forums and looks like everyone else got no problem except mine.
I can't use multi-touch or double tap to either zoom in or out on Hero browser. When I use two fingers to squeeze in, the brower was squeezed in. But, it'll back to normal when I released.
The font size is too small. I changed text size in properties but, it doesn't change apparently. Even after refresh the page.... it's still the super small font.
It doesn't have zoom functions in properties either.
Should I send my Hero to service center after 2 days of use.
I live in singapore and just bought it 2 days ago. I've been logging into this forum for so many times to find answer about android.
Really thinking of exchanging with HTC Diamond 2.
I was Omnia user previously and Hero doesn't turn out to be the way I want.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have found the infos by watching one youtube clip. I used to surf only mobile webs and it can't be zoomed. Thus, I tried to surf destop version of Yahoo! and boom it can zoom by multi-touch.
But, it's really small font to see for mobile websites. Text size in properties doesn't change the view either.

first of all daniel.winn.android don't be rude cause what you said about JBNAquatics is plain rude! second mobile website are just the mobile versions of the website for example if you go to urbandictionary on your phone and look at the url when viewing it in your hero you'll see www.urbandictionary.com/iphone << that is the mobile version that has been optimized to be view on mobile phone and you can't multi touch it, to stop viewing websites in there mobile versions youu'll need to do this
open the browser/menu/more/setting/ untick mobile view

What I was trying to say is that in Omina, I can still zoom in and out even when I view mobile version sites. But, Hero lacks in it.
But, anyway, I think I have to bear with this small font in Hero as long as I'm using it.
hmmmm text size hmmmm, well to increase the text size you'll need to do this
open the browser/menu/more/setting/ scroll down to text size
Hopefully this will make it more comfortable for you
Just check, in your post you said 'Squeezed in', in the hero this is zooming out (move your fingers closer together). to zoom in move your fingers away from each other.
I know you might flame me for that but just checking.

That is actually a good point to make since it does fit the description but I highly doubt Daniel does not know the difference.

Okie... I played around and found out another thing.
For mobile site, there isn't anyway to change text size since it's already optimized for mobile.
The test size does make difference only on desktop version sites.
Thanks all... I think I need to play with my Hero for another 1 or 2 weeks to know better how it works.
Im comming from another manufacturer so im not familjar with sammy and their phones. Im making this thread for those who have any questions on some how to things in hopes some people can answer.
How do you change the order of your bookmarks and actually have them save the way tou like them. Everytime i click save it reverts back to factory way.
Also is there a way to share a photo while being on the web without downloading the pic first.
When on the internet, do i have to scroll all the way up to the top of the page to see the www bar?
Is there a way to set all default dialing numbers to mobile?
It also seems like such a long process to search for someone in the phone tab and then to actually call them. Im use to sense, the process was much shorter and simpler.

Hello all, just updated my to ATT/ICS last week and thought this feature was to be included in the 4.0? After searching here for a bit I can't find any info. Wondering is there a way to do this with out rooting the phone or running a different launcher. TIA

that feature is available on Google's version of ICS, which is AOSP, but also in AOKP/CM9, I have AoCP from The Collective Team and I have full screen caller id, if you're running stock , well that's AT&T/Samsung's fault for not adding it to their dialer, you can try this app out and see if you like it, I don't think you need root for it or anything else. good luck

Looked through all the options I can find in CM9 (h0tw1r3, not the official CM9) and can't find anything about it.
I don't have contact pictures for 75% of my contacts, and the ones I do have are seemingly tiny images that look terrible on the Note full screen.

the moment someone woudl sync with google .. there server saves the pics very samll so it woudl look bad for everyoneanyway.. thatfeature has been present on htc devices for a long time and i had a mod on my previous samsung phone rom to allow big pictures full res ,but you woudl have to NOT sync google contacts automaticallly and save them to vcard on your phone so you can reload the full res pictures , this issue has been on going since the first android device go look at google 's error reports youll see tht threads is thousands of pages ppl com:laugh::laugh::laughlaining .

I've searched everywhere over the internet and found little to answer my question. I make sms themes for GoSms, right. Though the problem is that the plugin installed into the go sms program is quite limited. I saw that a theme maker was available for pc before but last information I see in its regard dated to 2012 I believe. I looked for anything from 2014 but I can't find it now for download because every link I found resulted in an empty page. Am I missing something? How are people still sharing or selling themes on the Android market with such limitations on the plugin? I can't change the default avatar pic for contacts with no pictures, I can't change the background I'd like to use for the bubble chat.. the plugin only gives me option to change the color and transparency with the only option for a background for the message list and chat conversation window. I'm quite confused here. I would love to be able to share and sell some themes but I won't do it without being able to theme Go Sms completely (as in no limitations as the plugin has). Can anyone help me with this please? Give me some insight or something. I've overly confused myself and down to wanting to give up. Any useful info is very well appreciated.

The reason you are not getting replies is that GOsms threads are banned from the site due to security issues.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge user in India. Ive been long an ios user, recently switched to android. The device and OS feels great except for one little glitch. In iOS in whatsapp when putting in a keyword in the search bar, it used to search that word within the chat content also, while in android it just searched the Group name or contact name.
I use it a lot to search for keywords, it helps me to recall when did i talk about certain topic. How do i do it. I know its a pretty simple question and I am most probably missing something silly. But Pls help.

You have to go into the conversation of the contact your searching text and then click on the 3-dot icon in the top right. It should then have an Option to search within the contact for any text you enter.

It's not possible to search for text using the search icon on the main chat view.
