I have been reading around and most people have said that GPS hasn't been affected by the .14 update, however is that really true?
I updated yesterday as most of you also did, and restarted the Prime and played around with WiFi and other setting to see what Asus actually fixed. Then I loaded up GPS Status and got this after a minute or so:

I thought it might be a fluke. But I was able to get consistent results like this last night, even after restarting the tablet and moving around (I was inside during the screenshot above).
I tried it again this morning and after a minute was able to get 7/7 satellite locks.
With the .12 update I was able to get maybe 1 or 2/3 satellites at best. With .13 I got 0/X consistently.
Has anyone else noticed any measurable improvement with .14?
I have an older BBOKA tablet with good WiFi performance and two slight lightbleeds.
But have you been able to do navigation..? I to have the.14,, i to can see the birds in the sky. But when I go to use Google navigation,, after 15min still no GPS lock

I lost GPS after .13. I typically would get around 8 or so Sats since December. After I took .13 I got 0. .14 didn't change anything (at least for GPS)
The OP is onto something here

Strange, I check my GPS after every update, and swore that I was getting nothing significantly new of better after .14 install. Just for kicks I tried GPS Test and GPS Status when I saw this and HOLY CRAP. I had better GPS inside than I have seen on this, my second Prime. Even more amazing GPS TEST showed 13 locks outside! Thats record, but true to fashion it did not last. Within a minute I lost them all. It is good to see some progress, it encourages me that someday we might have acceptably poor, but workable GPS. I know, I'm a dreamer. Can't help it. 13 LOCKS!!

Just got my new Prime and am liking it so far. Having a big issue though, that I haven't seen on the forum before: sometimes the battery level shows 0% even though it's charged. It can show 90%, then all of a sudden show 0% for a while.
Over night last night I left it off the charger and in the battery history you can see it fluctuating between the real % and zero all night long.
Since I'm not seeing this reported by anyone else, i'm concerned that this may be a hardware problem. Android is updated to latest. Anyone else seeing this?
Here's a picture of what it did overnight

Just try a reboot. If it doesn't work. Then try a factory reset. Might clear up the glitch. That's doesn't sound hardware related.
Rebooting fixes it temporarily. Haven't tried factory reset, but will. It doesn't sound like hardware to me either, but it's odd that no one else is seeing this issue if it's a software issue.
I've had the exact same problem. Nothing fixed it. It went back to BB. Bought another one from BB in store 2 days ago (which makes me wonder if a new batch is being shipped to stores) and it is not doing it. It has otherwise been working fine. Recommend u return it.

So I let my EVO 3D sleep to see how long I could just let it sit there before it finally died.
Just a little info here:
Phone has no active plan, meaning no number on it and thus no 3G icon.
Phone was NOT in airplane mode. (had a signal to the tower the entire time)
Phone is completely stock 2.95 and S-ON. (Not even any setting changed other than USB Debugging was on, but not plugged into anything so that doesn't matter)
No application added nor removed.
No accounts setup, no syncs, nothing.
I turned it on maybe 5 times out of the time it sat there, including taking this picture. Each time, I just went directly into the battery, checked the time, that's it.

Not too bad, it was at 8% the night before. So I probably could have gotten about another 1/2 day maybe even another full day out of it from the time I took this picture.
Just figured I'd share that.
That is nuts! Too bad it doesn't stay like that after you've added all the apps that people actually use.

Lol I was just in the process of doing this. I was on day 11. Beat me to it.
Crazy
Thats insane! Mine dies so quickly no matter what rom or kernel I use
Are others having this? i mean i go through a full battery about twice a day.... I cant figure out what is draining it so bad. i have used WLD, greenify, and bootmanager to try to figure it out..... None of my apps are ever on the battery list, and screen is around 50% usually with android system and android OS always being up the list. I always thought it was my bad signal strength at work but i had two weeks off and my phone NEVER lasted even close to a day.
I have factory reset once but loaded my same apps backup.
I heard someone else mention that the sprint has this weird battery drain that is explainable and was wondering if others see that also.
I am on the search for a 6000+ mah battery i know it will have a replacement back plate but i don't want the whole case thing like the 9000 zero lemon.
Sounds like kernel wakelock
As of the last two days i have also been experiencing much faster battery drain. Have had the phone since launch and never had this problem.
I do not use the device in excess. Very few if any phone calls per day, some texting and gmail, occasional skim of xda, huffpo, phandroid apps and very light Twitter use if bored and not near the computer.
Battery has dipped 5% since writing this post...that's all of 1-2 minutes in use.

That's not normal for a Sprint LG G3. A couple of questions:
Have you looked at the battery stats page to see what app(s) are using the most battery? I'd suggest taking a screen shot of that page and posting it here.
Have you tried rebooting the phone? If there's an app or process running out of control that will often clear it up.
Are you rooted? If so, install better battery stats so we can get a better look at what's eating the battery.
Finally, you might want to take a look at this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...android-system-eating-your-battery-check.html
While it's unlikely you have the same problem I did, the tools and techniques I used to debug it might be useful for you.
Gonna wait for some custom roms to see if the problem just goes away.

Dude the battery app should show you what is causing it. Something has gone rouge!!! I just had my weather app running in the background using GPS for 5 hours, yeah my battery went way down. Freeze some BS apps. I routinely get 30 hrs plus on a single charge. Not the phone itself something you are using is causingi it.
As requested, my craptastic battery info. Brightness was 83.

*EDIT*
bought BBS, phone is up stairs charging... imagine that... will post those screens next drain...
What in the WHAT!!! My battery life has been up and down since I've had this phone. I sotpped using the GMAIL email app and am using Type mail for all my accounts. That seemed to help out with a small bit of the battery life, I didn't do any specific tests so it could actually have not changed anything at all. I'm having a very strange issue yesterday and today. I'm at my new office, signal strength is very low, but there's still 4G and a tiny bar of service. Additionally, I have WiFi available to connect to so the data shouldn't be straining to use the cell radio. I have my phone plugged into the wall (it's not the fast charger, just the regular Samsung plug) and the battery IS DRAINING!!! How is this even possible, what is chewing up my battery life? I've also seen the phone slow in it's responsiveness lately? I am considering a soft reset to factory, but I don't do anything really crazy with my phone. I email, facebook, text, and have Nova Prime and a weather widget. What is going on with this thing?

Take a look at your battery status. Post a screen shot when you experienced a bad drain again.
Try not to use wifi at all
Did you install one drive during setup. Check the camera upload setting which is turned on by default. So all ur pics upload to cloud on wifi. See if this setting helps

I looked at it yesterday before I posted...and I should have taken a screenshot...but the top two were Cell Standby @ 14% and Android System @ 13%. I will have the opportunity to grab a screenshot later today. In contrast though, this morning in the last 10 minutes since I've left my house I've gone from 95% to 90% and this reply and an uber was the only thing I've done on it since taking it off the charger.

That's not an option. I have a low data plan, 3GB, because it is SIGNIFIGANTLY cheaper and I live in DC where I have free Wi-Fi almost throughout every inch of the city. Plus when at home I have my phone on my network to take advantage of Wi-Fi and corporate resources.

It wasn't installed during setup, I have AT&T, but during the install after I made sure to disable all those features and verified it was still disabled. All the cloud apps I have disabled any upload features.

I wrote a post over at reddit about this topic:
w w w .reddit.com/r/GalaxyS6/comments/345tt9/galaxy_s6_and_s6_edge_lag_and_battery_improvement/
I can't post it on XDA yet due to the external link limitation since I am new to the forum. Just copy and paste the URL removing spaces in the URL beginning.
I am regularly seeing Lag free performance with five hour screen on time. I started with less than 2 hours SOT and constant lag.
I have a Mate 10 pro with very high battery drain. During the night 6-8hours it can drop from 100% to in worst case 75%.
I have done many factory resets and just installed basic apps (for me). Up til now I've been used dual SIMs. But this morning I removed one of the SIMs to see if that makes any difference.

To start with, Google Services (in their fifteen million different flavours) will chew through a lot of battery power in the first couple of hours after a factory reset.
Secondly, have you tried doing a tiered installation of your non-standard apps, to see at which point the battery starts going South? It may be that one or more of your apps don't know how to run properly under Oreo? I'd be paying particular attention to Samsung's apps, as their programmers have never been known to care about how the software will run on non-Samsung devices.
Thirdly, have you investigated why the apps which were auto-launched, were auto-launched? If (for example) Slides was auto-launched because you were looking at a presentation from an e-mail, then fine - but I've encountered apps in the past which keep trying to re-start themselves for no valid reason (most notably apps which try to maintain ad revenue even when you're not using them).
Finally, though the signal strength on your screenshots would indicate that you have decent coverage, if you're in a borderline area and the 'phone is having to constantly switch between LTE/UMTS/GSM just to remain connected, that will chew through a lot of battery without anything worthwhile to show for it. If this is the case with either of your SIMs, try forcing that SIM to remain on a single standard (for example, limit it to just UMTS/GSM); that helped me in the past with an Asus PadFone 2 and the rather pathetic carrier I was using at the time (yes, it was Optus).
This is happening to me as well. Started a few days ago, maybe a week I think. All of a sudden, out of nowhere. No apps draining battery. 20% ish drain during the night. Seems like there are many users having this problem the last week after a quick google search.
Last night I went to bed at 2:00. The battery started to drain from 5:00-10:00. No apps have been draining battery during this time.
