The smoothness of everything, the look that's different from android and customizable, and I love the launcher. I hate when things are ordered alphabetically, things get moved around each time you install an app. With miui everything stays in place, and it's easier for me to get to an app since I usually remember the location of said app. Plus apps that I install and forget about later are easier for me to notice on miui as opposed to other roms.
I just started running this rom. I like it, im using dark ice them tho, and as long as i can find away to get sprint voice mail app to work i think i will use this rom for a while.

I most like the smoothness, nothing else compares. 2nd favorite is battery life. And 3rd part favorite would be the customization.
Smoothness and customization. I love how easy it is to apply themes and switch things up so easily.

I have never gotten a headache from 3d on my phone or tv. I love it.
me either but i don't really care for the 3d that much at all it was cool for like the first 2 months then haven't really used it much since
The 3d is pointless on these phones. I stopped using it cus the cam would crash and 4G was never going to happen. It's an awesome ROM though. I just used launcherpro over it and got amazing benchmarks with it. My favorite thing is that its very functional. Seems like the UI always surprised me when i would find something is right where i want it to be in logical places.

I know how you feel im using ViperRom and it's fantastic BUT I miss stock android... launcher pro and disabling sense just isn't cutting it for me...
It's been a couple days(stupid hurricane) is anybody getting really close? I kinda liked the new sense when I got the 3d, but as time goes on I keep replacing all the sense stuff anyways. The only thing sense I use and like nowadays is the notification pulldown.

That was my dilemma on the OG4G. I liked the snappiness and vanilla feel. But I couldn't see killing a feature that made the phone unique. (4G). So I always went back to sense.
I don't see me moving to an AOSP if 3D and MHL die. :/

We can, or will be able to. EMMC phones are quad booting roms! Nobody has made it work for us yet because there is no reason, yet. All the roms are pretty much the same. Some roms look this way, others that way, in the end they all have same mods to them over the same base. CM can be had faster IF cyanogen got more involved, look how fast they got CM booting on the TouchPad, maybe a bounty would speed things up around here

Qualcomm released all of the source for 3D so there should be no issue there. It was stated on cyanogens twitter

Can't wait for Cyanogenmod on this beast. Its the only thing I miss about the og Evo. My son has the Evo 4g running cm7 nightlies and I'll pick it up every now and again to see what's doing..... Well I have it on my nook also.

My cousin has it and honestly our dev section is way way better. Right now I'm using kushdeck's rom as a daily... they have a wip with no downloadable. I don't even know what works. Or how far they are...
This is the same as the skyrocket dev section.. but here its worse.
They are mostly stock with some themes... and the themes are just color changes...

Yeah I agree. I use both the evo 3d and ep4g. I like the evo 3d dev section so much stuff to choose from. Every week I use a different rom changing themes throughout the week. My friends think my phone is the coolest compared to their iphones

Here's another problem. Complaints about Sense. If someone doesn't like Sense, why buy a phone that has it out of the box, and can't be removed without waiting for a developer to do it for you?
I'm a huge fan of Sense, and I look forward to getting 3.5, or 4.0, depending on what HTC brings to the table with the release of ICS.

I agree. If it was as easy to port Sense to a phone without it, then it is to get rid of it from a phone that already has it, there would be a lot of people using Sense on phones like the Galaxy series. It's amusing, really.

totally agree, I like BOTH sense and aosp stuff. It's likely I'll always buy a sense phone so I have the option.

had a sgs2 for about 2 weeks... hated it. and from that experience i have decided i will never buy another samsung product again.
they will have an official ICS release from sammy in about 13 months. because that's how long it takes samsung to get off their ass with any kind of support. look at the epic and the gingerbread update. 6 months behind the evo 4G
HTC > samsung
I wouldn't mind a galaxy nexus. But I know I would get tired over it.. after a while. Then what will I flash? A gb colored ics?
With the evo 3d I can put sense on for a while..... but I'm keeping pics for a long time... live it
The sgs2s aren't bad but I hate that they made them 4.3 and kept the same resolution and aspect ratio... I hate how pixelated and how wide it looks. Do like the samoled especially the blacks. But its a hate love relationship because colors look good but they aren't correct. Compare the gray or stainless steel color the speed test app has on an sgs2 and the evo 3d... you'll see the colors, sharpness and aspect ratio..

So I ordered up to 3Ds this weekend and am saying good bye to the 4G. I think I am going to miss the old phone but still can't wait for a faster phone.
So to the few questions.
What is the best sense ROM? As far as everything working all the way around. This will be for my gf, so I just want something simple.
Is there CM7 for the 3D?
Or maybe even a fully or close to fully working CM9?

How many themes are there for InfectedROM Eternity 3.0? I like more of a dark blue and black.
And well my gf is going to want a little more pink.
The one thing CM7 has going great for it is the themes.

That is a nice theme but I like things to be very simple, if I can find a good working CM7 I think I am going to go with that.
I dont really care if the 3d works or not. For me I am just looking for fast internet (4g) and faster phone.

I was more or less wondering this myself recently after using Newt's Sense 4 ROM. I was curious if there was any benefit of going backwards to 3.6 - this just answered my question. Sense 3.6 looks like a cheap plastic imitation of Sense 4. Terrible!

I think Sense 4.0 looks far more polished than it's predecessors... Plain Vanilla Android has always looked just that, plain. I know plenty of people are more visually attracted to that, but personally I've always thought AOSP ROMs looked like a 'rough draft' of Android. I've run ICS and didn't have it installed for more than an hour. Google obviously doesn't seem to spend a whole lot of time on 'presentation' versus 'performance'. Which is fine with me, as every company puts their own skin on it anyway. I know Google adds cool visual stuff here and there, like transitions and what not, but overall it looks fairly plain. This is just my personal opinion, though. That's the reason I've kept buying HTC is for Sense UI...
They both have ups and downs except for the crayola crayon UI by Sammy lol

Personally Sense to me has always been my favorite, and in my opinion, Sense has more customization options and more traditional feel for HTC. So you'll never be able to change sense. It's always going to be alike to its predecessors. Unlike stock Android, GB Stock is wayyy different then ICS stock android

Besides there will be plenty of MODS that will be able to make Sense 3.6 look more like 4.0

I took the Sense 5 LockScreen from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184792 and tested it on multiple 3.16 deodexed roms and verified that it works, this is a flashable zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bknivbxbd0xya1/Sense_5_Lockscreen.zip
All you have to do to flash is wipe dalvik/cache and flash in recovery, reboot
This does also include the modified call screen from Sense 5
Please make a nandroid prior to flashing just to be on the safe side......

No one cares? Are you serious? Ourboros, blackcm, revolt, sharkie, wild for the night, xylon, dirty unicorns, sinister, xenon, evervolv, nin's sense 5 (not the one on xda), avatar, and cm have all been updated in the last couple weeks, we just got a 3.4 kernel for aosp roms and our sense 5 update is hopefully around the corner which will have a bunch more people jump on it. Foh.

To be perfectly honest this is the best mod I've seen posted for the lte in months, I swear it feels like no one cares about even developing a little bit for this phone, the first evo4g gets more play than this, but thanks for this though

I have plenty of things I've done but also haven't really shared here. I'm still working on my Sense and AOSP kernels and the way I work I don't release things until I'm completely happy with it.
