Hi I am running window 7 32bit.
I am having problem with connecting my Samsung galaxy s 2 with pc as its rooted. so I am thinking to uninstall the kies and then install the driver to pc for SGS2.
but I dont where to find the drive. can anybody give me the link please.
just want to inform that I had tried. usb deberg, mass storage . but still my pc says driver not found for the device.
means pc is detecting the device.

Guys, when I connect mobile to PC via USB, I can not access files, it's not even detected. What to do?
Did you put it in USB mode?
Settings > Wireless and Network > USB Utils
More to the point did you read the manual and install Kies .

Strange is that I have the newest Kies but still I can connect GS2 only with Kies air. With USB cable the PC Win xp says that cant recognise the USB device. And through kies air I cant view folders and copy directly to them. Or is XP too old for samsung

I had problems with the drivers on W7 because I had an older version of KIES installed and when I installed KIES 2 it didn't work so I uninstalled everything related to KIES, reinstalled 2.xxx and now it works fine.
For some reason when i connect my GS2 to my computer (running xp) it wont give me the options to make it a mass storage device but when i use it on my laptop (running Windows 7) it works fine any ideas why and i ahve debugging on as well please help
you probably don't have the drivers installed on your PC - does the computer recognize the phone at all? if not, download samsung kies, and this should give you the appropriate drivers. alternatively, go on samsung's website and search for the appropriate drivers for the i777.
I'm having this similar issue but on Windows 7. I've already installed correct drivers and Samsung Kies. This issue began after I rooted my phone. I plug in my phone and my computer makes the device recognition sound. My phone is recognized in device manager as Samsung mobile usb composite device and my phone isn't in debug mode and doesn't give me the option for usb storage. I want to flash a rom into my phone but can't because I can't get into the internal sdcard. Any suggestions?
Try downloading pdanet on your computer. Then plug in your phone again. I had this problem and that fixed it for me.

I have a problem with my Samsung i5500. Every time i try to connect it to a PC it is not detected as a mass memory device and gos straight into charging mode just like i would connect the phone to the socket charger. The PC does not recognize the phone, it doesn't do anything, just like i never connected the phone through the USB port, but the phone is charging.
I tried to connect the phone on 3 different computers using 3 different micro-usb cables. On all 3 computers I installed the latest drivers for the i5500 and the same problem occurs every time.
Can anyone please help me with an advice. What should I do in order to get my phone connected and recognized by the PC?
In case you it helps you to know, I am using the stock 2.2 ROM and the phone is not rooted.

If you use windows 8 or 8.1 then you will have to extract the file you download from the link above and then right click on the .exe file and go to 'properties', in that go to 'compatibility' and in that choose your operating system as "WINDOWS 7" and check the option below 'always run as administrator' and there you go. Double click on .exe file and follow steps. Install drivers. No need to restart the pc also. (if your phone also do not detect after installing these drivers only then restart).
Can you just try this out? I know it is maybe not driver problem but still you can try this.

Check driver is installed or not. If not then downlod or install samsung kies. Your phone will recognize.
