I have a problem with sending messages. When I push "Send" it writes "Sending" and nothing happens next. Could you Help me to solve this?

So I've been stuck on MIUI for a while now because the stock SMS app shows both the sent time and received time if we hold down on the message and choose view message details. I have network issues in my area so most of the time I receive some messages late from my friends so I need the sent time to check exactly how late I got the message. I really want to switch away from MIUI because I really love the stock feel of CM7 or stock Samsung roms. I've used the show sent time mods for stock Samsung roms but the issue with that is when I finally receive the message, it appears above even messages that I sent after it so everything becomes mixed up and hard to understand. So does anyone have a solution like the MIUI sms app?

hi
When you go to a contact and select the history tab is there a way to see all the history.
Since i can only see the most recent messages and calls - of about the past 1-2 days.

Just tried to do gchat with a galaxy nexus with the phones next to each other and the galaxy s3 emits a loud screeching sound, like 2 microphones that were to close to each other. This only occurred with the s3 while the nexus had no problems. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Did the same thing with a iTouch we tried on. I'm curious if it had to do with being on the same WiFi.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Shouldn't be. S3 was using 4g while nexus was on WiFi.... so I'm assuming I'm not the only one? Can anyone else add on to this?

They are probably giving each other feedback. Try having one phone in one room and one in another. The problem will probably disappear.

It does disappear when I'm in another room. But I guess it's a little disturbing that only the gs3 will get feedback but the nexus won't. Guess no Google hangout with multiple phones in the same room....although I don't see the purpose of that.

My friends s2 shows every incoming call as private, they are unrooted and on stock ROM so GB, is there any solution to this problem or is it a carrier problem?

If it is running Gingerbread perhaps try to update it to ICS or JB.
If this doesn't help your friend should bring it to the support.
For me it sounds like a problem with the provider..

I have the galaxy S2 but, it's the SCH-R760. What happens is when I tap the contacts app my screen goes black, then pops up the message android process acore has stopped working. My phone is rooted. It's been rooted for a few months now, and this issue just started last week. Anybody have any ideas on the problem, and a fix?

Did you flash a ROM? Or tried flashing one and coming back to stock?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I have not flashed since there is no recovery that I can find for my phone. So I wouldn't know how without that.

I had skype installed, and once I removed it my contacts work again. Why would skype cause that problem?

Click to collapse
As Skype does request to access your contact list it is proably related to that.
You might have to try setting your contacts as a default.
I noticed in the past that sometimes it would ask me if I wanted to call contacts using Skype or Phone so my assumption is that somthing with the defaults is causing it to check Skype but it is also causing it to crash
So you're guess is the default contact app got changed to skype right? That makes sense. Whenever I dailed out it asked if I wanted to use skype or the dailer. Thanks

This happened to me once. I had no choice but to delete contacts data from settings and then restore from old backups....
Everything was OK then.

I've deleted skype and all us right in the world again.
