No to the Video Editor.
No to the FM Radio. As a norm the chip does have the functionality but the kernal does not support.

Oh OK thanks

[Q] local fm radio.

Anyway to pick up local stations with our antennae?

no, the vibrant does not have a functioning fm module, and before you ask (or anyone else assumes) it cannot be made to work as critical parts of the fm module hardware have been removed.
Though I like to tease and leave the FM radio app in my GB rom. LOL
Scan for days if you're really bored.

[Q] Is there an alternative fm radio app?

I cant seem to find anything on the marked, all i find is internet radios that require streaming. I would like one that listens to the actual fm-band(am would be cool but dont think the chip supports it) and has a bit better interface.
I have searched too, without success.
I would like to record.

The vibrant does not have an fm transmitter. Your best bet is getting a radio app from the market.

Our phone is mmissing key hardware in the chip that allows it to work. We partially* have an FM.receiver, just it can't ever work.

Radio. Com

Has anyone tried the radio. com app with the Photon? It does not work well for me. The audio is very choppy. My brother has an old lg optimus that it works fine on. Emailing the dev has been useless. The app is up to date. Ideas?

I've tried it too, same issue...audio is very choppy so I decided to just use tune in radio.
I've been using the built in app for internet radio and my general music use. Used tune in radio for 2 minutes before uninstalling it. Lets just say the iphone version got a whole lot more love than the android version.

Tried it a couple of weeks ago last. The interface was pretty bad.
I think tune in is great. I always have. It is NOT the problem. Radio. Com is. My local station put their stream on radio. Com otherwise i wouldn't care
