I bricked my tablet, i flashed the
Clockworkmod for Betelgeuse v0.3
based on ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.2.8
Then i tried to flash ICS CM9. The toshiba logo is coming, Bootscreen from CM, and then it´s freeze. I tried to flash several rom´s but nothing helped. Fastboot isn´t working (too Nooby to find out how), windows isn´t recognizing my Tablet. And i have no Backup file.
So please, can someone could post Backup file to restore, with an "How-To" or any other solution, so i can use my Tablet again.
Believe the only way is restore via fastboot
If you are not bothering to get this working - then simply do not ask
However - pls see this thread for more detailed information
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915894
regards
Update: in case freeze occured after installation of the ICS recovery - then fixes must be obtained in ICS development theme by DerArtem (also via fastboot)
Thank you very much, it´s working again, all files restored

I also noticed that bootloop can be solved by powering off and clearing cache and dalvik cache.

Hello friends,
I've a problem with CWM 5.8.2.0. Until now I replaced with ease different ROM and went all right. But after the last one, system doen't reboot. Everything is installed properly, the system restarts properly with the factory image (eeepad asus Tegra etc..), but after few seconds it returns to the previous commands (reboot system now, install zip fron sdcard, wipe data and so on). I tried to restore the "old" ROM, all the step are complete, but I can't go further. The installation stop always after a few seconds. Thank you for your help.
Now it's ok. It was a problem of softbrick. In this forum I've found the solution. Thank you

Did you use the Part 1 of the "How to Unbrick" thread? I have some questions then if you did.
Hey,
I wanted to update my Gingerbread MIUI and picked an ICS version cause I didn't look properly.
Now I'm stuck at the xiaomi logo and also can't get into recovery to do anything.
Is there a way to fix this?
I appreciate your help guys!

No recovery (assuming you're not pressing the wrong key combo) = flash stock rom in Odin to get a 'clean slate'. Then you can re-root your phone & try Miui again if you're still game.
sounds like
it sounds like you never deleted all data, dalvek cache or reset phone before you installed new rom.
just a thought
its aslo usefull to install rom, when finished while in rec. mode find fix permissions, clickn run, reboot then.
THEN istall updated gapps recommended in rom thread (if rom doesn't have gapps (google apps) preinstalled, romthread will tell you)and repeat fix perm. clickn reboot. dont make the mistake of doing it All at once ive found this helps

Yeah, and don't forget to do a factory/data reset after u flashed any ROM, custom or stock. If you do that the phone wont get stuck on the boot screen(S logo). Happened to me xD

first of all, reposting on multiple forums will get you ignored by most peole
secondly, your statement is extremely hard to read, i suggest you don't speak english.
lastly, we need more information. are you getting errors in the install? is this the first time you're flashing? what rom did you flash that started the issue?
-what you can try now-
Try flashing a rom with TWRP instead of CWM, i've seen issues with CWM that TWRP doesn't have. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1615990)
Use NVFLASH to flash your backed up files. If you didn't backup with NVFLASH prior to all this work then, sir, you should not be flashing in the first place and maybe this is the lesson you need.

ok sorry friend but my english is not good, I commented that when installing a rom gives me no problems, the installation ends well and seems to install something, when I asked to restart the tablet back to the recovery ..
how install the TWRP as if I have no operating system?
Hey guys!
Since I tried building Firefox OS -Boot2Gecko- on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100) (FYI: I followed this walkthrough) , I'm having quite a hard time making my phone boot on any ROM I try to install. I still have an access to CWM Recovery and to the Download mode
* After failing to flash B2G's Gaia on my phone, I tried to flash the kernel back to the original one and to restore the CM 10.1 NIGHTLY backup I made before doing all this mess. No changes: stuck at CM's boot screen.
* Tried to get back to a stock firmware and ROM, stucks at boot screen ("Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100" screen), even after a wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache.
(In fact, I achieved to boot on a stock ROM once, but after some other manipulations to get my CM 10.1 back, I now can't get it to boot on any of them anymore.)
* I tried to follow the rooting + CyanogenMod walkthrough on CM's wiki, but the same happens: stucks on boot screen. However, after a wipe data, I reach CM's boot animation, which runs indefinitely.
* Right now I tried flashing with Siyah's Kernel, since the flash counter is not any of my concerns anymore. Whatever I try, I can't get anything to get past the "Booting the primary ROM" message.
However, I installed a stable CM9 on the secondary ROM and... it actually works. But even when cloning 2nd ROM to the 1st ROM, can't get the first to boot anyway.
I am not an expert in Android OS architecture, but could it be related to some kind of modifications made by B2G's build & flashing? Maybe some files in the /data or /system partitions have been altered and are not replaced when fllashing, leading to ROMs not loading up?
Any advice on this is welcome.
PS: English is not my main language, sorry if things aren't explained clearly. Tell me if you need any clarifications about it!
hey there,
i have a similiar problem.
i got the info to reflash it using ODIN.
one user told me, that maybe the NAND-RW could be corrupted....
so iam trying it right now...
good luck
Wipe kernel/rom data with a cleaning script. You can find them in dev sections.
Well I flashed it many times with Odin (or Heimdall when I was on Linux) and I saw no improvement.
I don't think my NAND-RW is corrupted, as I can still boot on Download or Recovery mode.
Just found this tutorial, is it worth the try?

This one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363738 (Kernel) and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100558&highlight=script (ROM) ?
Ok so I tried the cleaning scripts I linked on my previous message, no changes. I can still boot on Siyah's second ROM, but can't get past the "Booting primary ROM" message.
Ideas anyone?
Hello,
First of all, I'm new in this forum and I don't know if it's the right place to post this question
I've been through many researches on the web but I couldn't find a clear answer to my problem,
If someone has the resources to help me I'd be glad
So my problem is:
I wanted to install KatKiss ROM - Asus TF101 from this very forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2592890
And I've started to follow the information given on the page : (if important I use ClockworkMod Recovery v3.1.0.1)
Backup everything !
Go to recovery
Make a full wipe / factory reset (you can skip this step if you're already on KatKiss-4.4, if ever you encounter a problem do the full wipe and try again before reporting )
Format /system
Flash the rom
Flash optional kernel
Flash gapps
Wipe cache/dalvik
Reboot
So I went through the first steps.
I made a factory reset (not with CWM but on the Android settings)
I didn't watched but I think it went ok.
When the Pad booted I couldn't access anymore to the real Android,
but I thought it was due to the manipulation I was doing
So to be sure the previous process wen well I made a full wipe/factory reset with CWM Recovery
I put all the zip files on a SD card that I put in the device,
I can access to the files on it
and as instructed I installed
KatKiss 4-4-2_023c.zip
KatKiss 4.4_AddOn_TF101G_Kernel_01.zip
gapps-KatKiss-4.4.2_20140221b.zip
When rebooting I couldn't acces anything but CWM.
Well I came to ask, what should I do, what should I check, what I shouldn't do?
I've tried to use the function Restore, because when I installed CWM I made a backup as instructed, but it seems to fail when I want to restore.
In need for answers, I thank you in advance for any piece of advice.
Since I got no answers I tried by myself some stuffs
I installed CyanogenMod 9.1.0-tf101 (only problem I can't connect to home wifi :good
I can access to the desktop of the tablet now (that's nice!)
But I have still some problems for which I'm looking answers.
In my reserches in found that the biggest mistake I made was to install Rom Manager (5.0.2.0) to access CWM
(Well, i'm a rookie...)
Now my best wish would be to run the tablet Katkiss 4.3 (i've seen that there were some compatible version for my TF101)
- How can I manage to get rid of Rom Manager ?
- How can I replace CMW by TWRP ? (It seems to be way better than RomManager & CWM)
- How to install
I don't understand all of the technical terms, Kernel Roms Drivers Flash Cyanogenmod Katkiss RomManager CWM TWRP what does what, i'm kind of lost, if any good samaritan read this I'd be so happy to have some advice of what I should do or just show me the path to some places where i can find specific answers i'd be glad..
System Info :
- Android 4.0.4
- Kernel 2.6.39.4-ge33a197
