Every time i install or uninstall any app i get a message of system process force close
why is does this happen?

I deleted the apps that i was not using like gallery , browser etc
and even when i force close system process phone works properly
selecting the 'wait' option also doesnt make any difference..just lags for 10 sec and then back to normal with this i dont think reboot will make a difference or will it?
whatevers happening is alien
say all apps that u had deleted

DO NOT INSTALL THE FONT WITH THE NAME Helvetica neue 57 con font 2.0 THAT APK IS SOMEHOW BROKEN/BAD AND WILL CAUSE FC's! The rest have been reported to be good and working.

HELP PLEASE!!!! Well I downloaded this font file to my phones SD card as directed and as i installed a couple at a time to see what they looked like then I would repeat the process install a couple and check them out and all was working well, well after i got done installing the last however many the display feature in the settings app says "The application Setting (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" well it keeps doing it over and over every time i press display so I figured I needed to uninstall the fonts one by one starting with the last one installed and so on and rebooted and battery pulled and no luck! PLEASE SOMEONE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!!

Sounds like you broke your settings, just pull the settings apk from the original rom zip and push it to your phone then reboot.

Or froze something you weren't suppose to but that's just speculation

Forgive me if I may sound a little dumb here but how do you pull it from the original rom then push to phone?......
I am sure one of the fonts did that. it has happened to me before. To pull somethiong out of rom just unzip it. Settings.apk is in system/app folder.

YES PLEASE I redid everything on my phone and its great again but i would love to use a different font but i do not want to use this zip until someone can pin point the problem
the ajax font crashed my settings, i repeat do not install the ajax font, it will crash your phone and constant FC of your display settings, i extracted the original settings .apk from my rom and pushed over and rebooted, that does not work...still FC... not cool...
I pinpointed the one that's causing the force closes. can't remember the exact name because I deleted it right when I discovered which one it was. I do believe it had something like "7con in it. Or something to that extent. Hope this helps everyone that's having this issue.

Uninstall it using Titanium or super manager or whatever you use and it ll be back to normal.
I unistalled them all using Titanium and was able to open up my display settings again.
Edit: post before me beat me to it.
yeah, that doesn't work, i uninstalled all of them hours ago...tried to push the settings apk over using root explorer but root explorer wont allow me to mount the system folder to rw just stays ro, i pushed settings.apk over to the data folder where app is and that did nothing after i replaced settings.apk...should i unistall settings.apk from titanium then reinstall settings.apk from my rom zip? i try to reinstall the settings.apk and it will not allow me to do so..now my launcher is freezing up and force closing on reboots...

yes, the others were working fine until that point or it could be a combination of them all or just the one bad .apk...i had to reflash my rom over a font..

I'm on WB latest rom and installed timescape and everything works fine except infinite view gives fc
Anyway I can remove infinite view so that I can at least have a look at my contacts?

I am unable to open contacts since I get some android system stopped working error. (force close).
kindly let me know how to uninstall infinite view.
Use titanium backup.
If you have the free version you will be able to unistall infinite view with it.
If you have the paid for version you will be able to "freeze" the app. This makes the phone think that infinite view has been uninstalled but keeps the app on your phone.
This is useful because sometimes uninstalling system apps like infinite view can make other apps FC. If this is the case you can use titanium backup and "defrost" the frozen app back to its original state.

I would try a fresh install.
I know it sounds like a long winded way, but use SEUS to flash back to stock 2.1
Then flash wolfs rom again. (Some people say flashing back to stock 2.1 is a waste of time but it has helped loads of people out before)
I think you know that wolf is releasing TW 007 soon, you could wait for that or flash v006 now.

Yeah, after freezing Infinite View I cannot open a contact at all (ICS 4.1.B.0.587 on Ray). The standard 'fresh install' advice is not what you want in this case, if I understand you correctly.
Download solid explorer beta2 or any root explorer and delete infinate.apk... Restart go to recovery and wipe cache n dalvik cache n you should be good....

Hey, you can try Root explorer (with root access of course)
Check the following tap and path
just hold pressing infiniteview.apk and check Delete
NOTE: check R/W also active
Ive rooted and installed andread custom rom on my phone ive installed on live app when I try open it, theres an error message saying it must force close. Ive tried making my cpu higher with an app still the same message. Does this mean im screwed or will this work on a different gingerbread rom ?
It should work on your rom hmm try to flash a stock rom and run a test

Simply go to ROM Manager and click the option Fix Permissions
I've fixed permissions through an app and then through recovery still nothing the version of the app I downloaded was from a kindle fire post will this make a difference if not any more suggestions every time I open the app it instantly needs to force close the only reason I updated rom was for this app lol help will be much appreciated

also is it possible to change the phone format from dialer? instead of xxx xxxx xxx to show xxxxxxxxxx ? I mean all the numbers in one group, changing region/language does not work.

Those apps looks like they are installed on SD card. If not go to SETTINGS> apps to uninstall them manually.
Then reboot your phone

nop , they are preinstalled games BB revolution and roller rev 99 I think , of course they are phone memory
I do not have uninstall button for them in task manager because they are system protected files

So tell me what you did. Did you freeze them using titanium backup? What's your ROM details?

deleted the apks with root explorer
I have stock rom .I9100BVLPB
Reboot to recovery and wipe cache. I had same problem as you. If cleaning cache won't help then only factory reset, at least that's what I needed to do to fix it for good. Might be also corrupted SD card, so you may try to format it before ultimate solution of reset.
Also you can try SD Maid app.

wipe cache did not remove the shortcuts , I guess it will have to wait untill my operator decides to release 4.0.4 then I'll give it a factory reset.
what about the phone format?

I know this is late, but if you have moved an app to your sd card this happens sometimes. Move it back to the phone and the ghost goes away. You may have to reboot but not restore to factory default. I have the s2 and so does my wife i get to fix problems like this. It is easy.
I am having the same problem.
But I had programs installed on my device, and then one day noticed that they were "ghosts". Happened once when an "update" occured! Gonna try SD Maid. Nothing has worked so far.

OK. Maybe I'm not as geeky as I hoped, but I see a ton of files, but not sure how to identify the "ghosts." Can you please let me know how you were able to identify them?
Install Appzorter from the Play Store. It will sort your apps how you like it, and these scary ghosts will disappear (at least for me it worked...).

i having a problem to open my pic in ALBUM folder..when i open da apps, i cant see my pic but can select it..seems like it invisible..this happen when i try to restore my backup file using PCC..
my GPS also having a prob to lock compare than my GB version be4..
should i flashing back my device or got another solution??

well seems your gallery not recognizing the files dose it open if u select did u tried copying it to ur pc and do master reset
note backup ur contact and ur important data before master rest

I'm also using Xperia go and I've updated it to jelly bean but I don't come across such issues. my GPS is working good, album, movies and walkman apps are working good and a bit faster and smoother. May be because I factory reset while upgrading to jb.first you backup all your important things and then go to settings-- backup and reset--Factory reset.
then you will find your phone very smooth, fast and fluid.
