So for some reason my text message app always shows 1 hour behind on all the messages I receive. I hate that it does this cause it never shows the newest one last and I am having to search for the message that was sent...
Anyone else experience this? Or know how to fix it?
I am using the stock HTC messaging app... I know it is not a rom issue cause I can switch between roms and it stays the same. Unless this is a wide spread issue I am unaware of.

Mods, suggest closing before he gets flamed to death...

ok..... That wasn't so bad, was it?
Just use search for future reference! Have a great day, Valued Customer!
I keep getting this on this forum - Security error. User may not have permission for this feature
Any ideas why?
It's a tapatalk bug. Refresh a few times may help you fix that.
I can't figure this out but my email client and gmail client keep closing. It takes almost 10 tries to get them to stay open. Any ideas?
I have the same problem

Been happening to me too. The Email app won't connect to Hotmail either.

You guys running custom roms/JB? I'm stock rooted and works fine for me.

Stock rooted .28. A reboot helped Gmail for me but not Hotmail. That errs saying it couldn't open a connection with the server and hasn't updated my Hotmail since the 13th.
I was also getting Gmail closing repeatedly rendering it useless before the reboot.

I have had the same problem. Mostly after I have played a game that uses a lot of RAM or after a high uptime. Closing all apps using a taskmanager (which I normally don't use) helped in 7 out of 10 tries but for the other 3 times I have had to do a reboot.
I have had this problem the last time roughly a week after I updated to .28 (I'm on a rooted stock too), but gmail hasn't crashed ever since.
i used to have this problem a lot. i also had the problem where my homescreen widgets would keep disappearing. Getting rid of teh homescreen gmail and email widgets (where you can see a folder ie inbox) solved my problem of the widgets. might also have solved the gmail closing issue as well. at least i haven't experienced it much since.
hope this helps!
I have this problem, just started yesterday. No mater how many reboots or using task manager get errors. Finally just got another app from market to use for email. Rooted running miui

I used to have this problem. Now it's gone since I rebooted and don't kill the GMail app using the Ice Cream task manager (or another one).
By the way, setting the limit of background processes to 4 or something else in development options, leads to the same as the system ends finishing the gmail app process.
I found a solution for my Hotmail account not syncing, not able to connect to the server. This thread has info from Spoutinwyze that got me going. Here is what he said.
>manual setup, >choose "exchange" >edit username to be <name>@hotmail.com >change server to "debug-m.hotmail.com"

I still have this problem after 6 months of owning my Prime. Gmail crashes incessantly. Completely useless. Beyond frustrated at this point. I did an RMA, paid $50 to mail it, got it back with absolutely nothing done to fix the problem. They say I can send it in again, and this time they will pay the shipping. Guess I will do it. No idea what else to do at this point. Maybe they will replace it and give me one where this doesn't happen?

Do you use the email or gmail Widgets that show your inbox? Deleting those Widgets seems to have fixed the issue for me!

I have the same problem, but it is sometimes resolved (more often them not a) by clearing the memory using the Asus task manager widget. I use it every time before accessing mail and that seems to make it more stable.

possible fix....
I only use gmail so i dont know if this will fix the other mail applications, but... I too had the force closes with gmail and I found a fix.
Open up gmail and quickly go to the settings section. from there go to the gmail account/s and change the days of mail to sync setting. I put mine at 15 days, but i haven't experimented with anything higher. all i know is that it worked and crashes completely stopped after that.
so i am assuming it has something to do with memory handling or something like that. I am not a dev or anything, but just seems like a possibility.
I do not have any email Widgets. I have cleared data and cache countless times. Factory resets after every firmware update. Cold reboots. Changed sync to 15 days. Nothing works. Constant crashes with opengl out of memory errors in the logs. Submitted multiple bug reports to google and Asus. No response from google. Useless Rma from Asus. Don't know what else to try

Try atp tweak and sio through that. Also running the build prop mods. That might help.

Hello xda, iv'e done extensive searching on this site and google, however have not found an answer to what im looking for so please forgive me/point me in right direction if allready discussed somewhere...my friend has an unrooted htc evo 4g on sprint and his ex gf somehow managed to figure out how to completely spy on his phone without ever having physical access to it, which until now i didnt think was possible unless you install faulty apps on your own, which he hasnt. he received a blank mms message followed by a basic one word text from her saying "LOL"...now his battery drains fast, everything runs slow on an otherwise fairly quick phone, and his ex keeps sending messages proving she knows everything thats on his phone. she was even able to find a private video he shot with his new gf of them (no further info needed lol) on his phone, and sent him texts commenting on how she was going to do the same moves she saw in the vid with all his friends for revenge. every half hour or so she sends a text telling him his exact location...sends comments on txts he receives...ect...so what is this? how would i find it? how would i delete it/block it from ever happening? im not a complete noob but beginner/intermediate for sure, any help would be greatly appreciated.
(i know i could root it and wipe everything/install custom roms ect, but he wants to avoid rooting for some reason, however if its the only way any helpful info from here would help me convince him)
Go to airplane mode and scan the app list under settings/applications/all for anything suspicious

Anyone having issues with posting videos on ig? I can't record a video or upload from gallery with out the app crashing. I get a "I'm sorry but com.instagram has stopped message" I've tried this on beanstown build and ditto. Same issues. I emailed ig I get no response I'm sending them feedback after every crash and my question just seems to slip through the cracks here on the forums. Maybe someone who had the same problems can shed some light as to what might be wrong.
