I like. I'm guessing the Rezound update will look something like this, I can't wait until it's rooted with some tweaks and the Rezound will have better hardware too.

Yes really. Watch the end of the video it says Sense 3.6. Not to mention it looks nothing like 4.0
Whoever wrote up that article either messed up or did it on purpose to deceive people.

doubt it. Engadget just did a 3.6 sense review and said that all current devices that get ICS will get 3.6. 4.0 has camera and audio stuff (like beats throughout) that htc says current phones cannot do.

I wanted to install a sense 4.0 ROM, but I see that the thread is locked. Is sense 4.0 not being worked on anymore?
No leaks. It can only be booted up and played with when your bored. Not really worth bothering

Both sense 3.6 and 4.0 are based off android 4.0 ice cream sandwich meaning it will be a huge help to get data working among other things in sense 4.0 ROM's and actually make them usable

Indeed, once the official Sense 3.6 update is released the necessary parts can be ported into a Sense 4.0 ROM and be made fully functional for our EVO's. Patience my friend .

every sense version has a diffrent kernal, ics would help, but it would still need tweeks, dont get me wrong its possible, just look at all the Sensation Sense 4 Roms, but it takes a lot of time

X had a really good stable sense 3.5.. would that be easier to port sense 4?

I know sense 3.5 is for gingerbread and wont help. But it is there for the amaze thanks to x.
don't say sense 4 will never come to the amaze. Somebody might get a stable sense 4 like x manage to get an sense 3.5
Sense 4 will eventually come, the Sensation has it stable and it all started off with a leaked ICS Sense 3.6 RUU

Officially, never in a million years.
We got Sense 3.6 with our official ICS update, while other devices got Sense 4.0.
So when we didn't even get Sense 4.0, we won't get an even newer version than that.
Unofficially, then absolutely 100% sure that we'll get some form of newer versions of Sense should it be released.

Most likely no. Never from HTC or Sprint. We may get a port but I seriously doubt any real development will be done.

I agree.
All Sense 4.0 ROMs still have major bugs.
HTC didn't release it for our phones with the ICS upgrade, so they won't release 4.1.
And, the development by devs on this forum is unlikely, since, like I said, Sense 4.0 ROMs still have major bugs, which means Sense 4.1 will only create more.

I agree, Sprint is not going to help us out. They were slow enough to roll out the office ICS update for us. And I haven't seen any evidence that HTC is planning this either.
I contacted HTC and they said that they are trying to get JB on as many devices as possible, may be a possibility, they don't have enough new devices to fit the title "as many devices as possible"... The one series has what, 3 phones.?

Its not that they don't have enough devices its that they don't want to make empty promises like with that Desire HD scandal.
They just want to test Jelly Bean thoroughly so they are sure the device will get better with new software.
As for the OP question nope not in a million years i even doubt we will get Jelly Bean even thought HTC is the best with the updates on the market but i think they won't bother to get us latest Android and beside Google Now has been ported to us and im already using it so now all i need is expendable notifications and then im all set.

I think its updated for Jellybean and a bug free sense 4 is taking time so 4.1 doesn't appear in the proximity

Yeah, pretty much we'll have to rely on the community. Choosing to push ICS with 3.6 pretty much means 4.0 ain't happening.
I'd say even with JB, we'd be on 3.6

I think he means this specific feature.
But I don't know man, it looks like that requires a lot of Sense 5 features. Like framework stuff.

Umm we do have Sense 4, go check out the Nightmare Sense ROM. Ran just fine on my Amaze. It may be possible to port the feature provided that it doesnt rely on Sense 5 which would make it a lot harder to port.

Sense 4+ is simply Sense 4.1 that has been tweaked for JB. HTC incorporated some of the JB features into their widgets and thats about it.

Lol. That's not real source either. Probably more empty promises by HTC. But even if they do pull through, the Amaze isn't listed as one of the devices to get updated.
