hello friends !!
i got an at&t atrix 4g which i unlocked to use on any gsm !!
i am currently in india and the phone is running fine !!
it is rooted and android 2.3.4(4.5.91) is installed onto it !!
i am trying to unlock the bootloader but i am getting confused at the part of selecting the sbf !!
whether i should use
1) ATT ONLY - Unlocker for 1.8.3 and 4.5.91 ATT firmwares
2) Orange/Bell/Telestra/Latin America/International users ONLY
pls reply guys as i am not sure which sbf file do i use !!
pls help a brother out !!

Though your phone is not on AT&T now since you are out of the USA, it is still an AT&T Atrix 4G, not the international model.

I think you got it bro.
make sure the phone battery has more than 50%,
remove sim and external storage,
do as instructed in the automatic mode, make sure to backup your programs with titaniumbackup , sms with sms backyp + and contacts from import contacts to sd card before precede,unlock bootlooder may wiped your system,

ok ill just ask my questions here.. first general info.
my phone is from france- and im from israel
some 1 unlocked it for me (paid for it) to work in israel.
and now- i want to update to 2.1
i dont want to wait for france update (anyways i get no benefit of that) so i undarstand that i should flash, and than somehow use 2.1 rom.
1.what is seus? is it same as pcc? how should i update my phone before flashing? *because i downloaded pcc and checked there for updates via support zone and was told that i have the lattest version (phone was mounted ) but i read that the phone should be in flash mode when u do the drivers thing(with pcc or seus idk).
2.to what version should i rebrand?
*i was reading in this forum since the nordic generic was out but now i see "Global World Firmware 2.1" etc..
3.if i flash, upgrade version or anything else..can i loose the unlock for my country? is there an easy way to do it anyway?(unlock divice to work in country X)
4. when i tried to flash i got an error, but i tried few ways (including from other forums) so now i download the file from Bin4ry and will ask about the error after i got it- for now answer me about my 3 first questions please

No, SEUS is just a program to update your phone, where as PCC can do it, but also allows you to manage your phone, to a degree, but I prefer to use SEUS.

Flashing will wipe your phone if you choose, so it's irrelevant.

No, if you unlock a phone to use any sim card it doesn't matter which country you're in.

I suggest you to flash some ROM, i think it will remove any SIM Locks and so one. Find ROM on development forum for your phone.
You can get a Worldwide sony ericsson Unlock Code from imeicodes.co.uk this however takes about a week to get your code, so you need to be patient. The code will work fine aslong as you havent used up your tries to enter it (just like a nokia phone). It's a good idea to check your unlock code attempts before ordering a code by doing the following:
Press menu < < menu < menu menu <
Then you can check the counter [0 or 5].
If it says 0 then you cannot enter codes.
And STOP giving your IMEI on public sites!

First you have to check if your Baseband Version is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 (Settings→Phone info (I don't remember how it exactly is in English). If not, you must use FlashTool to change it. Next, you have to root your device, install ClockWorkMod (xRecovery) and flash your new ROM.
I'm not sure if it will remove SIM Lock although it's worth of trying. Ask if you have any questions.

99% sure roms don't remove sim locks :<
Flashing a ROM has nothing to do with your SIM Lock. So no flashing will magically unlock your device. You need to get the proper unlock code, or have someone with a unlock dongle to do it.

Sure if you got more tries to use with correct unlock code you still can do that.
Else you can get it unlocked via dongle.

thats to do with your baseband I think,your on the wrong one.
I had the same problem.
Once I went over to baseband 71 it was fine.
yours might need a different one though so trial and error Im affraid.

I tried with kdz(all steps)but after phone restart : lg logo,software update ,then same black screen with FOTAFS....
I tried reset factory settings but no efect.
Phone can be put in download mode.

It's a complete gsm/lte rsd flashable rom for xt1609 verizon.
Worked.. I can't make calls on start, but toggle 2g then 4g/lte fix that. thanks a million

Its just a gsm work around, no bootloader unlock ..
That's what I was assuming. Still can provide a $25-30 backup phone tho.

I'm already using this rom in my phone and after this rom u can't install ota updates. It will always end up with satus 7 error. I need original firmware file of xt1609. Can anyone help me with the link?

Yes now I'm on latest build with gsm unlock. I love it. Waiting for nougat cuz can't unlock its bootloader so no custom roms

So does this make the XT1609 fully support all the bands the unlocked US version (XT1607) has? Or is the GSM unlock limited to only 2G/3G with those carriers?
Haven't checked it.. but its fully supported..

i install this rom but still locked ?!
You need unlock code $2 from ebay, and this rom. That's it.
