Hi all, is there any way to access the watch later playlist on the ICS YouTube app? It was available on the last gingerbread version of the app but I can't for the life of me find it on the ICS version of the app.
Never mind, turns out an update was available that fixed it not showing up, please close this thread.

I've been trying to play video on BBC news website with no success. The loading circle just rotates forever. Funny thing is when I first got my sgs2 it played no problem whatsoever. Also BBC iplayer main website won't let me access it, says my phone not supported. Once again I think I could access it before I upgraded from 2.3.3. Java is enabled in my settings and plugins are allowed. I'm unrooted on stock voda 2.3.5. Anybody else sufferring from this problem?

All working fine here... do u have flash installed OK?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Yeah, running latest version of flash downloaded from market. Using stock browser. Tried uninstalling flash updates, but made no difference. The red ring just keeps whirling round forever and video never plays. All very odd. Every other site I've tried video works fine e.g. sky news, t3, stuff TV, itv news, gadget show. Even BBC one watchlive worked. I guess it must be my settings somehow? But i've no idea what exactly.

Yes, I have the problem as well. It was one of the good things about the S2 that I could watch all the BBC news videos. I guess the BBC have changed something.
I have just tested and it now works OK using Dolphin HD Browser (and you can watch full screen unlike on the stock browser)
Also the videos work on the official BBC news app
I agree, the first thing I checked in shop on demo gs2 was flash playing video on BBC news website. The speed and smoothness really impressed me. Coming from HTC legend ARMv6 where flash was crap, it helped make my decision to buy gs2 final. At least now I know someone else has this issue and shares my disappointment.
Good to know it still works with dolphin hd though. But for me I'd rather stick to stock browser because if hardware acceleration. So the fact it doesn't work anymore is pretty frustrating.:-(

i have solved this problem by using an older version of adobe flash that i still had backed up in titanium backup. but i don't know if thats the best solution since then you won't get the newest versions and security fixes.....
Using titanium backup to roll back flash might be an option. Although i'm pretty sure I would need root. Interestingly I have uninstalled all flash updates back to 10.1 and it made no difference. So maybe flash isn't the problem?

Can you give me a link to try?
I know that the bbc have recently moved over to HTML5 video content.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/22/bbc-moves-towards-html5-for-websites-tells-flash-itll-still-be/
This is probably the issue though I have surfed through the site and it is all working for me.

Interesting article. I presume you want the link to the web page I'm having trouble with? It's just the BBC news front/home page.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/
If I've picked you up wrong let me know.
Also as I stated earlier BBC iplayer (WEBSITE) says my phone isn't supported. Does that also work for you? Thanks for your input

Hi every one,
I wanted to know how i can disable/uninstall Atrix CM7.2 Stable Built in Video Player. The built in video player sucks big time and every time i click on youtube video its launches automatically and wont even play the video and close it self down. i have tried freezing gallery app to check but its not it so let me know if any one know which apk or app to uninstall/freeze will stop that little bugger to messing with me
Try cleaning up the video app settings. This could help you by enabling the choose app screen next time you open a video file.

There is no video app in my app drawer. and i have checked all apps using titanium and other app freezing applications.
Doesn't youtube videos use flash or the built in youtube app? Could it be that the current version of flash you have installed is what's causing the problem? Try downgrading or upgrading perhaps?
If you're having problems playing video files (.avi, .mkv, etc.) try using MX Player from playstore.
i have all those apps but thing is built in app wont let them play the content, it comes first auto and wont even play a dam thing
Google flash player APK 10.3. I don't have any YouTube problems (yet).

Yep, Im having the same issue. Updated to 4.3.606 and now I can't open the app. There are quite a few reviews on the Play Store concerning this too. Hopefully it gets resolved. In the meantime, I'm just running an older version that I had backed up.
Broken for me on my kindle fire as well since the newest update.
I also have this force close issue on my HTC Thunderbolt 4G on my LiquidSmooth ICS rom. I hope someone figures out how to fix it.
Same here. Vanilla CM7.2

I made a post in the App section here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350164&page=51
I also made a post on the official Google Support forums here please post on it if you are having this problem
http://productforums.google.com/for...roid-devices/android-applications/a6u2tK6a49g
Searched the inter web for an older version...google play music 3.1, I think.
Works on Mirage.
Hope this helps.
I made this post for Google Play Music FC here please post in it if you are having the problem still. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1799125
Works fine for me on aokp
When using the latest version of the play music app and CM7.2 the crash still occurs.

Hmff, this is disappointing, setting up one of my old NC's and wanted to let my daughter listen to my Google Music. I notice that it doesn't create a Google Play Music entry in the Accounts at all, but I wonder what's going on overall.
I'll have to do some debugging, once my girl gives the tablet back.. She's busy making a monster farm or something
I experienced this problem too. I think it is a problem with the DPI density. I set my NC's DPI to 180 and it stopped FC'ing on me. Then started FC'ing again when I reverted the DPI density back to the stock 160. But ultimately, I just upgraded my NC to Jelly Bean. No more problems for me. Google Play Music runs fine on Jelly Bean.

Please tell us your current rom version ....and kernel please ...
It's nearly impossible to trouble shoot this problem without more information.
In addition ...are you rooted, if so have you fixed permissions for your apps, and is your YouTube apk the latest version ..
These problems can be troublesome, and I'm sorry for all of the questions, but it helps rule out the obvious problems first ...g
I'm not rooted, using stock ROM 4.0.4 ICS, kernel 3.0.8. Yes latest you tube apk

Try reverting your YouTube apk to the previous version in the play store ....by uninstalling the update ....
Then don't allow automatic updates ..
Also ...go into your player apk, and YouTube apk under the applications menu and wipe the cache and data for both apps ....then reboot to test ....g
Hello all!
I was wondering if you could give me some answers.. I am running cm10.1.
After using the search tool and getting no final answer, I would like to know if there is a modded gallery with that DLNA icon on the top right of the screen for CM10 rom.
Is this feature a Samsung exclusive thing? Hope it isn't.
Second one:
I have a modded YouTube (from Omega rom) that allows video downloading. Everytime I install cm10.1 nightly updates I needed to reinstall this modded YouTube. Is there a way to override this?
Thanks.
