you can use an oldschool xt9 keyboard. i dont know if thats what you are looking for. if so you can go to
settings> language and keyboard> samsung keyboard settings> portrait keyboard types> 3*4 keyboard
I wish it was. I've been searching all over with no luck. I've left messages on Samungs Facebook page hoping somebody would be able to answer it.

There's a paid app on the market called "onehand keyboard" by alexey that mimics the not updated keyboard's functionality. I'm gonna try it

I just tried it out, and it seems to work fine, problem for me is I got used to using Swype and don't want to get rid of it.
Now if I could only find a one handed Swype keyboard, that would be awesome.

It is exactly what I'm looking for, EXCEPT, it seems to have an ability to keylog. I don't want creditcard info ect. to be known by this developer. Uninstalled.

I am not getting the international version to work. I'm sure its a simple fix, but its above my grade. I would love it if a dev would pick up this project.

Hello everybody!
Every time I try to log in to the Samsung app store I get the following error you can see in the attachment.
I've bought an SGS in the UK in September of 2010 where I created my Samsung account and I could download everything OK. About 2-3 weeks ago I bought an SGS III (i9300) from a store in Cyprus. Currently it operates with a Cypriot sim-card and while Google play works fine, I cannot download anything from the Samsung app store and I get the error shown below. I haven't previously tried to use the Samsung app store from the first SGS in Cyprus in order to know if the store is network based.
Does anyone know the solution without the need of rooting or any other system modification? Also if you need any more information please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Did u choose UK when u signed up?
Have u changed it to Cyprus?

Lol and I've only just looked at the screenshot. It's quite self explanitory. U need to be connecting to the Cypriot market. Not UK.
Did you know what apps your after? I'm sure if they aren't on the Cypriot market that Google may be able to assist you

Thank you for your reply!
Yes I've chosen UK as it is the country I want. I'm going back to the UK to continue my studies on September and I want to use the UK store. As the screenshot says, when I set up my account for the first time I've chosen UK and I want to keep on using the UK store. I'm sure that many things in the Samsung app store would be on Google Play, but e.g. Polaris office is free for SGS3 therefore there is no reason for me to pay for it.
Open a new account with Samsung's and use Cypriot market. Or.... read the last line of my last post again

Thanks again for your reply but I wish to use the UK market (where already some apps are on my account), and as I've stated before I want to get free apps that are not free on Google Play
I don't think you can in another country

As the great and wonderful nosey company they are T-Mobile added their version of carrier IQ our phone. Having paid $600 dollars for my phone I feel I should get to choose what is and isn't on my device. All that being said T-Mobile seems to have been pretty sneaky at hiding carrier IQ deep in the settings and it doesn't really show up in most task managers. Even in titanium back-up I couldn't freeze it.
So you want it gone, well here it is.
You need a file explorer such as Root Explorer and then there are 6 files to remove.
Go to system/app and there are 3 files with carrier IQ listed delete all 3. ( Sorry I already deleted them so I don't have the exact name)
Delete IQ-tmobile-release-signed.apk
Delete IQToggle.signed.apk
( Sorry I already deleted them so I don't have the exact name of the 3rd if someone posts I'll update it)
Then go Data/Data and remove the 3 carrier IQ files.
Delete com.carrieriq.tmobile
Delete com.carrieriq.tmobile.IQToggle
I removed these with no issues, but as always do this at your own risk, I am not responsible for your phone.
Or you can simply just flash a stock d802 rom and not worry about it being wrapped up deeper into the framework. They did that by design.

How am I supposed to know? The NSA is gonna surveil all of us regardless of carrier iq being on or off. But if it's off it should be off.

one of the reason that I bought S6 is the visa Tap and Pay, but I didn't see any info.
any help?
I believe Samsung Pay will be released later in the year (but won't work if your phone is rooted, so if you're keen on using it then don't root!).
Some banks, like Commonwealth Bank here in Australia, have apps that allow you to pay using your phone wherever PayWave, etc is accepted also but I guess that depends on your financial institution.

I've found the link to be able to download the Samsung Pay Beta .apk file but I haven't figured out how to get it to install. Does someone else want to try? I'm stuck on a Samsung S6 Edge running 5.0.2. I wonder if you have to have 5.1.1 to run it.
Korea Link - https://kr.mpay.samsung.com/apk
US Link - https://us.mpay.samsung.com/apk
Here's a download link for the Samsung Pay .apk file I found on the Korean link. It lets me install it on my Samsung S6 Edge+ running android 5.1.1.

1st & 2nd link you have to login before you get access to the .apk file. The 3rd link got automaticly shortened so try this one and it should work now.

I called today and they told me to download the Samsung Plus app from the Google playstore. I downloaded it agreed to the terms and logged in and then inside the app there was a link that said "Join Samsung Pay Beta". So far it doesn't do anything, but it seems promising that it might work tomorrow after the beta has officially begun.
