Does anyone have their HTC Rezound wireless tethering to their Nook Tablet? If so what is your setup on the phone and tablet. Thanks In Advance!

You need ics roms to tether in infrastructure mode.. If nook cam connect to adhoc Internet then you can use GB. I'm on ICS redefined and I'm tethering my zoom using wifi tether with galaxy nexus as the device profile.

How do you change your device profile from rezound to galaxy nexus?

Change it in wireless tether app
Change device profile to Galaxy Nexus CDMA.

How do I make it work on my evo 3d I've installed a beta wifi tether and it connects to my laptop but when I open browser nothing comes up like I don't have internet

Download the beta 6:

Go the settings and choose the Evo 3D in the device list. Enable router fix and mms clamping which is also in the settings and you should be good to go.
Did you root your phone *

I have successfully tethered my non-rooted stock Nook Tablet to my HTC Amaze 4G with both WPA and no security
I had to enable ad-hoc wifi first as per instructions here: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1370955) before I could connect to my Nokia N8 using joikuspot.
It seems that other people have managed to use another software to create a non-adhoc wifi network, but I think it's good to apply the patch and keep your options open.

They are different for each phone so you have better luck hoping over to the forum for yours and asking over there or checking to see if they have it already set up. Like I said I have a lowend samsung galaxy Prevail here from boostmobile.
I have a rooted NT and am new to tethering (great option since my wife has a Blackberry Bold (Verizon) that her company pays for). Seems like Barnacle and WIfi Tether are the two most used. Any recommendations as to which would be better for a noob?

I've been able to, no problem, T-Mobile, G2, both cm7 and ics flavors have had built in Wi-Fi tether. I don't use any apes for it

If your phone is rooted, why not Barnacle?
How about reverse tethering on android 4.0.4? Is it possible to enable ad-hoc connections by changing the wpa_supplicant file?
the Foxfi app allows wireless tethering without routing, works great
lol... i think ur late to the party... but thanks anyways
Clockwork Mod tether works without root as well. I used CWM tether first hand, and works great

Why is anyone concerned about tethering off the sprint 2g network anyways. Just saying anything you tether to will be pointless can't stream video media on sprint data is to slow.. Unless you just aim to use the Net..

Where do I check "unknown sources" and "USB debugger". I can't find them on this phone.
Tethering a tablet without data for gps in your car. Letting your psp/vita/ipod touch/laptop get connection. You decide. They are all viable reasons to tether 3g.

Go into your PHONES SETTINGS, on mine I go into SECURITY to check the "UNKNOWN SOURCES & then I go into the DEVELOPER OPTIONS to check the "DEBUGGING"

Not true cuz FoxFi works gr8 4 me & I watch videos on my laptop. The 3G on this fone is BETTER than the 3G on older phones because our 3G works like the 4G on the OG Evo
