Dear ladies and gents.
I am on here once again with another question....
When I bought my HTC Amaze 3 weeks ago, I knew that my Amaze would come with A TON of bloatware.
I am looking to delete most of this bs that I have on here that I don't use anyways......
Is there an app / program that would let me select the bloatware I want to delete, and actually delete it?????
Bloatware I am looking to delete:
* 411 & More [I'M NOT PAYING FOR SH*T]
* Highlight [NOT IMPORTANT]
* FM RADIO [I HAVE UNLIMITED PANDORA]
* Friend Stream [GOT FRIENDCASTER PRO]
* HTC Likes [IDGAF WHAT THEY LIKE]
* Peep [DON'T USE TWITTER]
* Polaris Office [IN THE MIDDLE OF WRITING NOTE, FORCED CLOSE LOST MY SH*T]
* Pro Apps [NO THANX]
* Stocks [I HATE STOCKS]
* T-Mobile TV HD [BOOTLEG HULU+]
* Talk [YAHOO MSGR, FACEBOOK]
* Teeter [TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE]
* Voice Dialer [DON'T USE VOICE DIALER, ALWAYS SUCKS BALLS]
* Voice Search [I HAVE FINGERS, I CAN TYPE]
* Video Chat (Qik) [I DONT VIDEO CHAT]
* Zinio Reader [NOT FREE, DON'T WANT]
* Watch [WATCH ME DELETE U, TORRENTS R FREE]
* Slacker [PANDORA UNLIMITED]
* Google Search [DON'T NEED AN APP FOR THIS]
* More For Me [LIVING SOCIAL]
* T-Mobile Mall [EFF U]
* Lookout Security [NOT PAYING FOR THIS]
I want to be able to delete these without having to install another Rom...
Is this possible????

+1. Or there's a tmo debloater zip that removes most of those apps if not all of them floating around dev section. I think in one of XBoarders threads. You still have to be rooted though. Some rooted ROMs also come debloated.

have to be rooted, like was stated. i personally use titanium backup. also, dont forget to remove carrier iq. theres an apk and a lib file. its listed as system manager or something like that...

I effing hate the wifi calling feature... I had 30Mbps download with 6Mbps upload and my quality was absolutely horrible. Its a useless feature for me because I live in Chicago. I have good coverage everywhere. But that feature is highly annoying. It used to just turn on by itself and destroy my battery life on my G2x.

I think it's useful in some situations. For example at the workplace there are areas of office that we get absolutely no signal. Something about the really thick brick walls, metal and other electronics all over the place. We do have a wireless network for some of our office equipment with internet access. It's nice to jump on the wifi and place calls when all of my other partners are having to go outside or in the lobby to place their calls.

I guess you're right about that..... But I still don't like it trying to run itself in the background when I don't need it.... Plus ... like I said... for me, I don't really have service issues.... knock on wood....

Yeah I hated those apps too...
BUT be careful....
once you delete them you may have problems like I did...
This that disappeared once I deleted my apps:
Bluetooth, wifi, hot spot, gps, and there was one more but I don't remember....
MAKE SURE TO FREEZE THE PROGRAMS..... BACK THEM UP.... THEN ERASE THEM.... AND I WOULD RECOMMEND USING TITANIUM BACKUP PRO.....

1. Don't like talk radio...
2. Lil wayne is ok....
3. I use my iPod touch because I like to keep the battery on my phone close to full when I'm out.... I have a 16gb internal and an 8gb external but I don't have a 999999999 mAh battery....
4. iPod touch has an amazing battery life ..... don't have to charge it for like 10 days.... that's the only reason why I bought it was because of the battery life....
5. Bloat sucks....
p.s. the headphones that I use require some energy to power them.... so that would drain my battery quicker...

sMMS is what is being referred to:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22509
or

I like the Picture Message app they released. With it I can add multiple pictures and voice memo in MMS. Couldn't figure out how to do that and see other media files with sMMS. So still end up using IE to get audio files inside MMS. Their app actually integrates with Wmobile so while looking at pics in Picture viewer you get the Send Picture Message in the Menu. Its true you need more than 15 meg free memory for it to run.
15 megs free is ridiculous considering how little the mogul has to begin with
thank good for sMMs
Here is a little app I made to quickly pull up service menu's. Enjoy!
This app is free and opensource.
V2.1 Can now be downloaded in the android market! - 11-14-10
(If you have the original version downloaded from here installed you need to uninstall it first then download the one from the market.)
Now works on 2.2 Froyo!
*Updated 10-07-10 to v1.3 Made the buttons larger and changed the GPS to work with the new JI6 OTA update. Also note that at least for now I will only be updating this for the Samsung Vibrant OTA roms. It is getting to time consuming to keep changing the codes for all the different Galaxy S phones/roms.
*Updated 9-3-10 to v1.2 Changed the look to accommodate more buttons and added more options.
Menus in v2.1:
Service Mode
GPS Settings
Battery / Phone Info
Show IMEI
Factory Reset
LCD / Speaker Tests
GTalk Monitor
Power Button Settings
Wifi Mac Address
Bluetooth RF Test
Bluetooth Device Address
Proximity Sensor Test
Factory Format with Warning
Warning: Use this program at your own risk. I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone by using this.

Definitely a nice app, like the "Network" app on the Market. Whenever you have to do those *# codes it just is nice to have an app lay it out nicely for you.
Great app, no issues, just a suggestion.... personally, I'm not big on the font style lol but awesome job man, much appreciated.
Yeah the font does need some work but unfortunately I did not have to many choices at the time. I will work on that in future updates. Thanks for the suggestion and for trying it out.

Ok after some positive feedback that I have gotten from my app I wanted to touch on an off-topic subject. This app was my very first app and for those that have not figured it out it was made in google app inventor. As of right now google will not let me add it to the android market purely because it was made in app inventor. It seems everyone thinks that allowing app inventor dev's into the market would flood the market with useless fart/wallpaper/etc. programs. Isn't that the way it already is? All they are doing is blocking people with less coding knowledge, but with good useful ideas for apps out of the market. Was my program useless? It may not be top notch but most people I talked to found it useful (and judging by the 250 downloads and 0 complaints). Well thats my 2 cents. Let me know if you agree or not?
thank you..

I seem to be the only one who voted against letting app inventor apps on the market. For precisely the reason you mentioned. Your app seems to be very useful, but I think there will be a lot more useless apps. And if that turns out to be true, then there will be even more crap in the Market than what's already there.
What I'd like to see is a separate section for App Inventor apps and somehow have these apps "graduate" to the main market. I don't know how that can be accomplished. Number of votes and downloads may not be enough since that could be gamed. Maybe some University could do app rating like on the App Store - not for disallowing apps from being uploaded on the Market, but just for rating.
As an aside, great job with this app.

I do see what you are saying, but... I don't agree that it will make the problems with junk apps worse. Just like with java/dalvik you still have to learn a lot about app inventor to make a good app. I could make a ton of bs apps in the regular environment with very little knowledge of code also. I am not looking for a paycheck, I am just looking to make helpful apps. I don't have the time or money to learn java, especially since I am not planning on being a full-time application developer. App Inventor allows me to make some useful apps in less time because some parts are already figured out for you. I would be fine with a separate section in the market, but not allowing our apps into the market at all is bull. Why should some douche making apps that do nothing more than pull up a porn website or make farting sounds be allowed into the market, but I can't put my useful apps in?

I am guessing that wasn't a joke lol (read the thread from a pc and you will find why this is funny). The xda app doesn't show the downloads or the poll. It is not in the market. Google wont allow it in the market because it was made in app inventor. You can download it from the OP or from my website in the downloads section. www.xxthe3dmanxx.com

Hi Just wanted to say "Thank - You" for the awesome app!
installed and tested and I really like what I see...so far!
on a few of the notes above/comments
I could care less about what you used to make it....so should/nt google market IMHO...on a side note I too am about to embark on this path too...but I have no skill's...yet
as for the fonts/graphics..looks fine to me....
points i'd "pop"
make the buttons bigger...4.0" of screen lets use it lol the buttons would be great for a g1...every one I show my Vibrant too loves the size....and no your not alone in making buttons too small for such a big screen....
not sure why/how this works but how come it seems to hang on the dial pad? can't you force it to return to the menu? without us hitting the return arrow..... -< sorry thats not what it looks like.... but hopefully you understand what I mean....
other than my minor tweaks I really love it...
I will deff help spread it to other vibrant owners!
Props Man! good job!

Viber is an Android* and iPhone application that lets you make free phone calls and send free text messages to other users that have Viber installed. When you use Viber, your phone calls to any other
Viber user are free, and the sound quality is much better than a regular call. You can call any Viber user, anywhere in the world, for free and now also text them. All Viber features are 100% FREE and
do not require any additional “in application” purchase.
****************************************************************************************************
WHY USE VIBER VS. OTHER VOIP (VOICE OVER IP) SOLUTIONS
****************************************************************************************************
* COMPLETELY FREE AND WITH NO ADS: Viber and all Viber features are absolutely free and do not require any additional “in application” purchase. Once you and your friends install the free Viber application, you can use it to talk and also text as much as you want. Just makes sure all your friends get Viber! All you need is an Internet connection: 3G or Wi-Fi where available. On top of that, Viber doesn’t contain any annoying ads.
* NO INTERNATIONAL CHARGES: It doesn’t matter where you or your friends are, be it on the same network or in a totally different country. You can talk for as much as you want, for free. Just make sure your friends have Viber too.
* NO USERNAMES, PASSWORDS OR REGISTRATION: You know your friend’s phone number, so why bother with yet another username and password? Viber uses your phone number as your “identity” and lets you make free Viber phone calls to any of your friends that have Viber – using THEIR phone number.
* NO NEED TO ADD BUDDIES: Unlike applications like Skype, Windows Live Messenger or Fring where you need to “add buddies” and have them approve you, Viber behaves just like a phone. Just like you don't need to “add” someone in order to call them, you don't need to add your friends in order to call them on Viber. If you know their phone number, then you know their Viber number, and you’re ready to go!
* DON’T KILL YOUR VIBER: To make sure you always get incoming calls/messages notifications, we strongly recommend you to keep Viber running in the background. This doesn't drain your battery or use up memory and improves your Viber experience.
* SOUND QUALITY: Viber uses state of the art technology in order to make sure the sound quality you get is much better than GSM or a regular phone call.
* MUCH MORE COMING: We are hard at work bringing many more features to your Viber phone. More ringtones (and custom ones), wallpapers, location based services and more are all coming soon to Viber!

There's a link to the apk in my dropbox. The site that the apk is back is horrible. Wouldn't dl from phone and had to wait five minutes just to dl from computer unless u sign up. Horrible site just horrible. But the apk is cool...enjoy
This is a good app for most other cell companies, but if you are with Sprint, what is the point of having this? The app requires that ANYONE you call also has the app installed. If that is true, then it is safe to say that the person you are calling is going to be on a cell phone. If that is also true, doesn't Sprint have Any Mobile AnyTime? Wouldnt your call to that person be free without the app? I guess I could see if you did a lot of international calls, but for people that dont make international calls, there is not much sense to download this app...just my opinion...take it or leave it.
Side Note: If it is Any Mobile Any Time, does that include international mobiles?

Ugh! Really? I prefer cereal or pancakes, but to each his own.
So this application uses data to make calls?

Why Don't you think of it the other way. People, who are with limited minutes on sprint or other carriers with data plans on their phone can call you for free. They do not have to worry about counting their minutes while calling you.
So you probably don't want to be selfish and do them a favor by installing this app.-
This would be a great app for ppl with limited minutes, to call others whom have the app including iPhone. I didnt see a harsh comment, I dont take words to heart, but all is well still living it up! I hope you'll enjoy it and it's Free calls local or international (if they have the app) and Free messaging.. Thx Pulser for redirecting
Be Safe

I'm loving this app. Will still keep Tango and Fringe installed though.

Thanks, the link in OP actually downloads an htm file and not an apk, so this was great.
Godzson good looking out yo!!! I haven't tried it out yet, but plan on doing so.
Yes, the vibes on the EVO 3D are not as friendly as is was on the EVO 4G forums. I hope they all come on board.
So this weekend i was driving around with my Note in its window mount and started thinking. What i really need is a way to trigger either Google Now or some other third-party app with voice-only controls. that way i could say Text Mom: Hi mom: and the phone would do so. Same with music, directions, calling etc.
As it stands, i have to manually activate these functions with physical contact. Is there any app out there that would listen for a key phrase to start an action?
Siri.
Or it's android counterpart ...."Skyvi "
Available on the play store..
I've toyed with it, and it's not bad.....g

Besides Siri on the iphone, the only thing I can find thats close is "assistant" in the market. Skyvi is only for sms, but assistant lets you create voice shortcuts. But nothing is handsfree - you have to wake up the phone and touch the app icon.

S-Voice.....just say "Hi, Galaxy!" To wake her up, and she'll carry out your orders without as much as a touch...how often can you say that about the other females in your life? You can even give her an alternate nickname, may I suggest a couple?:
Lea
Sexy
Smarty McSmartypants
Baby
Momma
The Esemesinator
Fatty
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Anyone else? He he. PM me. I'm looking to name my new computer. Just don't take over this poor guy's thread.

I am completely blown away with how terrible hangouts is. Other than aesthetics, the app is horrible.
1. No clean buddy list for GTalk friends. This one blows my mind. There is also not a separate list for phone contacts, which again, numbs my brain.
2. Much like the "most contacted" feature in gmail (I use the term "feature" sarcastically) you cannot change who is on your top list, nor do you have an option to hide it. You cant even erase who is listed there. This is absolutely garbage and needs to be removed.
FIXES:
1. Obviously, make a GTalk buddy list view.
2. Remove the "most contacted" area of hangouts. Stop being presumptuous and putting an ex-girlfriend on my most contacted list, who is no longer even in my phone or contacts list on Google...

What happened to voice call?
In google talk you could voice call someone without the video feature running concurrently. Do you always have to video chat with someone in order to communicate via audio? Am I missing something here. The voice only feature in Talk seemed to work a lot better especially with slow connections. How can I download the old Google Talk(last version) without have to do an OS reinstall on my phone and tablet? It really sucks that Google removed Talk from my devices under the guise of upgrading the program.
Beggers can't be choosers.

I know that current version is not upto the mark
but we can expect great additions later . After all its developed by those who developed Gtalk in the first place !
Also you can send your feedback , that will always help to improve your experience in the future :thumbup:

The current version sucks. Why take away something I'm already using that works and replace it with something that doesn't have the current features I'm enjoying? If you want to beta test their software go ahead.

Hahaha, this. So much this.
To be fair, it's not just Google that does this sort of thing, the Windows 8 People Hub is even worse. Interesting that communication applications that allegedly put the user first don't make allowances for a tragically common component of regular human interaction - the break-up.
