The team DFT from china has a project called WML（Windows Mobile Loader）which
can make wm6.1 as a application run on the Windows Phone.
Now,they have succeed support wm6.1 which is testing and then they will support wm 6.5

I thoght this team is international... So if wm can be used on mozart, is there possibility to run HaRET on wm? If yes, we can try to boot Linux kernel and if it will work we can port Anroid or MeeGo.
But Cotulla said, that MAGLDR from HTC Leo (HD 2) works with known issues on mozart and android can work only with command line mode... I can't post the original text because it is in Russian

Hi Junior,
All the Cooked ROMs in this thread are coming from Original WM6 ROM which was build for another type of Pocket PC. It was dumped from the original WM6 and cooked with the driver and other adaption file to be used in Prophet Device.

I just successfully upgraded my Kaiser to the HTC WM 6.1 WWE version. This required JumpSpl and HardSpl3.56 Could I use the exact same files to upgrade my Hermes? I am new to all this and do not understand if the software is ROM specific, or is it just like loading Windows XP on a HP or Dell computer?

No, check the Hermes WIKI if you want to update your knowledge quickly.
Each phone is different. Your Kaiser is like an Apple and your Hermes is like an IBM. Each os uses a different language base BUT, just like an Apple and an IBM, some apps are usable. The os language is different BUT when executing the cab files most will work across the HTC range as the os is Windows and reads things similarly. That doesn't mean you won't get a few surprise results or apps that don't work but mostly the apps work fine...
Now that I've garbled that up, the short answer is no, Kaiser roms for Kaiser, Hermes roms for Hermes. They can't be ported unless they are re-encoded...

The good News!!!…between so many problems by the Crisis…Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with a CE OS 5.2.21139 (Build 21139.5.0.0) already this in test (beta version) for our Sprint HTC MOGUL PPC-6800.
I believe that in a moment we will see ROMs with this OS on the part of the developers dcd1182, No2Chem and PPCGeeks.

I kinda wonder if WM6.5 will make our devices BOMB, considering the minimal amount of RAM we already have in WM6.1 .....
I doubt that anyone will port this to the titan until a device is actually released with a release version of 6.5.

As far as I know, Microsoft plans on WM 6.5 and 7.0. Although, coincidentally, Microsoft has Windows 7 for PC in beta currently.

I am in need of a WM 6.1 ROM for my Mega.
I have tested Blackberry connect in the Mega with WM 6.5 and there is no way it works so WM 6.1 is a must.

It is a must, anyway, I have spent my life with the stylus for the last 12 years and I hate to use my thumb otherwise I would have chosen a Iphone.

I experimentally backported the wm6.5 nk.exe for Whitestone which shipped with 6.5 to 21054. Use the oemxipkernel from 6.5 and the .ROM and .VM for 6.5 and the sys from wm6.1 DaG gave me those pointers. Many 6.5 oem pkgs may not work also so swap them for wm6.1 ones and use a wm6.1 htc scroll. I cannot get the gps detected/working (think call to ril for gps isn't coded to work on 6.1) but other than that its pretty speedy and all in all works much better than I thought.

I'd be intersted too, we use a program on our work pdas ( htc touch cruise)
its called infoanywhere nomadic client, which works fine on 6.1 but keeps slow polling on 6.5 roms ( HD2, Mega and diamond with a 6.5 rom)
Any news or does anyone know of a work round on nomadic client ?

Last night I installed a different operating system on my HD2.
Its called Leo AF WWE. Dumb me, I thought I was installing Android.
Is there a way for me to get the original WM 6.5 back?
Any help or advice, other then telling how dumb I am, LOL, will be appreciated.
Or if anyone has any comments on the Leo AF WWE Operating System...

I don't think it's an OS, but a ROM. So you still have Winmo 6.5, just a different ROM.

Yeah you need to download the original WinMo ROM which is somewhere on these forums and install it just like you did with that other one.
LEO AF WWE is not an operating system. Leo is the HTC code name for the HD2. WWE means world wide edition. Rom = Windows mobile. This means you put a worldwide english Windows mobile 6.5 rom on your phone. You need to give us more details if you want any help.
In addition: You need to read a lot more before you screw up your phone.
