When installing CM7, no mounted sd card??? - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

when i click "choose zip from sd card" it says something to the point of "can't mount / sd card" or something... i tried going back to the home menu and mounting sd card but it says the same thing. any ideas why?

Pop it out and back in.

Do I need to restart the device or can i just take it out and place it back in the nook tablet? thanks!

You can do that while in CWM. You may need to re-mount from the mounts menu.

Help installing CM10

I'm having issues upgrading from CM9 to CM10...
I downloaded the zip file of the most recent CM10 experimental and when I try to install the zip in CWM recovery it says that no files were found. I can't seem to pull up any of my files on the internal sdcard.
I had no issues installing CM9 or any of the nightlies.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there anything I can do to check into this? I have never had any problems access my internal sd other than this issue...
Maybe you switched the mountpoints in CM9? Can you access your external SD card (if you have one) from the recovery?

I don't have an external SD. I have no problem accessing my internal SD when the phone is on but just not when I'm in recovery.

Just do it the hard way. I can't think of anything else. Flash a Samsung stock ROM, then check whether the same problem exists there.

Don't know why it's unmounting, but you should be able to go to settings/storage and unmount then remount and get it back. I've had to do this on some ROMs and it works. You don't need to reboot then.

Maybe it's your sdcard. Have you tried another sdcard to see if that's the problem. Also try flashing a different rom to see if that cures your ailment.

great that you got it working, i would recommend trying to s-off your phone just because... so flashing rom's and fixing problems if any happens in the future will be easier

[Q] [HOW-TO] SD card safe to remove every reboot

I'm running the latest MROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836674 and everything is fine.
Though, every reboot, i get the message "Safe to remove sd card" right after "Preparing SD card"
I cannot backup rom onto SD card because of this.
How do I fix this?

If you are going to backup the ROM through recovery. You will just have to mount the SD card through recovery. BTW, is it the internal (if you have one) or external SD?

External SD card, internal is working fine.

Nope, even after I got MROM which was a week or so ago, it was all fine.
Ever since yesterday, i've been getting this error.

I would try re-flashing your ROM. and if the issue is still persistent, try fixing permissions through recovery.

Problem solved!
All I had to do was Settings>Storage>Erase SD card (THE EXTERNAL ONE) and everything is back up working.
All I had was an old clockwork backup file and some music on it, therefore noting valuable is lost.
Thanks for everything !

[Q] SD Card won't mount in recovery

Hey guys, I am rooted/unlocked running Jelly'Beans' Build 11 (going to build 12 tonight) and for some reason I can access my SD card while the phone is running normally, but when I boot to recovery it says I cannot mount the external SD to flash a file.
I get around this by just using the internal storage, but this is not ideal. Can anyone give me an explanation of why this might be happening, or maybe tell me how to fix it? Thanks!
either a bad sd card or you need to format the card to fat32.

If it were bad or formatted improperly, would I still be able to access and use it under normal phone conditions? I use it to save my pictures to, and I can access it from the phones file browser as well as when it is plugged into a pc.

cwm recovery does not recognize exfat. you will have move your files to a pc then format the card to fat32 if you want cwm to recognize it.

I tried switching to TWRP, but under the supported devices in CWM it only lists the Note 2 HSPA. and I am obviously on VZW. Is this ok?

This method worked for me. I am on a Galaxy S4 SGH m919. I stumbled upon this posting by doing a search. I was having a problem where my SD card is working but it wouldn't mount in recovery, so I couldn't restore back ups, of flash anything. I only had this problem after I had flashed Google Edition 4.3. I still don't know exactly what caused it, but this recovery TWRP did the trick. Thank you so much for helping me out!!
